That look was basically saying how dare you make me sweat, I wanted a easy day lol. But Samsonov is undoubtedly one of the most consistent player of all time.
What a RALLY from Zhang Jike and Vladimir Samsonov at 12:43, really expect their spectacular show in the following great match, the men's single semifinals of Rio 2016 Olympics
And with your perceived improvement probably also came wrist injury. Referring to a pro’s form is beneficial, but trying to replicate them is like a honda civic trying to replicate a muscle car. You will get injured. Hell, even Zhang Jike himself with all the conditioning and certainly insane amounts of physical care done for him was still prone to injuries due to his playstyle and form.
@@user-lq2nu6cn7y it was about the fact that Zhang Jike is playing his forehands like they're nothing. I can't get the same technique as him but just from looking at his body language to the game, he is so relaxed and he's not even thinking about his forehand topsins. I simply applied that to my game and I improved.
After reading youre comment, i've also returned to that rally and studied it and i think it has improved my game. My weakness is attacking high balls with top/side spin on it. Watching ZJ handle it so well is very helpful!
Only Chinese take timeout leading 7:3. I wonder what did they discuss? What are they gonna have for dinner after the match or how to beat the traffic on the way home?)
+antoshadon whatever he told him it worked lol. zhang won 4 straight points. probably he wanted to give zhang some breaths and prevent a samsonov comeback
fFantastic match. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for posting this video. Question: it looks like Samsonov is wearing a butterfly shirt. Is he sponsored by butterfly now?
Samsonov would have been the best chopper of all time. Better than JSH.This blocking game works wonders at the amateur level.you win tournament after tournament because most of your opponents make a lot of errors while attacking. This gives most players with a block and control based playing style the idea that they will be equally successful at PRO level. Dont work that way. Better being a quirky chopper than a blocker at pro level.
@@danieltheunissen4790 Compared to Zhang Jike or Fan Zhedong, he is pretty much a blocker.Even Liu Guoliang said Boll has a better backhand attack and Boll doesn't even have the best backhand among German players.
4:38 that stare...
Probably wondering "what is this guy made of?"

Perfect play by Zhang! Explosive power + Great technique. Love his reverse pendulum.
3:33 absolutely insane

5:39 powerful backhand by Zhang Jike
3:34 That is probably the longest rally I have seen in table tennis
For attackers, it's unusually long and shows exquisite technique on both sides. Defenders can do much longer, but god they're bo-o-oring.
Just from watching 3:33 point. My game improved so much just from watching Zhang Jike's forehands.

@@user-lq2nu6cn7y and for your information, I have never had a wrist injury playing table tennis

+antoshadon Actually LGL told ZJK to think of it as 0:0 after Samsonov's great rally.
hahaha maybe what bitches theyre gonna hit up to take to the club after.

+antoshadon Zhang Jike felt discomfort in his shoulder apparently. Risking long-term injury certainly needs discussion.
@@cllllllllllyes see 13:02 his shoulder is painful
ZJK on a whole different level
I can't be the only one who thinks Samsonov's body shape when he serves his funny af

I really wonder who had idea for that red color next to the flags. I guess the same guy who invented that angle from latest wttc
Since when did zhang jike start saying Cha?

They don't have much better use of it anyway
