Imo Rise of the Ronin hasn't released a full uncut gameplay video. What are they hiding? Dragon Dogma 2 has soon everything and given detailed responses about game features from the development. I'm getting DD2 day 1 and I'm waiting for player reviews on Ronnin.

In Dragon's Dogma 2, you make it sound like changing character vocations is kind of limited. When it's not. You can go to any inn or guild and change your vocation. Change your playstyle whenever you want.
Get them both if you can and then play them 1 at a time so you will have another game to play because from what it’s looking like the Fall is gonna be VERY!.. dry 👀
There's Rise of the Ronin, No Rest for the Wicked, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Unicorn Overlord all releasing in approx. 1 month period. Those games alone will make me stay occupied until early summer. And by then, Elden Ring's DLC will be released... I also have Tekken 8 online ranked to play non-stop. 2024 is honestly an amazing year for gaming.
I’m getting both. I love samurai/ninjas based games which Rise of Ronin scratches, then you have Dragon Dogmas 2 is a fantasy open world itch that’ll get scratched
DD2 first and I'll play Rise of the Ronin around May after playing Stellar Blade next month. Still have to finish FF7 Rebirth. My backlog just keeps getting bigger :(
Personally, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is going to be my pick, but Rise of Ronin looks fun too. Might consider it. But for now I am waiting for my DD2 deluxe edition🎉
DD2 is gonna be amazing. I can already see myself playing through it a couple different times. But if Ronin really nails the combat and has a decent open world, I’ll be happy. It just sucks they both come out on the same day! 😩
Hmm why a xbox over a pc ? I don't see the point of xbox right now. Sony at least has its amazing exclusives but even they are coming to pc now (years later being the only thing that make me feel ps is a good buy)

It is expensive and the plug and play nature of console is handy....but I figur most people would have a pc anyhow for work and/or just general use at home so why not get a gaming one...

Same people who are not getting tricked by fancy visuals can see this game for what it is. And by comparison I think Rise will be more fun despite fidelity being second nature in design. A pretty game doesn’t mean it’s a great game by default and people need to understand that. But this is a generation raised on ultra realistic looking games. As opposed to someone like myself at 31 who saw the graphical leaps over the last 25 years in the industry and had plenty of fun with games that looked like Nintendo 64 titles in 2003.

I have my own questions about dragons dogma, while rise of ronin is more straightforward. In particular, the original Dragon's dogma, my biggest problem with that game was the jankyness with the online elements and the end game being... well very disjointed. The game up until that point was extremely solid. So I want to wait to see if Capcom other than the pawn system completely keeps Dragon Dogma single player. Because I don't want a repeat of that.
Both are going to be amazing. I feel as though people played Nioh and said “if this was open world this would be sick!” And voila we get Ronin. Either way - I’m buying both. Playing FF7 till these and then encumbered till stellar blade drops.
I've been going through this for the last month or 2... And just when I think I know which one I want on launch day...I see something that sways me the other way... dragons dogma is one of my favs but I’m gonna have to wait till after I play ROTR love team ninja games and the early 19th century is such a cool time for a samurai game in my opinion. Gotta support team ninja they are truly under appreciated and I hope they start getting the recognition they deserve. That being said I’m def getting both at some point
Ghost of tsushima was my favorite game from the ps4. I put a lot of hours into it and was waiting for rotr. But when i heard about dd2 it completely changed my mind on which im getting…
DD2 all the way, Rise of the Ronin looks fascinating and I will get it eventually but the whole feudal japan setting is just used way too much. Fantasy RPG's just gives you more freedom. Not to mention that it's basically Capcom's answer to Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 😁 💯 😎 🙏 ❤
I think it's DD2 will undoubtedly be the better overall product. With rise of the ronin, I honestly don't even have enough confidence to pre-order or buy day1 despite my love for souls-likes, they just change up their formula too much too fast and it's yet to be seen if this new formula is a hit or miss. The open world of RoTR is also concerning, they're not known for amazing level design, so idk if they can pull off an open world after we just had ER and ToTK recently. Nonetheless, I want to struggle with too much games rather than too little games. 2024 shaping up to compete with 2022-23.
If they were both on PC at release i'd likely get both but Rise of the Ronin would be my first pick. The Team Ninja combat, character creation, & choices that actually have an effect are the main selling points for me. However, since only Dragon's Dogma 2 is coming out on PC at launch, i'll settle for that. Whenever Rise of the Ronin comes to PC, i'll get that, same with Stellar Blade. I honestly have my PS5 for no reason at this point.
For me it depends what you like more fantasy or Japanese environments there is no wrong choice to make I personally like the Japan environment and samurai quite a lot so I’m going with rise of the ronin

Rise of the ronin is more of my thing. Fast paced action, super deep combat with many movesets, combos and insane action. Open world will definitely be better in ronin cause of traversal, parkour and horse mount. Dragons dogma only has on foot and carriages which are super slow. Will def get drsgons dogma 2 later on this year tho

@L10N. I'm speaking on how each developer crafted the open world and put love, care and detail in them, meaningful things to do. Ronin is a Ubisoft like open world with super repetitive camps to take over and super lame side quests.

Dragons dogma 2 without any doubt. Been waiting 11 years for sequel & looks like Rise of the Ronin will need some updates before I'm satisfied with it. Feel it needs a difficulty that makes combat more realistic. Slashing a standard enemy 5+ times to kill it just doesn't sound like it'll be as fun as GoT was
RotR should be a $50 game, i think this game was old gen as it was 8 years in development and when ps5 released they reworked it. I dont really mind graphics in games aslong as gameplay is good but man the game looks like a dynasty warrior game specially that horse animation, sekiro looks alot better.
Easy choice. These days a lot of games come out needing a few hot fixes before theyre at their best and i want DD2 to be the best it can be before i play it. So ill play RotR first

dragons dogma 2 without a doubt, beat the first 1 over a hundred times over the years absolutely loved it and i have no doubt i will love the sequel, i just hope it still has an eternal ferry stone and new game plus like the first 1 did

Dragons Dogma all the way. Heck, it was becoming a meme like titanfall 3 and all of a sudden announced. It does remind me of the first one dropping the same day as a big CoD (iirc) and getting buried. Hopefully it does well, and it keeps on going. They did great with the first one, lots of updates and whatnot. Edit: it was Ghost recon, not CoD. It was a busy first half of the year tho, Mass Effect 3, Xenoblades, Witcher 2 (on console) …point still stands, it got buried

@@chazmatazzgames Personally, I think it does. It was ahead of its time in some regards. Plus it received some upgrades here and there. However, technically it’s part of that last wave of games that came out right before the PS4. So it might not feel as sharp as some newer games.
I'm going dragon dogma first got hell divers and grand blue fantasy till ff7 rebirth and will play all those till dragon dogma 2 then when done with that don't think have any games coming out that interest me so then I'll probably get rise of the ronin🤣🤣
DD2 is more like a remake of the 1st game because the dev have to cut 60% of the 1st game due to budget so you don't have to worry about story but can always play it to check out the combat
Tbh I don’t think it’s even close DD2 will be the better game by a long shot I’m calling it now not to say that RR will be bad it looks amazing too but it’s not in the same ball park as DD2.

Ah, I never played the first one and now i feel like I’m missing out. I’m gonna need to go back at some point and play it. You think it still holds up well??
@@chazmatazzgames Personally, I think it does. It was ahead of its time in some regards. Plus it received some upgrades here and there. However, technically it’s part of that last wave of games that came out right before the PS4. So it might not feel as sharp as some newer games.

I'm going dragon dogma first got hell divers and grand blue fantasy till ff7 rebirth and will play all those till dragon dogma 2 then when done with that don't think have any games coming out that interest me so then I'll probably get rise of the ronin🤣🤣

DD2 is more like a remake of the 1st game because the dev have to cut 60% of the 1st game due to budget so you don't have to worry about story but can always play it to check out the combat

Tbh I don’t think it’s even close DD2 will be the better game by a long shot I’m calling it now not to say that RR will be bad it looks amazing too but it’s not in the same ball park as DD2.
