The Honda dealership charged me $170 in “diagnostic” fees to do this. Second time it happened I came here and this solution actually worked. Lesson learned; do it yourself. Thank you!

I can't believe that this actually worked 😂😂😂.... To make sure it works, make sure you have the windows down, just like in the video. Someone also mentioned it in the comments, and once i put all my windows down and repeated the process, it worked just lime before. I am forever grateful for your video

This mostly worked for me. The first time I tried it didn't work. I came back to watch the video again and saw that you had your front windows down so I put my windows down as well. I also did the procedure a bit faster and possibly that combination got it to work. My sunroof was moving during the whole procedure but it still reset just fine. Thanks for the help!

This was really helpful! In case anyone has a similar issue, I had to open and close my door between powering my car off, otherwise the window would try to tilt when holding the tilt button. This may be a bit different of an issue since the window was no longer stuck but instead incorrectly aligned on the track - but same result!
Was this in the design or just something somebody discovered as the way to fix this ? Gonna try it today...I was told it helps to run around the car backwards three times while holding your breath before doing this. Also, can I keep my shoes on while doing this ?
when i go to tilt my sunroof it opens but when i go to close it the sunroof goes back up. until i click it a few times it will close is there a reason why its doing this ? and once its closed the trim is like wedged or sticks out

Well, this didn’t work, but I just called Honda of Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA & was transferred to service. A really nice guy, Josh, walked me through how to do this in about one minute…for free.
Me again, I just tried this and got the window to tilt open but now it won't close ! I'll watch the video again and this time take my shoe off....and it's gonna rain today.
IT DOESN'T WORK! i know i had the same issue and to be honest i didn't find the video steps useful but it made me think that all i really need to do is open the sunroof to the maximum... hold down the tild to close button... then the ignition to power accessories... then turn key to off.... then hold the tilt again... then.... it closed properly... to be honest i don't even know what i was doing but it worked it kinda reset the mechanism... even if you can't understand this video... just keep trying the steps and having the sunroof fully open to begin with... look it's not rocket science... it's just a power cycle and reset... try 5-6 different ways and in the end it will work because there's only so many variations of these steps you can do
