  • The Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure is a steel sit-down roller coaster. It tops out at a height of 70 feet, reaches a top speed of 45 mph and has two corkscrew inversions. The Corkscrew was added by Roger Jourden to help turn his small deer park petting zoo into a full-fledged amusement park, and it was the first roller coaster built at the park. Riders must be 48 inches or taller to ride. It is one of the oldest original Arrow coasters still in existence. Arrow Dynamics has built several Corkscrew coasters and some, such as the Corkscrew at Cedar Point, or the Corkscrew.
    Max speed: 45 mph
    Height: 70′
    Duration: 30 seconds
    Height restriction: 4′ 0″
    Track length: 1,250′

Went on it just last Friday, not the biggest coaster fan and my god, this was bigger than I expected, but I went on it and had a great time. They also changed the color to a light blue which I like more.

I used to love this ride when I was a kid. My dad's family is from Michigan so we used to visit every summer and we would always go to Michigan Adventures. The last year I went was in '98, the year they opened Shivering Timbers.

This was the first roller coaster I rode that featured inversions. I was sweating nervously on my first ride, but now everytime I ride it, it's basically a walk in the park! I know one ride only last 70 seconds, but it's still fun.

It's cute, and this was in 2019 so it still had the yellow orange track, but marissa and I can confirm that this coaster does not have fast lane and it's the longest wait in the park because it's right by the front entry.

This Corkscrew is a carbon copy of the one that operated at Knott’s Berry Farm back in the day. Except this Corkscrew Coaster doesn’t have those ugly overhead arch supports for the inversions like the Corkscrew at Cedar Point also.
