tip, at lush they show you how to use the bars and they say they work better when you smash them up and then get your hands wet and turn them into a paste and then introduce it to your water. Also they say you break each bar into about four pieces. They're not meant to be used and one bath and in fact we've cut them into as many as eight 1-2 TBSP size pieces and they bubble up just fine.
This is great for home use! For sales you need to use dyes or micas!
Of course when you use micas you need to use other ingredients.
I want to make this for friendsgiving but like in December lol. Thank you for the recipe!
Awesome thank you for sharing
I am reiterating other comments and saying that Lush bath bombs last for WAY MORE than just one bath. I easily get 5 baths out of a snow fairy bubble bar, for example. Sometimes even 6. Crumble it into a sieve and hold it under hot running water and you get more bubbles too.
OK so I finally tried out your recipe this weekend and while I can vouch for the foam and bubbles those are insane the formula does bubble a lot, but I don’t know what I did wrong because my dough was just so sticky and doughy and fluffy it would not hold shape at all, and it would stick to everything. I will keep trying and thanks for the great recipes
Those are some great bubbles!
Aren't they fun?! I was so impressed! They made for a great bath!
Got to try this
Thankyou for the tutorial so helpful.💖
What other colors can you use instead of gel food coloring? Can you use water solable color?
Love it!!
I cant wait to try this! Its so hard to find bubble bath for kids where i live. I have many soap molds as well as silicone molds. Do you think it would work well with forming them that way? Also, did the dye stain your tub at all?
Ok made them had to add alot more glycerin dough was too dry. Bubbles good. I also have to figure out essential oil amount the smell wasnt strong. Just used one. Will make again until i perfect it. Thanks!
perhaps this was what I need to do...cause same!! It was like a crumble texture and definitely not like playdoh
Do you really need both cornstarch and creme of tartar?
These are such a cute idea...... question... could you use one color and push into a molded shape? Like little roses or something?
Yes y not?
11:07 hello, I made your recipe 7 days ago, added a little extra glycerine. The bars had, what seemed to me, alot of Glycerin sweat. On day 5 of drying, I used one of the smaller end pieces to test them. As it was still moist inside, I began to mess with drying in the oven. The test piece had almost no bubbles. Day 6, tried another, same result. Any ideas? All ingredients were fresh, same SLSA that you recommend.
Thank you in advance.
My guess is that it was because you added extra glycerine. That's why your bars had glycerine sweat and wouldn't dry out well. Glycerine draws moisture from the air to moisturize so I'm sure this was your issue. I would definitely try again with less glycerine, this recipe worked perfectly for me multiple times. Good luck!
@@MakeLifeLovely I used your recipe and my dough was a crumble texture that stuck together when pushed, but crumbles when pushed too hard and definitely could not roll without cracking apart. Any advice?
that’s awsome!!
Thanks so much! They work so well and make such nice fluffy bubbles. 🛁
I need some of those
You totally should make some!
Where is the snow ferry sent.?
SO, just tried this today...and no way was our dough this wet and sticky. It is still SO crumbly. I could not get it to roll whatsoever. Ended up just blobing it together and forcing it into a tube shape. Your recipe specifically said not to add more liquid so...I am confused. Ha!
