Juntar a 3 de los mejores del género en su voz, con una actuación y una interpretación superlativo es un regalo. Una increíble Scotto, un soberbio Milnes y un.legendario Domingo .
For me, the best part starts from min 6:00. Oh, Lord, was I not created in your own image? Why does this man trample on me like mud? Save me. Help me. Do not abandon me.
This is so much better singing than in the current revival (2018). And, even this is not as wonderful as the 1968 revival with Caballe, Tucker and a younger Milnes.
And I'd be willing to bet you my life savings that, in 1979 when this LUISA MILLER was telecast, a group of opera "lovers" was sitting around listening to, say, the 1964 recording of LUISA MILLER with Moffo, Bergonzi, and MacNeil and saying, "The singing here is so much better than the singing in the current Met revival." In other words, it's invariably the case that "the best singing" already took place 15 or more years earlier than whenever one happens to be listening (eye roll).
On the other hand, I'd be willing to agree with you that Miller's music would have sounded so much better sung by an actual baritone than by 2018 Domingo.

Renata siempre grande
Wonderful music and singing.
Uno dei più bei concertati verdiani
Scotto and her great voice!
Milnes cañon baritonal
Bravi tutti.
Please-please-please also the other parts....thanks in advance !!
I love this ensemble! It's too little known, imo.
I saw this performance live on PBS in January 1979. The Met could tthen still assemble a generally worthy cast for a Verdi opera.

Milnes in fine form, before all the hooking and cover. Clearly still in great form. Who is the bass?
Bonaldo Giaiotti is the bass.

Nobody was ever better than Moffo, Bergonzi, MacNeil, Tozzi, Verrett, and Flagello in '64!
@@detectivefiction3701 The singing was better.
Say what one will, Scotto has magical presence !
