Ever wondered if the luxurious side of Overlanding was right for you? This very well equipped Off Road Meaner Bean by @BeanTrailer is perhaps one of the most comfortable and capable teardrops available for the overland market. I had the opportunity to pull this lightweight trailer with both my Toyota Tacoma and Ford Raptor, both trucks managed the trailer well and got decent fuel economy. Equipped with Timbren independent suspension, a roof rack and tent,solar hookups, heater and kitchenette you could practically live out of this thing with ease.

My Name Is Tobi while trailers are depreciating assets, high quality, well built trailers hold their value pretty well. You can resell in the future for good money. I bought my teardrop used to save a bit on the initial depreciation.
My Dad was big into hangliding in the 70s ....no motor just wind. I really like the channel Maxx!

Max I would buy a tear drop trailer but from TeardropNW which is here in Salem Oregon! Way better but have to say the bean one is sick but I feel like the one I recommend is more off road capabilities

We have a T@B 320 Outback which we love. Higher off ground and larger inside. I think your Bean is on the right track it will take sometime to get everything worked out. I could tell you did not own it as you were a bit hard on things and the need for a party rig is not necessary in my world.

Nope no toilet that I know of. I suppose you could carry a portable one though.
@@Maxx.Powell floor storage compartment has room for a portable toilet. Bean is a great place to take care of business with all that sitting room and the Maxxfan!
Which rooftop tent do you prefer or would you prefer for being over the bed of a Tacoma? The Ikamper or the FSR tent you already own and have used? Thanks!
FSR recently came out with a really rad hardshell tent. Unfourtunetly it wont fit my Raptor. I really want a hard shell tent this time so I am considering the Ikamper Skycamp Mini

Bean weighs 1400 to 1800 lbs depending on model and configuration.

The Meaner Bean Trailer goes from 18,500 to $30,000 that's a lot of money for a rinky dink little trailer.
Sure is a lot for someone like me, but "A lot of money" is always just a matter of perspective 😏

I just looked up the Mean Bean trailer on google. Its listed at almost 17K!!.? I cant even stand up in it! 17k is a real good start to a nice toy hauler that will proably have cup holders in it too! Still pretty cool but not at them $$$.
Yeah not cheap thats for sure but not everyone wants to stand up in a trailer or has the vehicle to pull somthing gigantic. A lot of people want a small compact package that's quality. I get that.
The Mean Bean is a different model, he had the Meaner Bean it starts at $18,695 for a striped out base model and is $29,564 for a fully loaded one, it's on there website.
I just built a Chesapeake Lightcraft teardrop camper. It's built using boatbuilding techniques so it's impervious to water. I built my own trailer and used Timbren off-road suspension so I could do light overloading with it. In total I spent about $6,000, but about 400 hours of labor.
Yes, the price of most decent teardrops are nearly that of a large camper but they're nearly as expensive to build. I would need to sell mine for at least $15,000 just to make a small income.
Once you build something like this yourself, you can easily see why these companies sell them for so much.
The appeal of teardrops isn't space, in fact it's the tiny minimalism and maneuverability and tow ability that attracts most buyers.
