So many people are talking about the combat not being as complex as nioh but the devs specifically stated that, that wasnt what they were going for in the BTS( behind the scenes). They werent looking for crazy difficulty or anything. This IS NOT a "Souls-like". Which is why this game will also have multiple difficulties. This is also team ninjas first crack at an actual real open world if im not mistaken. This game also has a move narrative focus than their other games which they also stated. It seems like they put quite a bit of effort into the game imo. I think everyone just needs to chill out and just actually give the game a chance first. As long as they update it to address the issue's and take care of the community im kool....Also great review @Fextralife
I agree the game shouldn't be labeled as bad because "it isn't Nioh". However, the combat is a clear downgrade the moment you know who the devs of the game are and it wouldn't hurt the experience one bit if the combat wasn't simplified to such degree. Narrative focused gameplay shouldn't mean simple combat.
I love team Ninja for their identity ( the combat , the Challenges, level designs …..) . As i see in this review they were less focusing on combat and more on narratives , which most of players how bought team ninja’s games didn’t care about it. And i saw another review which said the open world is inspired from Ubi soft games, now i am really confused about it. I will buy the game later after i finish DD2.
Well they messed up then. The crazy combat was literally the only reason people were playing their games. That and their new game system which was way better than anything else. They worked 8 years to give us a mediocre sekiro and ghost clone.
I ignored the bad reviews and it’s one of the best games I’ve played. I especially love the voice acting. It’s raw and just sounds right. Bad English, raw, and just super unique. I absolutely love it.
@@XxWolfxWaRioRxX review scores are not too important to me. Its more how the game feels and if it engages me in itself. I’ve recently let go of review scores. For example I played Scars Above recently and its my first 100% achievements, but more than that, the game kept me engaged all the way till the end. I was very amazed. 🔥
@@adamantiumreaver4283 Dragons Dogma is basically just the first game with more content, the enemy variety is bad and the performance is awful so not sure why you think DD2 is so good
That's why is one of the few reviewers I still respect. Your arguments make sense, you are a true gamer, independent and believe your words can make a difference on your viewers. Thanks for being honest with us. Keep up the good job. I will be playing this after FF7 Rebirth.
I spend over 40h only in the 1st area ( Yokohama) just because I like to complete all challenges before moving on. I really like the combination of Open world exploration, combat with different weapons and Allies/Bond system. My only issue ( for now) with the game is the empty open world - it's huge, it's great, it has a lot of villages and forest but very few enemies to fight. I would love to fight groups of bandits more often between villages. I highly recommend the game. It's worth it even on full price.
I'll be playing this for the open world pre-Meiji / Meiji Japan. I live here and I've always wanted to explore the old cities of Tokyo and Yokohama like how I see them in vintage pictures. And the bakumatsu / bakufu story is always interesting (and relatively unexplored setting in RPGs)
I was on the fence. But now I’m sold, personally overall I like what I’m seeing in terms of gameplay. My only real issue is the graphics IN CERTAIN AREAS (not literal areas to be clear)
This game started to grow on me. Love exploring and striking down bandits and other type of higher ranking rogue samurais. You can even pick a fight with other Ronins who are not outlaws therefore if u kill them u may give rise to your wanted level
@BooBooDaFoo330 No, it isn't. If you think that you have terrible standards for what games should be. An example of how lazy dragons dogma is would be that you don't even need to touch the giant for it to die, lmao. Lazy developers.
Okay, so the game didn't deliver enough for the 80£. However, i like how Fextra is still trying to make some good points about the game. Yet, a game that doesn't deliver on a market standard should not cost more than the market standard .
Good point. It may not be as bad as some people try to make it out to be but idk why people think it's worth the same asking price as games we consider masterpieces
Streamers and youtubers should only make good points about a game if it makes sense to. A purely subjective, biased opinion. Not to just simply gush over a game everyone else is doing the same with, for clicks
I love this style of game. For once I will ignore the reviews and give it a go. I think it may be more up my street than it was for most reviewers. Can't wait!.
I loved Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty so hoping I enjoy this just as much. Ridiculous that it's releasing same day as DD2 though. Who thought that was a good idea?!??
I put 20 hours into this game over the weekend and i did not expect to do that at all. Its a great game, its the combat/upgrades that kept me playing. It's so easy to complete things and the combat system is wild. It does require a lot of skill though, the game on Normal is easy enough to progress but holy smokes i am constantly getting my ass handed to me. Its so satisfying though when you do dominate against enemies.
Its funny. I was so hyped for DD2, but the more I watch and hear about it, the less I like it, especially with 30fps and no horse or travel options. The opposite for Rise of the Ronin where It didn't catch my eye until I watched gameplay and loved it more and more. GoT may be more beautiful, but the combat, glider, gun, grappling hook, and weapon/skill building in this looks exciting!
I watched fighting cowboys review as well, and he pointed out quite a bit of things as well. That's what's makes games so great is their subjectivity. Personally, I had the opposite effect where RotR was strongly the gane I was going to get and keeping an eye on DD2. After checking everything out I'm liking DD2 a lot more, and man, I just can't get over the horse animation in this game, lol. It's silly, I know but man
This is a big win for me, looks really fun. People complain too much about everything nowadays I’m just glad we have another samurai based game on PS5.
This game is so much better than I thought. I was so excited for DD2 because of all the hype, but Ronin is grest from the start and im so glad I researched both first.
Just beat it after putting 100+ hours on it and while it starts off a bit slow, i absolutely loved it. The combat gets real addicting once you start unlocking different styles and weapons. And theres a bunch of side missions you can do depending on the bonds you make.
Man I was picking either this or dragons dogma up day 1 and it's getting real hard to choose as I love the first Dragons Dogma while loving Team Ninja's gameplay design since playing Ninja Gaiden Black when I was younger. Guess I'm gonna flip a coin
Sounds like either one will be a hit with you regardless. My only issue is that dragons dogma looks like it’s almost the exact same as the first one, just with better graphics. I want to play it but personally I’m leaving toward ronin first.
I was in the same boat. I chose DD2 based on what I saw in Fextra and Fighting Cowboys reviews. The tie breaker for me was the horse animation in this game and the literal checklist of open world things to do, whereas I enjoy the freedom and no hand holding of DD2. Did I mention the horse animation?
Pulled the trigger today and while i gotta get used to countersparking consistently, the combat is fun as hell and im happy to have more open world samurai shenanigans.
If you liked Nioh and Ghost of Tsushima, this is a no-brainer. And if you felt like Nioh was too hard, well this game has a difficulty setting, win-win for everyone !
I just wish this game could swap graphics with AC Shadows. This is one of the best samurai games ever to come out. It’s better than Ghost of Tsushima. So it deserves praise not hate. And ya just the graphics could be better!
Am I the only one absolutely shocked and kinda sickened by the narrative reviewers have painted of this game? Basically "Its not as good as GOT or Sekiro so bad" Uh.. so it not being as good as the people's GOTY and an actual GOTY means its not worth playing? This is kind of insane logic to me, this game looks really fun and deep actually and no one ever thought it was gonna be GOTY anyway.
It is so unfair for Ronin getting 7s from big critics. Every open world games have repetitive activities(except Outer Wilds, a truly 10/10). And none of them have combat that is close to Team Ninja. Side contents in Ronin aren't even forced on player to bloat game length.
I agree with a 7, definitely fell short of Wo long Fallen Dynasty. And whose idea was it to make us run around caressing cats? 😂 C’mon yo, this game isn’t a 10/10 or even a 9/10. I’m reminded of that every time I go to use the grapple hook to scale heights. Lol, looks so dumb. They should’ve taken inspiration from Seikiro for their animation of the grapple hook climbing.. and really? We use the Staminia bar just to use our flying kite? Cmon yo, they have already implemented gravity into the game. Let it do its job and leave Stamina bar alone, pretty ridiculously. Huge disappointment. Only thing it has going for it is the combat system. But it still doesn’t surpass the parry system in Wo Long by a long shot. Why make your other games so great, but then not take mechanics you used in them, to make an even greater game? What a big joke… Game looks like it never left 2015 at all… Them graphics are so sad.. I think some of yall are missing the point. The fact is that WE ALL KNOW that TeamNinja can give us better games than this.. We’re not hating on the game to just hate it Lol.
@@waterbreather9448you don’t know what you’re talking about. This game has so much to offer and you don’t even know what it is until you unlock it after the first main area… combat is wild. But it takes a lot of time to unlock things and it’s rewarding af
I like the ambition of Rise of Ronin. Seems like the games going to be a little underrated. You never mentioned in the review, but can your character climb buildings like in AC?
Yes, you can use grappling hook on the edges of the buildings and towers and than there are places on the roofs where you use grappling hookvwhich slings you into the hight to use the glider.
I want this game pretty much just to be a female samurai and because I heard there are kitties all around the map that you can pet for upgrades. Are there hints to where the kitties are? In Superman Returns, you can hear their meows when you're close to them, and then they have a glowing blue orb around them when they are in front of you. Does this game do something similar? I was wondering, how many missions can be completed with just stealth? You talking about stealth intrigued me. I've been wanting a good stealth game set in Japan since the last good Tenchu. Is this possibly what I'm looking for?
I just finished this one, spent 130 hours. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This game feels like a mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, Rurouni Kenshin and Forrest Gump. Your character(s) flow through the Bakumatsu era in a very engaging way, as you mention. My love for Japan has been rekindled by Rise of the Ronin.
90 hours in and only 62% done. This game is effing massive. I am seriously blown away at the amount of content this game has. The side missions are really good too. Easily my GOTY so far. Team Ninja really made something special, there are so many small details that help streamline the overall experience. Everything is so damn efficient once you wrap your head around the plethora of options you have at your disposal.
Just got this tonight as a gift. I had really wanted another historical-esque japanese open world game to sink my teeth into. Looks really fun and i hope its got a lot of content to play and a decent story/music
I was able to get this game for half off recently. Watching this review makes me very excited to delve into it I knew I wanted to play it but now I know I'm probably going to enjoy it.
I just picked up a PS5 having had a break in gaming. I absolutely love PS exclusives and have played PlayStation since the original came out. I also absolutely love Team Ninja games too, having played through all of them several times over. I bought this despite some poor journalistic reviews and have to admit, it’s a thing of beauty. Having a lot of fun and that is what gaming is about. I never noticed graphic quality, it just looks like a Team Ninja game :) Reviewers said the same about Wo Long and that game is brilliant too! Every time Team Ninja release something new, they generally take the best bits from previous games and take new chances on new ideas. That is something I give them a lot of respect for! Great video! You’ve earned a sub!
Gaming discourse is so interesting. I think most people don't see this game as ''bad'', but rather, ''bad in relation to the price point''. So, it might atm get some undue criticism - whereas, a few months or even weeks down the line if/when a sale happens, it'll likely be looked at more favorably. I'll be honest, this game looks to be checking a lot of boxes for me. You can tell it's no master piece, but there's something there for those that enjoy open world romps. A 'Team Ninja open world' is appealing so even if it doesn't quite land, I'm actually pretty excited to check it out when it does go on sale. I suppose as a gamer, I never really cared about getting in the door day 1. What a game initially costs is barely ever a factor of how I'd judge it - and ultimately, time always washes away the cost to quality ratio debate (unless you're Nintendo). Watched a few reviews and while I'd rather pick up Dragon's Dogma 2 over this if I had to pick, personally, I'm just gonna wait for a sale and experience it whenever that happens.
Lol. Its the only game where you can RP Afro Samurai/Yasuke. That alone brings my score to a 5. Combat takes some getting used to but if you turn off the HUD and tweak the lock on system... Pretty fun and solid, once you get used to it.
I was going to get it mainly because of coop, but I wasn't expecting them to go with one of the worst cooperative play options out there. Just let me do the whole story and free roam with my buddy.
Honestly been really skeptical about this game, from the wonky horse animation to the weird lack of bullet recoil for guns, but I'll need something to keep me occupied until the elden ring dlc!
For me, I only play a team ninja game for crazy deep and difficult combat with tons of combo options etc. So I’m disappointed but I guess they weren’t making it for people like me but people like me are their base so don’t bite the hand that feeds you
I'm stil deeply invested in Unicorn Overlord and had to choose between DD2 and Rise of the Ronin. I choose the first but wil be picking this up a bit later down the road. Thank you for the not so bitter review. Your one of the few tbh. Lots of hate for this game..
It's a difference in expectations people wanting Tsushima 2 will be disappointed. People like me aware of Team Ninja's past titles and style I suppose will more than likely enjoy the game.
Does my character actually talk or is he still mute?? It’s not a deal breaker atm the moment but will be for future titles? Having William talking was a strong point imo, having Hide being mute was weak. 😅
Would you say the combat keeps up with the playthrough length? I'm a little concerned with the idea that normal enemies have too much health turning it into Assassins creed slog. Even Ghost of Tsushima sometimes felt like that depending on the difficulty setting.
If you can master the counterspark, the combat would be pretty fast. If you miss it often, you might be more compelled to do stealth kills after a while
Exactly correct sekiro’s graphics still look really good to me and the icing on the cake is that due to sekiro not having crazy graphics it is buttery smooth in the framerate department
Well, there's a difference between graphics and art design, and I think that's probably what people are referring to. Sekiro has superb art design because it's from soft and they know what to do
Koei is well known for abandoning its strength in its pursuit of making each of their new game worse than the previous ones. Wolong drastically dumbed down the amazing combat of Nioh 2 and turned it into a braindead deflect mess, and this game in turn completely gave up on the one of the very few redeeming qualities of Wolong, the great character creator (can't play as a woman). And it is mindblowing how they managed to make the graphics look even worse than Wolong when that one already looks outdated for a PS4 title. Such a good news to hear the combat, pretty much the only thing you could look forward to in a TN game, ended up being disappointing as well. I can safely and completely forget about the existence of this utter mediocrity and go enjoy DD2 and HFW on PC instead.
Its funny, most reviewers say the story isnt that great but the combat is awesome but you have the opposite perspective. Me personally, i love the combat, the story is decent but ths characters are keeping me engaged. Im loyal to the eccentric ronin
Everyone’s trashing on the combat because it’s not like Niob. Except I loved Wo Long because it’s different from Nioh 😂 As long as this game is anything like Wo Long which it does look like I’d love to try it
I loved this game. Maybe not as good as GoT but I had every bit as much fun playing it, maybe more at times. Honestly I feel you’re missing out if you chalk this up to an Ubisoft knock off, might as well consider the Witcher 3 like that if you’re part of the hive mind. Only complaint was the story was disjointed at best, nonsensical at worse. It’s a bit baffling really, I feel you and your blade twin should have both been playable characters. One fights for shogunate and the other against. Then at the end you could make your choice. Or something along those lines (I realize your blade twin is pretty much on their own side). Instead you play both sides, beating up named characters one minute, fighting with them the next. They really take forgive and forget to the next level. Regardless I’d give this game 8/10 easy.
Sounds like everything I loved about Ghost of Tsushima (the setting), Nioh 2, and Sekiro (the fast paced, parry-based arcade combat) in one package. Definitely going to be picking this up soon.
It's reviews like this the reason why I didn't take FightinCowboy's review serious. Granted no review was going to change my mind about getting the game, I still would rather listen to a review like this than Cowboy straight up trashing the game from start to finish.
@@t3chfx13 !st off, we're not friends so don't make that mistake of calling me that again. 2nd, again, I'd rather listen to a review like this where they point out the good and bad of the game than to listen to a review where they point everything wrong with the game and mentions nothing good about it like Cowboy.
Honestly, I’ve noticed this for a while. If a platform releases an exclusive near a hyped multiplat. They will downplay it every time. It’s a weird crusade. Excluding Nintendo, PS and Xbox when they release get critiqued to death for the same thing they gloss over, but a game could literally drop frames in the teens and people just nod and smile. Don’t believe me, go check. It never fails. They couldn’t give below a 7 because it’s a good game so they give it the minimum they can and keep it pushing. Once BG3 hit, everything got shit for the next month. Until Alan wake 2 and even that got a few scores knocking it down.
Content is always that matters ! As long as I get a good amount of playtime I'm okay with it. Will spend a whole month playing this and than buy DD2 post understanding the performance on console. If its a constant 30 fps I will buy it. But from what I heard, there are huge frame drops during battles which I wouldnt like. Lets hope for the best. I am actually rooting for DD2 PERFORMANCE. Gonna spend time on these 2 games until June and then get back to my baby elden ring 😁
This game doesn't feel like it was in development for 7 years. More like 6 years of planning and 1 year of development. With nioh 2 team ninja raised a bar for themselves. Yet they failed again.
Those haters probably never tried Team Ninja games or suck with its difficulty and are just all aboit graphics and easy to beat games. Team Ninja offers one of the best combat mechanics when it comes to games.
it’s a shame we have yet to hit the highs of combat; since Nioh 2, but I will definitely try to pick this one up down the line. It at least looks like it plays a lot better than Wo Long, and I will probably be more interested in the story in this over Stranger of Paradise.

Shogun is such a great show! Episode 7 really got things kicking off!
@@petershahan533gotta love them for putting emphasis on narrative…and then delivering dead-faced NPCs
Complex doesn't equate to hard. This is a clear step down from their previous games when it comes to the combat.
All you had to say was this is made by Team Ninja and I am sold.
Oh, cool...me, too I can stop scrolling the comments now. I'm literally playing the ninja guidan games again these days.
Some of my favorite games have scored 7 & 8 so I’m very excited to check this out after Rebirth
I ignored the bad reviews and it’s one of the best games I’ve played. I especially love the voice acting. It’s raw and just sounds right. Bad English, raw, and just super unique. I absolutely love it.
making me want to buy it 😭
Same
Great review man, good stuff, you can tell it you really played the game and were thoughtful about what yous aid.
Gonna assume this is sarcastic
Well spoken on both this and Dragons Dogma 2, Im going to play both and probably start with DD2,
Ronin is a buy when it drops to 40.00 definitely DD2 on release
@@adamantiumreaver4283And yet they both have the same review scores :)
@@adamantiumreaver4283 Dragons Dogma is basically just the first game with more content, the enemy variety is bad and the performance is awful so not sure why you think DD2 is so good
@@adamantiumreaver4283 Scars Above was definitely a solid game
This is like the Way Of The Samurai game I've always wanted.
This is what I wanted to hear
I was on the fence. But now I’m sold, personally overall I like what I’m seeing in terms of gameplay. My only real issue is the graphics IN CERTAIN AREAS (not literal areas to be clear)
This game started to grow on me. Love exploring and striking down bandits and other type of higher ranking rogue samurais. You can even pick a fight with other Ronins who are not outlaws therefore if u kill them u may give rise to your wanted level
Again I say it, only reviewer I look forward too. Follow your game guides as well to make me powerful! Keep it up Fextra! A+ content.
Wait, Date san is in the game?! 1:54
LOL
He tried to time travel to Ishin's world but got lost and ended up in ROTR
😮
Looks awesome especially after the DD2 performance issues I'll get this first then that after its hopefully fixed
Same. That 30fps or lower put me off
Eh performance, story, enemy variety there's plenty of reasons to avoid dragons dogma
@@HumanTank12 um no, DD2 is excellent. Don’t spread nonsense
Absolutely special and amazing
@BooBooDaFoo330 No, it isn't. If you think that you have terrible standards for what games should be. An example of how lazy dragons dogma is would be that you don't even need to touch the giant for it to die, lmao. Lazy developers.
Okay, so the game didn't deliver enough for the 80£.
However, i like how Fextra is still trying to make some good points about the game.
Yet, a game that doesn't deliver on a market standard should not cost more than the market standard .
Don’t listen to the haters - spend your $70 on subpar gaming.
Maybe there is something to the “hate”. Maybe that word gets abused.
Good point. It may not be as bad as some people try to make it out to be but idk why people think it's worth the same asking price as games we consider masterpieces
ff7 rebirth
Exactly, I don't understand this review.
"It's good but it's bad", ok, lol.
What do you think of it now?
I loved Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty so hoping I enjoy this just as much. Ridiculous that it's releasing same day as DD2 though. Who thought that was a good idea?!??
Yea cant afford both so ronin gonna have to wait :/
Wo long was free on Xbox
After the added mtx and features behind a paywall in DD2, im picking this up.
@@duckbit9657There is no paywall, but go off I guess.
@duckbit9657 Yeah I'm getting DD2 when it's at least half off.
Opening bad guy is Matthew Perry? Why couldn’t we just be FRIENDS.
I see what you did there

Booooo
That joke killed him twice
So no one told you life was going to be this way
Pivooott! Away from this comment! 😂
GoT may be more beautiful, but the combat, glider, gun, grappling hook, and weapon/skill building in this looks exciting!
yea same, just from the game play ronin looks a lot more exciting.
It's silly, I know but man
little skyrim baby filtered by no fast twavel ;^(
@@BenDover91187playing rotr and in rl horse animation feels ok
You don't need fast travel, the game world isn't massive and as soon as you leave the first major city for the story you're 80% completed lmao
This is a big win for me, looks really fun. People complain too much about everything nowadays I’m just glad we have another samurai based game on PS5.
I agree. Im excited to play it. So many people will just attack me because I like it. Some people aren't happy unless everyone else is unhappy too
This game is so much better than I thought.
There are streams for both available soon so you can try live gameplay as well
Sounds like either one will be a hit with you regardless.
I'm a daredevil I choose both 😅
Pulled the trigger today and while i gotta get used to countersparking consistently, the combat is fun as hell and im happy to have more open world samurai shenanigans.
Better than I expected but just makes me want Nioh 3 😭. Think I’ll wait for a price drop before grabbing this.
Nioh 3 would be insane.
Am I the only one absolutely shocked and kinda sickened by the narrative reviewers have painted of this game?
Basically "Its not as good as GOT or Sekiro so bad"
Uh.. so it not being as good as the people's GOTY and an actual GOTY means its not worth playing? This is kind of insane logic to me, this game looks really fun and deep actually and no one ever thought it was gonna be GOTY anyway.
It is so unfair for Ronin getting 7s from big critics. Every open world games have repetitive activities(except Outer Wilds, a truly 10/10). And none of them have combat that is close to Team Ninja. Side contents in Ronin aren't even forced on player to bloat game length.
Not every open world
elden ring doesnt have anything repetitive
@@blkstr301 Elden Ring literally reuses bosses all the time. What about 14 obelisks? 6 divine towers? caves, dungeons and ruins?
Yes I believe u can climb buildings yes.
With the grappling hook i guess...tomorrow well find out
They can, but its limited to vaulting on roofs + grapple hook
It is pretty oblivious that whoever played this game created his character inspired by Nioh 1 main character.
i think that character is a preset in the character creation. Same w/Ryu Hayabusa (who i’ll be playing as lol)
@@tlungu962 One of these days will get a Ninja Gaiden. I just want a remake or remaster on PC :(
Hot take from a non gamer: I think Ghost of Tsushima, Seirko and Nioh don’t look as cool/fun as this game… they really should stop comparing them
Such a great video!
The saber stance with the stance hopping around is literally the dude from ninja gaiden 😂🤦🏽 that’s actually dope
Just got this tonight as a gift. I had really wanted another historical-esque japanese open world game to sink my teeth into. Looks really fun and i hope its got a lot of content to play and a decent story/music
THANK YOU for such a detailed description on all parts of the game! Solidified the pre-order over DD2 lol

You can make him
Unfortunately Kenshin is a fictional character though he is based of other Battousai like Okada Izo who you do meet.
I was able to get this game for half off recently. Watching this review makes me very excited to delve into it I knew I wanted to play it but now I know I'm probably going to enjoy it.
Cannot wait to boot this up after work today.
I’m so close to purchasing this game it’s in my cart! Lol
Did you regret it?
@@biddlybongwong na I've really enjoyed it actually. 22 hrs in
I just picked up a PS5 having had a break in gaming.
Mechanically speaking the combat is very much on the same level of their previous titles, maybe even slightly better.
Incredibly nuanced and refined
I’ve never really cared much about graphics, but I can’t get past how old this game looks
It looks TERRIBLE!
Lol. Its the only game where you can RP Afro Samurai/Yasuke. That alone brings my score to a 5. Combat takes some getting used to but if you turn off the HUD and tweak the lock on system... Pretty fun and solid, once you get used to it.
I tried to RP Mugen and Jin, but my character creation skills are lacking :P
This game reminds me of "The Way of the Samuari". The problem is they released this the same week as Dragons Dogma 2
The problem turned out to be that Dragon's Dogma 2 released months before it should have. That's a bargain bin sale now for when it's patched.
I was going to get it mainly because of coop, but I wasn't expecting them to go with one of the worst cooperative play options out there.
Just let me do the whole story and free roam with my buddy.
Honestly been really skeptical about this game, from the wonky horse animation to the weird lack of bullet recoil for guns, but I'll need something to keep me occupied until the elden ring dlc!
might be better to go dragons dogma 2?

So I’m disappointed but I guess they weren’t making it for people like me but people like me are their base so don’t bite the hand that feeds you
Really Nice overview of the game. Thank you very much for the video
This looks like a crazy amount of fun. Thank you for your review :)
This game will be a hidden gem like Nioh 1&2 were.
Thanks for an honest review, I will give it a try tomorrow!😊
Thanks for clearing up things after the unfair negative reviews. Might pick this up, plus games about ancient Asian culture are pretty cool.
All I know is this game is underrated as hell, I guess that's common with teamninja games lol but it's really, really good.
I'm stil deeply invested in Unicorn Overlord and had to choose between DD2 and Rise of the Ronin. I choose the first but wil be picking this up a bit later down the road. Thank you for the not so bitter review. Your one of the few tbh. Lots of hate for this game..
What a great, comprehensive review - subbed
It's a difference in expectations people wanting Tsushima 2 will be disappointed. People like me aware of Team Ninja's past titles and style I suppose will more than likely enjoy the game.
Does my character actually talk or is he still mute?? It’s not a deal breaker atm the moment but will be for future titles? Having William talking was a strong point imo, having Hide being mute was weak. 😅
I gonna buy this game sometime next week or after that I like how the combat is an the graphics ain’t that bad
If you miss it often, you might be more compelled to do stealth kills after a while
Way of the Samurai 5???
Exactly how I'm treating it haha 🤝🏾🥋
Nobody complained about sekiros graphics and they are roughly the same. Still a great game imo
TN always seems to bring out trolls
Exactly correct sekiro’s graphics still look really good to me and the icing on the cake is that due to sekiro not having crazy graphics it is buttery smooth in the framerate department
Well, there's a difference between graphics and art design, and I think that's probably what people are referring to. Sekiro has superb art design because it's from soft and they know what to do
I’m gonna get it this weekend and immerse myself in its intriguing environment and lore. Let’s go!
A PS5 exclusive and released on the same day as Dragons Dogma 2 is gonna hurt this game sadly
Yeah they should have released it earlier.
100%
Well stated.
Its funny, most reviewers say the story isnt that great but the combat is awesome but you have the opposite perspective. Me personally, i love the combat, the story is decent but ths characters are keeping me engaged. Im loyal to the eccentric ronin
Great review. Looking forward to playing this!
Everyone’s trashing on the combat because it’s not like Niob. Except I loved Wo Long because it’s different from Nioh 😂
As long as this game is anything like Wo Long which it does look like I’d love to try it
Wo long is trash at everything besides combat
Which is fine
Same. I liked Wo Long way more than Nioh. I appreciated the streamlined combat system.
If you play with the Japanese voices, the person who does the blue demon voice also does the voice for owl father in Sekiro
Already pre-ordered regardless of what people say
I like how the graphics were never an issue in from software games ...
It's reviews like this the reason why I didn't take FightinCowboy's review serious. Granted no review was going to change my mind about getting the game, I still would rather listen to a review like this than Cowboy straight up trashing the game from start to finish.
So one review overshadowed the take that most reviewers have....that's called hopium my friend
@@t3chfx13 !st off, we're not friends so don't make that mistake of calling me that again. 2nd, again, I'd rather listen to a review like this where they point out the good and bad of the game than to listen to a review where they point everything wrong with the game and mentions nothing good about it like Cowboy.
@jmcgee39 facts. Some people just need others to be as negative and miserable as they are
I was really hoping it was a joke or something. But cowboy absolutely hated this game. Lol.
Since I'm passing on Dragons dogma despite my excitement for it, I think this will fill the void quite nicely.
perfect i have 3 weeks off for spring break
This game doesn't feel like it was in development for 7 years. More like 6 years of planning and 1 year of development. With nioh 2 team ninja raised a bar for themselves. Yet they failed again.
Great review 👏
Excelent review. I'll wait for a price drop but definitely I'll gonna buy it.
Those haters probably never tried Team Ninja games or suck with its difficulty and are just all aboit graphics and easy to beat games. Team Ninja offers one of the best combat mechanics when it comes to games.
But they're suck at making level design or world building
it’s a shame we have yet to hit the highs of combat; since Nioh 2, but I will definitely try to pick this one up down the line. It at least looks like it plays a lot better than Wo Long, and I will probably be more interested in the story in this over Stranger of Paradise.
Looks and feels good… I already preordered, not going to wait for sale…
4:13 as a cat lover this game is an instant 10/10 just for that, the only thing it's missing is a black samurai. 😂 (Ubisoft slander)
