This is Ma Long in his prime. The Ma Long in 2019 WTTC had more pace control in his game while Ma Long in 2015 was faster and more powerful. It's difficult for me to pick the better version of Ma Long. But if I have to choose, I think I will choose the 2015 Ma Long because I think 2015 Ma Long can also play a more control game if he needed to. He probably didn't need to since he was fast enough that he doesn't need to slow the game down on anyone.
Ma long prime was 2010 -2012. Was unstoppable. Went on a winning spree of 35-40 matches. A record I believe. Only Wang hao could outplay him. Please do some research before blurting out disinformation.
@@mindrover777 I do know that winning streak, buddy. But stylistically, if you really understand the game and the technique, you should know that Ma Long's game was more complete since 2015. Also, even without a better winning stream, his international record in 2015 was unparalleled with only 1 lost in the entire year.

@@mindrover777 Lol The only thing I can agree with you that there is a difference between ML of before and after 2015. But, the later ML has improved and more consistent with his backhand control and plays a much better tactical game. The ML before that was just a looping machine who depended too much on his brute power and favored the far from the table rallies. Everyone can see that. If you can't really see it, then I don't wanna waste time arguing with you. There is no point. I'm not gonna tell you to clear your mind because I don't really care of what you think.

Although ML from 2011-2012 is so strong but still lack of technique ,weak backhand and his mentality that why he never won big title at that time . ML improve a lot in 2015 in his mentality and all of his game. plz watching and comparing it again man

Fan's bh has great improvement these years comparing to his performance in this match.
It wasnt even bad back here xD still better then than a lot of other more ecperienced pros.

You could really see that in the first 4 sets, he didn't really think of fzd as an opponent. In the 5th one, he completely destroyed him, and fzd didn't even play badly, ma long was just too good.
