Never underestimate a trucks airflow and the resulting disruptive effect that it has upon your motorbike, especially at speed. You passed 3 trucks in quick succession, got a little tank slapper going on, slammed on the skids at a dip in the road and then cleaned up the car of some little old lady. Good job! Thanks for the video, anyway. We've learnt a lot.
@Hani110 How can you tell his front wheel fucked up? Looks perfectly fine. If you mean the slight turning, that's the rear wheel kicking out as it hovers loosely over the ground. He fucked up by not properly anticipating the car's escape route and being unable to correct it. If he were good at riding, he would have known that cars do stupid shit and there was no shoulder to go on. When GR goes around cars on the shoulder, there's an actual paved shoulder. Not wet grass.
If you'd payed a little closer attention you might have noticed he'd already lost traction and therefore control. It's just crazy to drive that fast in the first place, but after about 3:20 I don't think it could have gone much differently. I don't know if the paint-stripe median was textured (theres a slight bump as he comes off it) or he mis-shifted or something but obviously he would have shot out around that car if he could have. Braking wasn't the plan. fin. lol /rant
whatever james.... been riding bikes for 12 years... how often you ridden the tt... ive privateered 3 times.. ive currently got a full race prep zx9r... anytime you fancy a go... it is a simple as i said... plenty of room to make a clean pass... he wasnt aware of his surroundings... and the speed of the vehicle he was approaching... hit the track or a closed road circuit.. he was lucky.. maybe next time he wont be... i dont have to film myself to get people talking...
i got a question, wasnt this wannabe ghost rider guy driving behind the real one? cus it seemed the real one was setting the example for this guy while he was flying way ahead of him. someone plz reply!
Wasn't a tank slapper. That was too much speed and not enough distance to brake. The wiggle at the handlebars was the rear getting light. A tank slapper is under acceleration.
Remember than in crashes there are two important numbers: energy and momentum: E = (1/2)mv^2 || p = mv A motorbike at 300 km/h (83 m/s) and 200 kg -> E = 693 889 J p = 16 660 kg m s-1 A car at 120 km/h (33.3 m/s) and 1300 kg-> E = 720 778.5 J p = 39 960 kg m s-1 I don't defend crazy bikers, but if we see energy and momentum, we should think about car weight and car speed versus bike weight and bike speed. Which is actually more dangerous?
I watched it again, he had it! He should have never pulled back in the middle of his lane and braked. He should have held his line and nailed it. He had plenty of room, watch closely before you say anything!
Hmm, after all these very tight and close dodges between the cars before, he colides with a car while having all the space he needs to dodge that one too? I mean, the video quality aint the best, but isnt there enough space on the left to pass? Nice video, thx for sharing :P
Well, a crash IS inevitable if you ride at those speeds. And if you think otherwise, then please tell me where I can find the graves of Ghostrider #1 and #2.
My grandpa had a saying. It went "If you keep your mouth closed, people won't be able to tell what you don't know" And if you knew shit about bikes. (wich you don't because you never rode one,) you'd know headshake starts out subtle and gradually increases. When he had an opening is when he started losing it. It just didn't show until it got bad
when you are going that speed, its not so easy to look around your surroundings so you pay attention to your front instead of your periphs (side to side) given that you must have super-human reaction time. there are so many factors that you need to take into accord when your riding that fast
Guys, he crashed because he was going too fast for that section. Bottom line, he made a mistake, the faster you go, the higher the price you pay. If you ride, you know what I mean, if you dont , you never will. Death lurks around every corner, you just never exactly know which one it is. It simply was not his time. Not luck, fate.
To be honest, If I was the car driver, I would pull to the right. To allow more room on the left. The car driver seen a speeding biker and allowed him more room, this was not the case! The biker thought he owned the road and tried to do him on the right.... Although I understand the library comparison. Nice Vid mate :D
I had the feeling that it was juno reactor and it was from the matrix soundtrack. i have the matrix reloaded soundtrack cd and i checked and it was not from there and i became confuse. Thank you!
that's for sure... a ducati 999 costs around 20.000 dollars... a brand new gsx-r 1000 yoshimura / honda cbr100rr / yamaha r1 costs around 10.000 euros (somewhere between 12.000 and 15.000 dollars...)
For those that ride...It looks like what happened is that he was planning to pass the car he ran into on the left. But, if you look closely he was approaching the crest of a hill and a semi came over the top at the last second forcing him to not be able to pass and having to brake massively. He didn't lose control...just ran out of options. Too much speed to stop and nowhere to go...maybe a little target fixation too! That's the reality of going fast, no time to make good decisions-ends bad.
Fookin hell fella!! glad you're ok...but what the hell were you thinking!! not much by the looks of it, there was loads of room? why did you slot back in behind the car? why not stay wide? i didn't see any major traffic oncoming...oh well, expensive lesson!!
(get exp on driv, people slwo for no reason) u dont need brake lights to show dat ur slowing, how bout "not going faster" ? or manual cars? plus that rider shuldve made quick judgment and switch, i guess his addrenaline didnt kick in enough, or too much...
I saw the orginal on tv. The driver would pass the car on the right side, the driver frightend and steered to the right side. The biker could react so fast and crashted into the back of the car. The good part - he was nearly unhurt - he just broke himself 2 rips...
Lol, interesting vid. These guys have guts, but is it worth it in the end? I dunno, I guess I'm just not an adrenaline junkie... but I do enjoy watching xD good video
the explanation of this accident is simple: as the bike driver was on a big speed and saw the car in the middle of the road with enough space on the right so he tried do bypass that car on the right, to give this video more "insanity and action"... Apparently car driver spotted the bike coming from behind very fast and went right so the bike could pass him in normal way - this was the driver's error, he didnt realize bike was trying to pass him on the right...
Kawasaki(.)com (go to the "specs" page) Suzuki(.)com (go to the "specs" page) Compare the bike, do the math, and then you can look it up on wikipedia. And my bad on the %500 cheaper, it was supposed to be $500. And yes i know those bikes compete heavily on the track, but that doesn't change the fact that the Ninja is now faster. I DO hear, that the hayabusa does have better handling though. So still a good bike.
seen that coming a mile away the crash and the fact that he was going to crash. Theres a technique to braking at high speed including bliping the throttle and body positioning on the bike to avoid getting out of shape like this bloke.
Actually he didnt hesitate, he wanted to overtake that last car on the right side of it.. But just before he did the car moved to the right which made it impossible for him to go past... and as you see breaking didnt work eighter
Hahaha, well said. I was actually somewhat impressed by some of the moves therein (dodging the semi in between cars) but I can't agree with the style of riding. Ghostrider is cool, let him do his own thing. I wouldn't be surprised if he has already been replaced a few times.
i dont really see the reason for his crash there was enought space around him and the breaks on such a awesome bike are great, little blackout or something like that !!!the poor bike!!!
I disagree. Look at the vid when he inspects his bike - front wheel looks intact. I think this was simply too much front braking - locked up the front wheel. That would've destabilised the rear of the bike (because it wants to go faster than the front). From there, couldn't regain control - unlocked the front brakes too late whilst still under heavy breaking, so the bike went into a front wheel stand - flipping up. Very lucky to be alive.
the reason he lived is because the car he was hitting wasnt going at 0 km/h so the impact isnt 150 km/h, u have to minus the speed of the car from the speed of the car to get ur impact speed. still tho pretty lucky he survived
he lost control he landed on his frontwheel after airing a bit and that caused trembling in his steering he couldn't use the front breals otherwise he would've entered head first in that car so he manoeuvred to the left which led his ducati to shreds which is a shame I must agree but left him unscattered all and all a wise decision considering the way he was riding it could of been an awful lot worse
Jeez, insane skills on the bike man! That was probably the most insane fucking riding I've seen! Beats ghost-rider.. He only does double passes once in a while, but you PREFER them! Sorry about your loss!
At the speeds he was going, everybody on the road was going slow for him. It was a simple mistake and misunderstanding. He wanted to overtake the car from the right, the guy driving the car assumed he'd go on the left side so he moved right to give him space, and...You saw what happened.
ghost rider is not dead... He revealed himself apparently as the real GR. His name is Patrick (some last name here) and he is a ex superbike racer.... and there is a new video called Ghost rider back to basics...
There's no such thing as immitating Ghostrider. Only him can do such things. And if you look at that crash, you can see that he just choked behind the car. He could have made a quick left just to get in the middle of the highway like he did previously in the movie.
Okay, there are a few things you need to learn. The first one is to write. It can be difficult in the beginning, but don't give up. The second one is reading. Two pretty basic things that can be really useful. The description clearly says "wannabe Ghostrider", not "Ghostrider".
i think youre right. he might have done well to overtake but when a surprise comes your way, the natural reaction isnt always the best thing to do. it would be totally natural to try to rip km/h out of it instead of moving into a lane that might have something big and heavy in it. the world needs more racetracks =o)
Never underestimate a trucks airflow and the resulting disruptive effect that it has upon your motorbike, especially at speed. @videoman223 If you didint notice his bike started to wobble when he was deaccelerating.... I think that he brake too hard or something.
the music is "Masters of Universe" by Juno Reactor
Where did they fixed the Camera?I want a camera in my cockpit too ,but i dont hace a place in my Yamaha YZF 125-R
What kind of camera is that? It didn't even dice up on impact.
whats the name of the song?
respect to the driver to! a week ago i had a crash with my Simson S51 at 75 kmh and i broke my right arm!
Why didn't he just pass it? Mustn't of been paying much attention in those few seconds before the breaks
did you not see the movie where he showed the bike to a tv team? It was a read ducati.
Ist halt blöd gelaufen, aber mächtig Glück gehabt !! von wem ist der Song ?? passt perfekt :-)
If you'd payed a little closer attention you might have noticed he'd already lost traction and therefore control. when he crashed the speedometer was showing 138km/h?

Nice Video!
Whats the name of this Song ?
I just want a tip where i can fix a camera on my bike.the YZF 125-R is so streamlined ,that there are not much chances to fix a cam.
great music!!!which are thy?the band i mean!!!
what is the name of the song? and the band?
does anybody know?
pls give me some input
From Ducati to Junk in 2 seconds flat. Great vid!
Legend! Thank you for posting the name of the song.

why didnt he swerve round? there was nothing to stop him from swerving?
and he did this video to show other bikers the fatal causes of speeding, nice one mate. you are a true biker.;)

¿como se llama la cancion que suena?
Is that guy alright after the crash?
This almost seemed intentional..? There were no on coming traffic, why did he not just pass the car instead of breaking? I don't get it..
that's for sure... a ducati 999 costs around 20.000 dollars... a brand new gsx-r 1000 yoshimura / honda cbr100rr / yamaha r1 costs around 10.000 euros (somewhere between 12.000 and 15.000 dollars...)

what's the name of the song from this clip?
Song is called:
Juno Reactor - Masters of the universe
;o)
Also I just thought I would also add that I do this on one way highways late at night with little to no traffic.
It wobbles when he hits the breaks first, he didn't even try to swerve around him just slam on the breaks.
a stoppie is.. like a wheelie only u do it whilst stopping and your rear tire comes up.. its a good way to slow down.. and break early
i love the song :D what's the name of it?
Fookin hell fella!! glad you're ok...but what the hell were you thinking!! not much by the looks of it, there was loads of room? why did you slot back in behind the car? why not stay wide? i didn't see any major traffic oncoming...oh well, expensive lesson!!
Whats the name of the first song plzzzzzzzzzzz
Thx
i really dont get this crash u could see that car from a mile away he started breaking when he was like 50foot from the car
The best part of the video starts in 1:45. Respect
(get exp on driv, people slwo for no reason) u dont need brake lights to show dat ur slowing, how bout "not going faster" ? or manual cars? plus that rider shuldve made quick judgment and switch, i guess his addrenaline didnt kick in enough, or too much...
he didnt even hit the car...pulled the front brake to hard and lost it
lol wait... he crashed? got the camera, got the footage and added music and an intro ??
I saw the orginal on tv. The driver would pass the car on the right side, the driver frightend and steered to the right side. The biker could react so fast and crashted into the back of the car.
The good part - he was nearly unhurt - he just broke himself 2 rips...
My god, you should be a detective. Incredible!
Why he break instead of keep runing??
can anyone please name the song used in this video.
Lol, interesting vid. These guys have guts, but is it worth it in the end?
I dunno, I guess I'm just not an adrenaline junkie... but I do enjoy watching xD
good video
dam! but this guy still got some major skill to ride like that ...Salute!

what are the odds man that the camera ended up facing him crossing the road after getting up.

I seriously doubt the car slowed down quickly considering no brakelights came on
Lol so he goest to the right while left is empty and he starts breaking wtf?
@hayaL8er you see if i would write properly i wouldn't make those silly spell /type mistakes but I really dont care:).
why did he us his front brake
how did he not see the car? could of been avoided

I Love This Song!
That crash looked really weird, it's like you faked it or something, but nice driving until you crashed hehe:D
man... i wonder how many machines and heads people are breaking to get footage like this...
whats the songs name???
