Wicked Twister was an inverted roller coaster located at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, United States. Designed by Werner Stengel, it was a second-generation, double-twisting Impulse model manufactured by Intamin. Wicked Twister opened as the tallest and fastest inverted coaster in the world on May 5, 2002. It was retired by the park on September 6, 2021, and gave over 16 million rides during its lifetime.
No joke... The Wicked Twister was the very first ride I got on when I went to Cedar Point in the 5th grade...😭

This was one of my favorite rides at CP... Im so mad they removed it completely and didn't just relocate it. The initial launch was such a rush and I loved how you zoomed back and forth thru the station 3-4 times... especially going backwards. We love you Wicked Twister!

@@ourgiftisLOVE no. No one died. That rarely happens. Roller coasters are safer than cars. It got demolished to make room for more stuff. It got replaced this year.

For anyone curious the rollercoaster one is in Cedar Point near Sandusky Ohio I’ve been there before and the raptor in my opinion is the best ride they have

The second video is the steel venom. You might be confused at first but the Wicked twister has 2 twist on the ride, one on the front. And one on the back. While steel venom has a twist too, but steel venom only has 1 twist. And the twist is on the front. And the back is a holding break like what you saw in the video. The holding break is only for about 1-2 seconds.
I miss wicked twister but the funny thing was I got the very last ride on wicked twister but it was also my first time on it
It's a damn shame. This is when Cedar Point started its decline. Damn private equity firms are destroying everything good.

I’m a local. My friends and I would skip one day at the end of the school year every year in high school because the park would be a ghost town before school let out. This was always our first ride

some clips are from other impulse coasters, you can tell because they have straight spikes, wicked twister is the only old-school impulse to have two twisted spikes.
The one that shows a straight side, that thing was swaying as it supported the weight of the cars. Nuts!
Roller coasters are designed to do that.
Brilliant ride. Track layout was basic, but it gave a grand jolt regardless.

Remember when Hostess dared to discontinue Twinkies? An army size of angry Twinkie fans got serious with some pipes and bats and today you got Twinkies on your store shelves. We need to stop all of these emotions about it and channel our efforts and get the coaster back where it's home is. Even if you have to throw out the Pepsi Barn to make some room for it. Where there is a will of many there is a way in the end a great smile finally on all of your faces.

I rode that at Dourney the other day (under the name Possessed). The drop isn't the scary part. It's the abrupt start and the lift on the straight tower.

RIP luckily I was able to ride it literally the season before it was removed
I went when i was like 10 and I am so glad they forced me to stay on(the ride was about to start but I said I want to get off and they said they are starting it so they can't) otherwise I would've never gotten to ride it. I rode the Ferris wheel like a week ago and saw the area where it used to be. I can see they are building something but it's just like square holes in the ground.
What doesn’t kill us make us stronger right? I am sure it takes 3-4 years for us to find out the complete project
