Thanks for the video. There are not much rallies in this match as in the 3/4 place one. Maybe ML is too fast and too powerful? Or it's just the new style that the Chinese plays are following after the change of the new material ball?
ball hit the net then dropped down to hit the metal portion of the net. Fan thought it hit the table, Ma pointed the metal portion. Any part of the net assembly (including the posts and clamps) counts as the net, so in short the ball hit the net twice and went out. From Fan's side, it probably looked like an edgeball.
