Watching this video has made me realize, I have more cameras than I thought I did. I pass down my old phone when I get a new one to a family member. However, I have a stack of older phones from the iPhone 11, on down to the 4S. I just realized I can re-add these to my Apple ID and use them strictly as cameras for the multi camera view function! This is great news. Thanks for the demo Stephen!
Glad it was helpful! And yes, this is a great use for older devices. Plus, you actually don't *have* to log them in to your Apple ID. The devices can pair with that four digit code, and once paired will be recognized ongoing!
Can I use the iPad app to preview and adjust settings while recording from just ONE iPhone without a subscription, or do I NEED to pay to do this? I intend to edit on my Mac.
Can you make a video tutorial of just editing without multicam? all YT videos on FCP for ipad talks about multicam. please make a separate video for that.
The camera app is great and very useful, however I can't think of many real-world uses of FCP for ipad as i would always prefer to edit on a mac. It would only make sense if you were away from home. Therefore it is a shame that you must pay a subscription to use this new multicam set up, and then edit elsewheree anyway. That said, great video and thank you for demonstrating it all.

@@beardfmis the camera on the iPad Pro M4 much better than the iPad Pro M1 and the M2 camera
Great way to start my morning. Thanks Stephen!
(In Tim Cook Voice): Good morning!
GREAT video! Real world use of the iPad and FCP! Tired of some channels that lay down on benchmarks over and over Lol
Appreciate that! thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Wow!! great overview. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
My favorite channel hands down
Appreciate that!
Are there any plug-ins for the Final Cut Pro for iPad?
Great job

Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Thank you! You too!
Does DaVinic have something like this??
So no video switching on the iPad? I was hoping for the iPad to be the hub for switching and audio with a rodecaster.
I thought that would be the case too, but it's just live previewing, and then a straight Multicam clip in the project.
can you use this feature for any iPad or does it have to be an M4 iPad Pro?
It looks like there’s been a few dropped frames in your recordings. I’m experiencing the same issue.

I go through the basic here! th-cam.com/video/mrvn9syq5ns/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bkXozNx4MqbnNhdc
Will it open in the Mac FCP can you XML out of there?
You can send the project to a Mac but not the other way around.
@@beardfm that’s cool then out of FCP desktop I think if you need to and just want the cuts and finish elsewhere I think.

Appreciate it! Some prefer and edit on iPad regularly (Fernando Silva from 9to5 Mac for instance), but I vastly prefer the Mac too.
Yeah
True
❤
Thanks!
Not being able to sync external audio to this makes it significantly less useful if you want to edit on iPad..
There may be a way to do it but I couldn't figure it out.
this is not in-depth, this is just about multicam
It's in-depth on Multicam as that was the new feature
No video recording pause function - no interest.
It does need a pause option for sure.
Just say no to rent-ware.
