    Finally worked my way backwards thru most of the videos and got to the T34. episode 1 .. Jack is skinny, nore tidy clothes.. and looks like Malcolm McDowell from "A Clockwork Orange".. Love going thru all these Tank videos from you guys.. Might have to get a T shirt to wear here in America...

    Seen the short of the engine running, came straight here and subbed within seconds of starting the video. Loved the beauty shots at the end.

    A pair of very creative Cloggies (MasterMilo) got a Tsomething and completely rebuilt it. They even bought two spare engines.
    They had a world of grief timing the transverse V12 .....

    Holy moly! Polish Belma horn/siren. This brings back childhood memories. Volunteer firefighters had an old truck with sirens and horns of this make. Unfortunately I can't spot an eagle on the turret - tank might be of polish make nonetheless. Edit: now that I look at it - there are polish insignia on the turret.

    4:00 engines don't get "addicted" to easy start, you just keep masking the trouble starting issue until its fucked enough to not start.

    • @Vile-Flesh
      @Vile-Flesh ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I never thought of it like that but that makes total sense. I remember an instructor at automotive tech school telling us some horse shit theory of why he thought diesel engines got addicted to easy start in that, his words, the cylinders became coked or some shit and...............I forgot what else he said after that. That instructor was a real crackpot and I hated his classes.

    They don't get addicted to Easy Start, if the engine is healthy it'll start if it's f'ed then it needs ether. Mind you it's an old Soviet tank so could have had it fitted from new considering the extreme cold.

    …you Guyz seem to have loads of fun with figuring all the ‘ailments’ herewith
    Its great watching
    > to think this equipment went to War at some stage (or was meant to⁉️)
    PSE do NOT go and ‘demilitarise’ the canon barrel / armament now will you⁉️
    I saw Guyz doing that in Russia, which is a dire shame to commit to these historical pieces…they’re irreplaceable 😳‼️

    The russky T - jerry clearly nicked the turret for their Porsche turreted Konigstiger and the hull slant for the Panther, later also per the above. Just... too BiG to be supported.. 💦

    It was drowning in easy start, could well be flooded. If you have you confirmed fuel injection and no excess water in fuel, sometimes the old blowtorch to superheat the induction air can help.

      I reckon the bottom end is fried, that is exactly how the V-2-34 V12s behave when they've spun every bearing... These old girls only had a life expectancy of about 12 miles, give or take. The way they worked was by throwing vast numbers of them at the opposition. Precisely the opposite to the way Germany handled things with their super-engineered beauties. What a life, eh? I wouldn't give you a fiver for it...

    Russian tanks of that era were made of such low quality steel that often they would develop cracks at stress points with no apparent reason. The whole Russian design philosophy was that a typical tank would last no longer than a month or two so they did not invest in making them both easy to work on or of high quality!

    • @DonHaka
      @DonHaka ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1: Calling any of the tanks developed and produced by the USSR "russian" is a misnomer, as it completely negates the various different peoples of different ethnic background who worked together in the USSR. The correct title would be "Soviet", as in soviet tanks, soviet buildings etc.
      2: The "russian" design philosophy is something i would like to see your source on. The actual reality of the situation that they were in (the first 2 years of the german invasion) is what lead the soviets into using all kinds of steel in production because of how desperate the times were.
