  • Work well underway at the bridge end of the railway. You will see the finishing of the 'wild' scenery under the bridge and the first footage of the railway operating since the beginning of the year. The signals are not yet operating correctly - John has been working on this for many months and there is still a fair bit to do.

    I watched this a while ago, and just watched it again. Good to see you getting to grips with a 'new' layout. I really enjoyed your work on Deresley, which I think I discovered during the - uh - interruption. Beautiful work on that under-bridge scene.
    Are you going to have some sort of back scene beyond the bridge, I always wonder where those rivers go off to? The layout seems to be at eye-level - as Flanders and Swann put it, "without my having to bend down, the hot fat can squirt straight in my eye" - but perhaps the beautifully made girder bridges hide most of it? Ah, the camera shows us stuff the eye will never see.

    Hi David, quick tip... your footage seems juddery this usually happens because of frame rate differences, e.g.: your camera is shooting at 30fps and your edit software is at 25fps or 24.9fps. Try experimenting with the frame rates to see which is smoothest for your next video before you start editing. 😁

    • @davidhyde4329
      @davidhyde4329  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Edward, yes I noticed that after I uploaded the video. I thought it might be connected to frame rates. I will follow your tip next time - many thanks 👍👍

    Great video david any particularly place this is modeled on.

    • @davidhyde4329
      @davidhyde4329  ปีที่แล้ว

      No specific place. I asked john and he modelled the layout somewhere in the north of England. He chose the fictitious name as it sounded 'northern' . The era is (loosely) the 1990's. 👍

      We don't get racoons in the UK😁. We get a few hobos though - good idea 😁👍

      Hi Chris. dismantled it and sold off what remained. Kept a few keepsakes though 👍

      What a shame, that was a beautiful piece of scenic work. would loved to have seen that continue. At least someone is benefiting out of it. Thanks David.
