As a former EMT, I have dealt with those suffering from asthma. And this man was not in ANY jeopardy at that time. You can't scream, resist and fight when you're having an attack. It doesn't happen.
As having asthma many times in my life, needing a nebuliser etc, no way on gods earth is he an asthmatic, how he ran up those stairs and around the building, he's fine, still makes a change from hearing people scream at the top of their lungs " I can't breathe" 😉
As a man who suffered asthma my whole life, I will tell you that having an asthma attack is the most painful panic feeling ever. AND you can't yell or talk much because you're whole abdomen heaves in and out due to labored breathing and you can hear the wheezing with each breath. This man's a baby and a liar.
I’m a lifelong asthmatic, and you’re not being accurate. Asthma simply starts with a tightness in your lungs and not as deep of breaths. It normally doesn’t get super bad right off the bat. It isn’t like an anaphylactic allergic reaction (from eating shellfish/peanuts, etc), for example, which _IS_ immediate.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 As another asthmatic whose brother has severe asthma, I think the exact presentation of asthma differs from person to person, and sometimes even the same person in different situations. My own asthma is normally more like what you describe; I recently had a bad flare up which ramped up gradually over the course of a few days (secondary to a respiratory infection) and it got so awful that they put me on prednisone for a week as well as a steroidal inhaler. But remember, there are subtypes of asthma. My brother's asthma is considered "potentially / near fatal asthma" (PFA) which is the worst kind, much worse than mine. He has been hospitalized multiple times in his life and was once put in intensive case, into a medically induced coma and on a ventilator for over a day to "let his muscles rest". His girlfriend at the time (now his wife) found him barely concious and struggling to breathe, with deep gasping breaths, and unable to speak in full sentences. If she didn't have a gut feeling something was wrong when he didn't answer his phone and didn't stop at his house to check on him, he would have certainly died. The severe heaving of the abdomen the first comment describes is actually called tracheal tugging and can be indicative of a more severe subtype of asthma like my brother's. Tldr; it seems both of you are describing types of asthma. And if you do ever experience something like the first comment, don't try to tough it out, go to the hospital asap.
Your asthma sounds a lot like my brother's and he has the most severe subtype of asthma (potentially / near fatal asthma). If your primary care doctor is the one managing it and you still get attacks this severe, you should definitely see a pulmonologist before a pulmonologist comes to see you (in the hospital). 😵 Not everyone realizes asthma this serious exists, and men in their 20s-30s are at the highest risk of dying from it. My brother didn't take his asthma seriously enough until he ended up in the ICU on a ventilator.

The "weapon" that fell out of the suspect's pocket was a center-punch, a spring-loaded tool used in metal working. They're also quite good at shattering tempered glass & are used by thieves to break car windows.

I’m a nurse manager in a hospital and this behavior is almost daily in our emergency department. Some of it is psych related but most of it is just bad behavior. Some of our nurses have had concussions, stitches, PTSD, broken bones from patients. Most are upset because they waited too long to be seen or the MD will not prescribe the meds they want. Our staff have almost given up filing charges, which are suppose to be felonies, because the patient goes to jail and the charges end up getting dropped. I am not sure who the people think will take care of them in the future because lots of nurses are leaving and the nursing shortage is growing. My job is to deal with these incidents and I’m over people too. I love being a nurse but not a punching bag or victim of verbal abuse. 😢
I feel like as a medical professional you should know ppl who act this way have deeper pathologies than just bad behavior. To inflict danger or pain on another signals a lifetime of undiagnosed circumstance. ❤Terrible for everyone involved. Real bad.
@Myjebw6119 I know. You're so right! My son and Daughter-in-law are both Paramedics. They're the first ones who have to deal with the crappy behavior first. One patient kept pointing his fingers at my son screaming, "You ------, if I had my g-n I'd sh--t you right now. In the meantime, my son's trying to save the man's life! And did! Getting threatened in that manner, while administering life saving procedures, is stressful. One time, after getting a patient out of the ambulance, as soon as he got inside the hospital, a drive-by sh--ting happened, right where the ambulance 🚑 was sitting! Life has gotten overwhelmingly crazy! 🤦♀️
“Suspect is currently facing felony charges for an unrelated incident and due to his likelihood to act out, we will be covering him more in the future” 😂😂😂
One of the reasons I walked away from nursing after 30 years was because of the way patients and their family members treated nurses. I worked critical care and I worked many 12 hour shifts without any breaks, or meals or bathroom breaks because I put my patients’ needs first. I treated patients and family with dignity and respect and for the first 20 years that dignity and respect was returned to me. The last 10 years or so I felt like a whipped horse most days. The patients were much sicker and required more intensive treatment. Families were rude and confrontational and dealing with them took time away from the patients that needed care. Confused patients hitting and spitting and kicking were understandable but when they are mentally stable and think it’s ok to treat us like that it’s very hurtful. I remember a patient drawing back his fist at me one day and I told him if he hits me my attorney would be contacting him. He looked absolutely dumbfounded as if he had every right to hit a nurse. I left my profession that I loved and was very good at and I don’t regret it.
Yes I couldn’t agree more. I was a critical care nurse for 40 years. I get a kick out of teachers making videos about leaving their profession due to lack of discipline and respect but to me it seems to be rampant across all professions especially nursing.

This is the EXACT problem with our legal system today. There is NO good reason to reduce or drop ANY of the charges on this guy. All that does is let him know he can get away with this kind of bullshit in the future. The DA or Prosecutor that reduced/dropped his charges should be held liable for any crimes this guy commits in the future. I agree, but if that doesn't mean he isn't having problems breathing. I get it, proper English says "I can't" usually means not at all. However in a bad situation, proper English is not always easy. What's worse is they dangle the life saving inhaler right in front of him like a carrot to a horse. Inhumane, at the very least. It was known to ALL parties that he was seeking medical help. Not knowing just what kind of help he needed means these PIGS have no respect for life, based on the way they handled it. The guy DID need to be removed, but the PIGS shit all over his rights in doing so. It could have gone, "If you don't cooperate, I will place you under arrest." Then if he does not comply, taser time. Tasering the suspect would have put him down where he stood. Pig did not say he was under arrest, and that is how FLPD works. They don't tell you what they want, or why they are there. They just shit on rights until you react so they can put the silver bracelets on you, and get that promotion they always wanted. If he would have done his job he would not have needed to play ring around the rosy with the PD all over the entire building putting EVERYONE in there at risk of injury. In the video you see the cop fall several time in his pursuit. What if he were to fall on an elderly person? Broken hip, broken legs, or even a concussion would ruin whatever is left of their lives. Usually, the people judging the officers are not, nor have they ever been in enforcement situations. Just for a moment, try to imagine the emotional roller coaster that first officer went through. He first encountered a highly agitated individual who was reported to have threatened to shoot people. The guy then refused to comply with the officers directives and then fled. This cop then has to chase the potentially armed guy around a medical facility while all the time wondering if and when the guy is going to turn and open fire on him. When he finally catches up with the guy he has to grapple with him still not sure if the guy has a gun. My heart rate rose just watching the video. So after he cop goes through all this, we expect him to address the guy like an usher at Sunday service.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 at the end of the day the dude is still acting like a little girl

I’m a nurse manager in a hospital and this behavior is almost daily in our emergency department. Some of it is psych related but most of it is just bad behavior.

To make it fair, add up the prison time of all the original charges maximum sentences and that will be the time that the DA/Prosecutor can be held liable for his further crimes.
@billclisham8668 Defendants are often overcharged as a negotiation tactic. His charges stem from interaction with the police. But all the police had to do was force him to leave, tell him he was no longer welcome there and that he would be arrested if he ever returned.

Oh I'm in England and could talk your ear off about first hand experiences with this sort of behaviour and that of our woke new legal system. All the videos on YT that show you the England most Americans are unaware exists are all age-restricted. You'd be HORRIFIED. When I filled you in with news stories and government website links you'd be rendered speechless, I guarantee it. The West is such a mess and I am confident in saying that we'll never be a "better people" here. If anything, things will get much worse. It's incredibly angering and deeply, deeply sad. @@tflg3257 That guy reacted the way he did when the officer just wanted to pat him down. There is no scenario where that guy would have voluntarily left and he certainly would have resisted if they tried to force him out. For someone who says he has asthma, and is yelling "I can't breathe!", he sure is doing a great job getting enough air in his lungs to talk, scream, and yell! He didn't shut up! I have asthma and when you can't breathe, you can't talk much, if at all!
Sure can run like the wind, too huh?
Even worse, could bring what little life is left to an end. Those pigs are lucky he did not hurt anyone else. For shame.

Ever since George Floyd these people think they can act however they want as long as the person in authority is white. Now we’re going to have to watch them act like this for the next 30 years.

Ok, folks. Retired LEO here. I'm just speaking from personal experience. This foul language thing is always an issue with civilian complaint review boards. I've seen cops after situations like this get the shakes from the adrenaline dump. These guys are not robots.
