Michigan’s Adventure was planning on having a resort. It was a big hotel, a campground, and a convenience store/gas station. But the Cedar Fair company felt threatened by this because they did not want any competition from Cedar Point, and bought them out so that never happens.
If that was true, then Kings Island in Ohio would never have any investments. The truth is that there is no demand to expand Michigan’s Adventure. It’s a regional park. Which is fine for it’s location.
@ryangrinstead5932 no your wrong michigans adventure was supposed to get a Morgan hyper coaster but cedar fair stopped that and has not really in tested in the park...😢😢😢
I when their for the first time yesterday
I can CONFIRM shivering Timbers is 100% better and smoother in the front. My last trip I rode back seat and I’ve been going to Michigans adventure for over 10 years. And I had my worst ride ever in the back. I can’t even begin to explain the difference between those seats. In the Front it’s a Phenomenal woodie. In the back it will shiver your spine 😂 but I love it a lot. And also the best food in the park is just the picnic area like $15 for unlimited hot dogs and picnic foods. But it’s stupid it’s not on the dining plan… so dining plan foods no there’s nothing. Which is crazy. But great video!
This park needs more bigger rides and coasters. especially launch coaster or a Mega-Hyper Coaster either by Chance Morgan, or Mack. Maybe a B&M Ski Coaster if not a B&M invert, hell there is skiing up in Michigan.
If you would let an enthusiast run a park they would all have RMC giga's with over 20000 feet of track
This park deserves better! Even if its just some simple park upgrades!
Welcome to the Mitten - The script was very well-written and dang it, I love the closing line about the wooden coaster. Brilliant.
Michigan's Adventure is very photogenic. Out of curiosity, what restaurant in Muskegon did you hit up? There's one out there that makes some iconic soups.
I would love Michigan's Adventure to be the Cedar Fair Park that has a nice air-conditioned Walk through dark-ride, something fun like Noah's Ark, but Great Lakes themed.
If I had to add a coaster, it would be something small, inexpensive, and steel with lots of airtime and a smooth inversion or 2. Ideally, I would love CA's Great Adventure to send them Railblazer or Flight Deck or even Patriot, but I'd love to see something launched as well, or heck, a Eurofighter or a Chance Coaster like Lightning Run, pretty much anything TBH.
Now, Michigan has zoning rules over how tall coasters can get like Cali does, but I think with the above options, we can get one to have a winning one-two punch that attracts enthusiasts as well as thrill seekers who normally don't go on rides. (Michigan's the kind of state that has everything, but nobody wants to go out and enjoy them once they hit 21. A new ride a year, maybe a rotating ride could change the game with locals).
MI Adventure draws with the waterpark, so I'll give them that.
Cool Vid boss, great job
Thank you for the compliments! Not sure if it was the best restaurant, but we ate at Dockers Seafood, and we thought it was excellent.
It was mine and Marissa's home park back in 2019, coming from Walker, Grand Rapids.
We spent at least half the time in the water park, just lazy days together all summer.
Will forever hold a place in my heart.
You missed half of the park in the water park which is included in the price. People who go there always hit a few rides in the am then go to the water park for 4-5 hrs before doing a few more rides at the dry park to finish the day. Its a perfect spot for families or those who are seeing the top thrill of cedar point, there is alot of action here and well worth the trip.
Agree the water park is excellent whole day experience. Add sand dunes and great lake beach and you have a rounded A+ destination full vacation.
As a ride operator at Michigan's Adventure watching this: Who let you take your phone out on all the coasters >:[
I think it’s a go pro
we have nostalgia for this park as it was my oldest daughter's first park and revisited a couple years ago( national coaster day) for my younger daughter to grab credits! We collectively agreed to never visit again!
I went there and i thought it was good
I would only come for the ripcord ride but then I would probably just go to the one at cedar point
Seems like a decent park 🎢
Shivering Timbers has the longest drop to end brake run duration of any wooden coaster at 95 seconds in operation today except The Voyage. It also ties with T-Express as the 2nd and third longest wooden coaster with one lift hill. It looks like it could beat Ghostrider which is saying a lot; but not as good as The Voyage, (tied with Velocicoaster as my 2 biggest biggest bucket list coasters) but still a bucket list coaster for me. (But how could you say KI had little shade? It's got more shade than Cedar Point!) Thanks for posting your impressions; even though I've not been to this park; you've earned my trust.
I forgot to say "...and all this from a mere 107' drop!"
8:12 We gotta see your Kennywood review. Do you have something against amusement park shootings?
I was there a day before you 😮
Rated above Kennywood? I spit out my coffee boy! You must have had a BAD experience because Kennywood is in my top 5.
Yea we did not have a good time. Haven’t been since 2019, but we waited 4 hours for Steel Curtain because of many break downs, operators not caring about their guests, and one train ops. That was true for every coaster.
@CoasterLegendYT Honestly Just Come Back In The Night And Ride Steel Curtain Phantom's Revenge Is The Best Ride There And It Never Has A Line So Just Marathon That And The Other Coasters And Come Back To.Steel Curtain Later
I had no expectations at all when I visited this park but still left disappointed.
Full Park Review, ignores half the park. Make that one make sense? You ignored the waterpark and didn't mention several rides.
i can hear the spit shooting from your mouth every single time you speak
Yea Michigan’s trash I hate it here 😂😂
