    what about: minor scrap, like bolts and screws. regular scrap, like the treasures from pikmin 2. and greater scrap, like ship parts, required to upgrade suits and ships. i think that could be a good system for this.

    Magnetic Pikmin could be used to create bridges. Imagine a chasm you can't get across, but there is a bolt of somekind sticking out of the wall on the other side. If you throw a ton of metallic pikmin at it, they can form a bridge using they're magnetic powers, kind of like how you can stack magnets together on a fridge. This will work a bit like how the Winged Pikmin gates work in Pikmin 3, where in order to get across, you HAVE to leave behind some pikmin. Just a thought.

      Another idea I have, which is a bit wacky, but what if magnetic pikmin can mess with stuff in the enviorment. Like, what if there is a paper clip, or bolt tied on a string over a hole too big to cross, and you need to get it since its scrap or something. (Assuming winged pikmin can't get across, or are even in the game to begin with,) you can throw a ton of magnetic pikmin to the side of the hole, and their combined magnetic power would be enough to pull the metal object on the string towards them, thus making it accesable to the player.

      These two ideas can even be combined for puzzles. Like, what if you have to create a large vertical bridge of megnetic pikmin, and with theur combined strangth be able to pull around metal blocks too heavy for normal pikmin, a bit like the cardbourd boxes in the other games. You can also have them dangaling downwards, diaganal, you can do alot with these mechanics is what I'm saying.

    WAIT A MINUTE!!! So in the pikmin shorts we're shown pikmin, if there's enough, can destroy man made vehicles, so maybe in pikmin four every area has one or two vehicles which you can send pikmin to work and take the scrap like bolts, screws, etc. Also it could just be a whole level itself that you can deconstruct into scrap! And magnetic pikmin could take faster routes to said screws and bolts by simply climbing or walking up the metal... And who said scrap's just metal? There could be scraps of cloth, food, toys, there's just too much potential!!! :D

    I would want for scrap to function as a side collectible, along side another collectible like treasure. I could see something where Olimar convinces the president to let him search for treasure again, but he also grabs the Koppaites from Pikmin 3 to help him search for Louie. Wanting to have as big a chance as possible to find Louie, they stay for nighttime too. Maybe they figure out that Louie only comes out during the night, so you try to stay in one area at night for as long as you can. Along the way you find scrap that has no value to the ship, but can be used for your base to help you survive the night. There would be a kind of farm you could grow to get the different Candypop buds which would be how you get white and purple Pikmin. You could also grow pellet posies and maybe even plants for food or treasure. Come to think of it, what if, as well as treasure (for 100% the game) and scrap (for upgrading your base and ship, you also had food which would grow and replenish every now and then, which you would need to stay alive. The two new pikmin would be metal, which would be unable to be eaten or crushed, but be killed by other hazards much faster than the other pikmin, and a light blue pikmin that glows, which would be one of your only sources of light at nighttime. Scrap would also be used for ship upgrades and base upgrades, such as walls to defend yourself from the creatures that lurk in the night and a beacon which would give you a higher chance of finding Louie at night, and strangely also attract dweebles. You would advance to a new area once you encountered Louie in your current one. You would have to chase him until he led you to the boss arena, which he would unlock. Once you beat the boss Louie would run off and you would have to choose where you want to look for him and set up a new base there. Each area you visit you would have to start you base over from scratch, with nothing but your ship and each other, and hope to find Louie again. Another thing scrap could be used for is little machines you could make and place in your base. These machines could do things like create nectar and ultra bitter and sour essences, maybe even without berries, just with time. Going with the berry theme, maybe you could grow these berries in your farm, giving you a reason you leave at least have a few pikmin at base while you’re exploring. I would also want another spray, maybe a green ultra-sweet spray which could heal your captains or a yellow ultra-sour spray which you could spray to make enemies run away and avoid you. Maps would be HUGE, big enough that you could make multiple mini- bases that had to be smaller but still had onions so pikmin could be made. However treasure would have to be taken to the main base. You would, however, be able to stop at mini bases so it could be safe from the creatures of the night. This game would take multitasking to a whole new level, increasing the maximum number of pikmin allowed on the field and spreading your captains around the map. At nighttime, to also motivate adventuring, certain bosses would spawn that contain treasure and scraps. Another thing that would only spawn at night would be Bulbmin. Bulbmin, like purples and whites, can’t be put in onions, so they must be moved around the map manually. Metal, glowing, rock, winged, red, yellow, and blue pikmin do have onions, and would be able to be pulled out wherever there’s an onion. This would nerf Bulbmin, purples, and whites to make them less OP. I will admit that the whites don’t need to be nerfed as badly as Bulbmin and purples, but I don’t know how else to do it. Caves wouldn’t make a return in this game because it would disrupt the flow of gameplay. Scrap could also be used upgrade your onions, increasing the number of pikmin they produce. Amiibo functionality would be limited, only giving you little trophies if you scan the pikmin amiibos that would serve no purpose other then to look nice. Scrap could be used for purely esoteric purposes as well. You could place things like maps on the walls and the stuff you see around the room in the first pikmin short film.the game would end once you’ve found Louie in the 4 different areas. He will run off to the fifth area. There you will fight the strongest version of the umibozu. It will be hard. It will require lots of pikmin. And most importantly, it will be fun, unlike our last umibozu.

    I like the idea where this time around, maybe Olimar crashes and breaks his ship beyond repair. He has no choice but to remain on the planet each night, and thus he collects scrap metal to build up fortifications to survive the night. Other than that, I also love the whole "Koppai Relocation" theory where Koppai has officially run out of resources and they need to settle somewhere else where they can farm and live. It would make sense for them to come to the planet where Alph, Brittany and Charlie just returned from with gallons and gallons of fruit juice.
    On a side note, Dazz would you be willing to do another play through of Pikmin 3? It would be nice to have more regular updates and speculation from you while also having something to look at. Love the content and Pikmin theories, keep up the great work!

      Perhaps both happen, and in knowing each other and basic need for cooperation, olimar joins them, keeping the pikmin 1 had 1 captain , pikmin 2 had 2 captains, and so on, this was not a coincidence, and the 4 captains in pikmin 4 would also make sense (we don't talk about hey pikmin)

    My personal concept for a scrap-collecting Pikmin 4 would probably be:
    The player plays as Louie (or some new character) who outright doesn't have a ship to escape the planet. Instead, they have a small base that can protect itself (one of the early objectives would likely be to allow the base to blast off to new locations, or perhaps simply building a cannon of sorts for transporting your main character across the planet and building a new base in each location, as opposed to having a spaceship) during the night, probably at the start by disassembling itself into a tough shell predators can't eat. Nighttime missions might be a thing still but I doubt that it's going to be a normal occurence.
    The base can be upgraded by finding specific pieces of Scrap. Scrap would probably distinguish itself from Treasures and similar previous systems by requiring specific pieces for specific upgrades. Maybe, to recreate the survival elements of Pikmin 3 without outright porting the fruit system, you'd need resources to allow yourself to skip nighttime, like collecting fuel to blast yourself into orbit for a night.
    Ideas for potential base upgrades or features of base management could be:
    -Some way for the base to override the Pikmin's natural 100 Pikmin limit and extend the cap. Maybe getting around the issue altogether by creating robotic Pikmin equivalents? Robotic Pikmin could be a version of Pikmin that'd be extremely expensive to acquire (requiring excess scrap) and maybe even not having too many special advantages, but with the advantage of having their own cap exclusive to them and not counting towards the normal 100 Pikmin.
    -Enhancing Onion planting via more fertile soil, such as allowing sprouted Pikmin to grow into Buds/Flowers faster while in the ground, or even starting them out as Buds.
    -Static defense turrets that damage enemies that approach the base
    -Allowing resources normally solely dedicated as Pikmin food to be used for other purposes. Maybe all base functions require "fuel" to perform (and you need a certain % of fuel to take off at night?) so at some point in every day you need to fuel up your base, preferably as early as possible.
    -Fast travel around the map, such as a catapult that launches you and your Pikmin across the zone, bridges, quick entrances into the local cave if that comes back, even teleporters though that's probably a bit out there even for Pikmin.
    -Allowing your base to cultivate Candypop Buds (probably at some kind of price?) so you can trade in Pikmin varieties for ones you're short on. Maybe even the ability to attract/capture wild Pikmin for passive Pikmin production over the course of nighttime
    -Secondary bases or allowing your base to relocate itself within the same area
    -Having your base manufacture bridge parts, or make other pieces for Pikmin to carry if there's some equivalent mechanic
    -Having some form of "road" route that when powered lets you and your Pikmin move faster through it
    -Maybe having to sacrifice Scrap to structures in order to instigate powerful (but profitable) boss fights?
    -Building whatever gadgets might be required to circumvent obstacles you find (eg. blowing up a blockage, for example) to force the player to find specific pieces of Scrap in order to progress within an area
    -Allowing the base itself to manufacture (probably using a lot of fuel in the process) useful resources like honey or the spicy juice that we've seen in other games.

    Since there was a ship crash at the end of Pikmin 3 and its probably Louie, then maybe Pikmin 4 has you collecting Ship Parts, Food, and Treasure. Ship parts because your ship just crashed. Food because you need it to survive. And treasure because Louie’s company is bankrupt...AGAIN!

    The scrap idea also helps with another idea, nighttime being a feature. You can build a "lamp" with metal and a lightbulb to make it and give you the ability to go out in night.

    In the opening to pikmin 3 the narrator said that koppai had a "booming population" . So what if the president goes to koppai to escape debt but then tries to colonise PNF-404 to make more money.

    I just created a framework for metal pikmin in a scrap oriented world.
    Silver: metal pikmin, possess magnetic limbs, attract scrap, immune to all hazards (possess head mounted helicopters), cannot be thrown, cannot swarm, cannot be dismissed, cannot fight

    What if for the magnetic pikmin, there can be some sort of climbing mechanic where the pikmin can walk on the metal walls and reach enemies or materials other pikmin can't get to. Or maybe they can go on the walls to unscrew something, like a vent. Even the captains can gain the wall walking ability by gaining an upgrade for their suits.

    I think magnetic pikmin would be a great idea, like maybe their feet are magnetic and maybe the captains get a space suit upgrade to walk on metal walls or on the ceiling to reach different areas. Or maybe you need 5 magnetic pikmin to hold on to you as they carry you up the wall leaving all other pikmin behind but only the magnetic pikmin can make it to certain areas.

    Imagine if magnetic pikmin can walk on metal walls or pull metallic objects more easily than other pikmin. Magnetic pikmin can use their magnetic bodies to pull metal around, and this can be way more affective than just having pikmin carry it. Like a small bolt would normally take 5 pikmin, a single magnet pikmin can magnetize it to the ship/base

    This is a really cool idea. Upgrading bases, building/repairing machines that clear new paths, etc.
    It'd be cool if their ship was completely destroyed beyond repair, forcing you to stay on the planet always, forcing the player to build defenses, gather building materials, and conquer dungeons in order to build tunnels to other overworld areas to set up shop.
    Each to unlock each overworld area, you would need to clear certain dungeons in the way of the tunnel, and gather materials to build a tram to the new area. Thus, each area would have a set few dungeons you'd have to complete to progress, and some bonus ones that have goodies in them that help you such as elemental immunity suits, whistle upgrades, etc.
    Story-wise, each area could have a part you need to build a communicator to contact home, and once you build it and help arrives, after they see all that you've built, they'll want to stay to help clear out the danger in one last spot (the most dangerous of course) to make a resort.

      I've always assumed based on Pikmin 1's ending that the particular Onions you were using had their Pikmin evolve to have better team work skills and survive, since it seems unlikely you have the same Pikmin and Onions each time.

      Good point. Though I think they'll use Pikmin 3's onions. Just seperated again because reasons. Going back to the Pikmin 1 and 2 style would be a downgrade, despite me liking the physical design of the old versions better, since they're just less convienent.

    What if throughout the game there’s a certain place that you need to reach but it’s super high up like on a cliff or something and you need to make a super tall tower to reach it. And over time enemies will find homes in the tower so you have find and take out nests. Or if in every level there’s a boss that has lot of scrap in it’s nest or domain (or maybe the boss swallowed it) and you need to collect scrap in the area to make a small Bridge or ladder to reach it and get the large hunk of scrap for something else or maybe you only collect the scrap to get something special like a battery or fuel.

    I got a few cool ideas for the metallic Pikmin. They are heavy, making them not be thrown as high and they are slower. They are immune to all elemental things, but instead of just being immune, they can use it against enemies. Maybe they could get super heated and do a fire type attack and get electric when electrocuted letting then do an electric attack.

    It would be really cool if in the next game, the captains got an upgrade that let them shoot elements out of them. You could fire out fire, water, or electricity, but you’d have to be careful because you can kill your own pikmin with it. This could open up the opportunity for new puzzles and varied fighting styles, that way there wouldn’t be just one way to fight an enemy.

    While I still would prefer to see items like the treasures return in future Pikmin, I would LOVE a colonization plot (as I frequently say), with the 'treasures' being 'colony parts' creating specific buildings.

    I had an idea if pikmin 4 or whatever the next part of the franchise is could take place on hocotate, we’re we get to see instead of olimar, but his family. If I can recall in pikmin 2 the purples and whites were stored in the ship so what if we got to see them find a new home on hocotate, this would then allow for new pikmin forms were the whites and purple adapt to hocotate environments, and maybe the first pikmin we see and meet it a hocotation made one. Olimars some could have tried experimenting with the pikmin to see if he could make new forms. And what if he made a type of metal one, this would be our first pikmin introdused to us, along side bulbmin,purple,whites, and other new forms.

    the aformentioned magnet pikmin can be probably used in a mine to collect scrap or maybe there can be places where they can't go in a factory because they attract metals like conveyor belts and from that you can get a unique bad ending.

    Imagine a mixture of pikmin 2's goal and pikmin 3's goal. So you have to collect treasure and fruit to feed the captains.
    And if you take this even further you can have both kopaiate and hocotatian captains together so you need to collect veggies too.
    That would be cool

    Magnetic Pikmin Ideas:
    Their design could be skinny like a red pikmin, be grey and reflective, and have little magnetic poles on the top of their head like a U-shaped magnet. Their flower is orange.
    They would be able to stay attached to metallic enemies and objects while others cannot.
    If there is a collectible next to a magnet no other pikmin can reach, throw your magnetic pikmin at the magnet to pull them towards it.
    They could run up walls and ceilings and go in small holes in the walls and ceilings.
    You can attach multiple magnet pikmin together and throw them all at once.
    They can destroy metal walls faster than other pikmin.
    If the magnetic pikmin were like this, that'd be amazing, but they may be too overpowered with ALL of this.

    Well for the next pikmin games, I came up with a few ideas for new pikmin!
    A brown Furred pikmin that has Claws. This pikmin could dig through spots on walls or potentially even through any terrain (although I think that would be a bit OP)
    An aqua-colored Bubble pikmin with glassy eyes and a cavity in its chest that makes bubbles. It’s flower would be a lotus flower and it would have the ability to hover over water and Carry objects using bubbles. Adding winged pikmin to push the bubble would make it easy to carry stuff back to base.
    A dark green pikmin with thorns all over its body. It would have the ability to stick to walls and enemies and also be able to resist sandstorms.
    The Parasite pikmin would be a toxic neon green and would have spider eyes and a Venus flytrap for a flower. These pikmin will infest corpses of monsters and walk around in them, using their corpses abilities to guard the other pikmin.
    A glowing mushroom pikmin which would use a bright flash to stun enemies and also would be able to create Sporemin, which would basically be temporary Pikmin for your pikmin.
    A peach colored pikmin with a Big brain. Its ability would be his superior intellect, being able to open special doors and even push enemies away with Telekinesis.
    and Finally, a shiny silver pikmin with a big seed on its head (along with a metal helmet encasing the head) would be thrown quickly forward and pierce enemies. it would also hurt enemies that try to crush it, since the seed on its head is very hard and pretty pointy.

    Maybe scrap could be a good idea, Olimar has been begging his wife to live on PNF-404 until she says yes, so the family moves there with the S.S. Dolphin III! Patent pending. Olimar also thought it would be good to find Louie too! So they take off, the Pikmin give them a warm welcome, and hope for the best. Until you find enough scrap to build at least a “decent” base, the family and Pikmin go above orbit. You could also build furniture to boost you and your Pikmin (the Pikmin live with you, not in the onion), and make gizmos to help give upgrades to the ship. When Louie is found, the ship turns to autopilot and brings Louie home. When the ship comes back, it’s empty, but they find out an asteroid is coming to PNF-404, and it’s tiny! But it’s just Louie...

    While the "Build a Ship/Base" idea seems interesting, I'd think Scrap in general is basically just Treasure. Most if not all treasures from Pikmin 2 and Hey! Pikmin could basically be used in one form or another to build something, so the Scrap idea is just "Treasure but with a different purpose for story."

    Please dazz, read this: since at the end of pikmin 3 we can see a crashing ship it would be amazing if olimar or a mechanic from hocotate crashed into the planet and the ship exploded, so he loses everything, and he has to collect scrap to rebuild a ship with his mechanic skills, but since he can't fly away during nighttime, you have to also build protection for you and the onion, and nights would be harder, obviously, it won't have maps, it would be all open space, like merging all pikmin 3 maps in one. You have different onion locations and when you reach one you can 'call' the onion and the onion will land on that spot, and the pikmin will bring the protection you had built, or maybe not, to Make it a bit harder. You collect scrap and build an improvised ship which will lead you home.

    I heard collect scrap and immediately got war flashbacks to Fallout 4. Also, I like the colonization idea. Perhaps Hocotate and Koppai might send a familiar quartet of heroes to our favourite alien planet to do so? I'd love to see how something like that could be done, especially seeing as Hocotate would want to gain more valuables from PNF-404, and Koppai would be capable of growing the food, as they are the ones who learned how the fruits are cultivated.

    In pikmin 3s ending Olimar took off with a new ship and crashed so that's the reason red, rock, yellow, winged, and blue pikmin are in pikmin 3 and hey pikmin at the end of the credits olimar crashed and the pikmin were interested by the ship crashing

    what if magnetic pikmin where used for if a metal bridge on the other side of a cavern you cant reach magnetic pikmin were used to pull it to you but cant walk on it or they would get stuck to it so you would have another captan (if there is one) to stay with it and do multi tasking or something like that just a fun little idea i had

    I would like a new pikmin type like a mini pikmin! They can be thrown farther, keep their grip if an enemy tries to shake them off, go faster than a flower pikmin, dodge enemy projectiles, and expand the max amount of pikmin! The only bad parts about mini pikmin would be that they only do 1/2 damage, can’t survive electricity, fire and water, and make you have less normal pikmin and instead have mini pikmin.

    As it it confirmed by the Geiger Counter in Pikmin 1 that there is radiation on the planet there might be radioactive scraps laying around which could pose as a hazard that you'd need radiation resistant pikmin to carry.
    This goes well with the base idea as the radioactive scraps could be used as a light source for night time missions or as some sort of power source for the base.
    Radiation may also be a hazard that cannot be dealt with like the fire geysers in Pikmin 3 which would mean you'd have to use the resistant pikmin to carry things through radioactive zones

    BTW, you mentioned in a previous video how you didn't think having every single pikmin type could work in Pikmin 4 but I think there is a way that it can. If two more Pikmin types are added in Pikmin 4 then the total amount of pikmin types will be nine (discounting bulbmin) which can then be divided into three groups of three. So while it may be possible to have every type of pikmin in the game you could only get three at a time. If you're playing as groups of certain characters. For example you could start off playing as Olimar and Louie exploring an area and only discovering red yellow and blue pikmin, then the story can switch focus to Brittany and Alph who are in a completely different area and discover the rock, winged and a new type. Finally it could change the focus to two new characters exploring another area who find the whites purples and a second new type. Each area could be expansive enough to have places that are locked off until you have the right pikmin when you explore there with the team who has them, i.e. you return to an area where Brittany and Alph were as Olimar and Louie and you can explore areas blocked by fire etc.
    This could work with the scrap mechanic mentioned in this video, using it to upgrade your ship to discover new areas. To finish off this very long comment perhaps magnetic pikmin could have a weakness in that they activate certain hazards, Such as a gate with two metal pieces that slam together if a magnetic pikmin were to pass through crushing any pikmin between them. Also what colour do you think magnetic pikmin would be? personally I'm thinking black.

    With this being brought up, I kinda would like a Pikmin game with some nature VS machine theme. Maybe each location in the game has some part of it and it's wild life that's been/being mechanized and you gotta figure out why, sort of like Kirby: Planet Robobot. maybe the mysterious force could be the same thing that made the Gattling Groink and other mechanical creatures from Pikmin 2.

    What if in Pikmin 4, it's a mix of everything? More Koppaites and Hocotations could come to the planet, possibly Alph Brit and Char, as well as Olimar, Louie, and the President, or a whole new planet's people coming, and what winds up happening is another crash, though this time the ship is beyond repair... SO what your captains must do is find the pikmin, new and old, and have to make a base, as well as gather food for survival. Food could still give as much as it did in 3, however how much you use up is dependent on how many captains you have or how many you used during the day? If you took out two captains to use, you use up 2 days of provisions. However, to balance this, every few days fruit and vegetables regrow. And if you get Louie, bringing creatures back to base during the night will give you actual meals to eat, like if you brought back a firey blowhog, you get spicy bacon! We diiiid have all those notes in Pikmin two on how to cook all the monsters after all. However, using Louie to go out at night could be a bit of a gambling move, for the dangers, as well as his personal gluttonous behavior mean he eats 2-3 days of food at once, though the stuff he makes is worth at least a day and a half.

    this is genius, but what as well as new types of pikmin: Acidic(green) pikmin for metals, metallic based enemies, and can go through acidic or tar swamps they are green with eyes that are yellow and similar to the white and winged pikmin eyes. then orange pikmin which would have light elements as of photon or holy against ghost like enemies, prisms, or sources to reflect, also stag pikmin (beetle pikmin: sea foam green or brown) imagine roots, trees blocking your path, too thick vines, wires that need to cut or snip, puzzles that needed to have something to cut through obstacles or to free certain items or a parasitic effect on enemies due to their bites can do a 10 second damage effect on them.

    I'm thinking metallic plates or something screwed onto a table, and you could get, say 4, of your magnetic pikmin to walk in circular patterns to unscrew the bolts. This could add a patterns system, which I find to be useful. Another idea I have is for magnetic pikmin to be able to drag metallic objects. Say, a metal clock, they could be carrying a bulborb or something and walk nearby a metallic clock, and pull it slowly. Maybe you could even use them to move around portable bases, which on their own sound really cool. But this is just an idea, I don't think this will be implemented. Also, I'd like to see an "extinction" mechanic. The way it would work is that once you lose, for example, all of your red pikmin, then your onion loses the color red and thus can't produce red pikmin. Or maybe an aging mechanic, where the pikmin start off weak (flower), go through some kind of "puberty" (Blossoming, abilities are mixed), become strong (flower), get old (wrinkly flower, maybe) and die. I think it would be interesting to see something like this implemented into pikmin 4, and I think it would add more strategy, and all around draw more attention to the flowers on their heads.

    Maybe when you collect scrap you will have to put the scrap together at the end of the day, like a puzzle piece and it will make a part to make the ship with, And then put the parts together and build the ship, and maybe there would be stats, like if the parts of the ship is to heavy for the ship, and it will limit the places to go so you would have to find and fix the problem, and ect

    I’m glad to have finally stumbled upon ere’. All these ideas are fantastic I see so I’ve come to share mine. If you want to you can do this as another video but I have this idea of Crystal Variant Pikmin which applies to all Pikmin that is usable.
    Here is the overview, Crystal Variant Pikmin have a crystal clear texture of that specific Pikmin and shine of their features, they have a 5% chance to spawn from an onion or they can be located in hidden nests, they are a lot faster, stronger and respond quicker than their regular Pikmin.
    They also attract their Pikmin type to follow them like Crystal Red attracts Red and Crystal Winged attracts Winged Pikmin. They basically have another half of strength added to them so they die in 2 hits (Except for Crystal Rock who die in 4 Hits). Those specific locations I mentioned require solving a challenging obstacle entitled to that Pikmin type before taking on a secret-miniboss that explodes into them. Eg. Ruby Bulborb to save Crystal Red Pikmin. You only need that specific type however if accessible by other Pikmin is allowed like Blue and Winged can go after Crystal Blue Pikmin.
    Differences:
    •Much stronger than regular counterpart
    •They move quicker
    •Rarity is more higher
    •They attract their Pikmin type due to their texture
    •Their grow time is longer for the flower on top which is a more shiny version like a Shiny White Flower for the first three
    •Specific abilities enhanced like White Pikmin poison when dead is much deadlier
    Moving on, if a Crystal Pikmin dies, they drop their specific Pik Pik Shards that once obtained the needed amount (2-5 Shards) can crystalfy a Pikmin with the specific Shards like Red Pikmin with Red Pik Pik Shards From Crystal Red Pikmin. However they can also be obtained by breaking these colour specific Crystal Patches that can only be broken by the Rock Pikmin which you unlock later containing 1-8 Shards depending on size requiring more hits to take to expand as well making them even more useful!
    Another idea is to have Evil Pikmin Of each type that appear in small hostile groups to attack your own Pikmin.
    Also I would like to see them nerf the Rock Pikmin’s Hits to 2 Hits to make em’ balanced yet useful.

    There is a fangame that features metal as the primary collectible. In this fangame, metal is converted to fuel in order to power the ship so that it can keep running, and some particular objects upgrade the leaders' suits and the ship. Other than that, the usage of metal doesn't get quite as creative as some ideas suggested in this video, but they're still interesting nonetheless.     So what if in PIKMIN 4 Olimar returns to Hocotate and reunites with his family...but only to be questioned with again where is Louie....Captain Olimar explains that Louie has once again gone off on his own and Olimar doesn't wish to save him again. Until Louie's grandmother begs him as well as his boss demanding his employee back...goes Alone to find Louie....or possibly brings his son this time to teach him...either way.

    I think historical relics is a likely possibility tbh. Archeologists might be interested in the ancient relics left by an ancient alien race, aka humans, that was found by Olimar and seen by the others.

    maybe the pikmin could have shades of their colors caused by a parasitic pikmin that benefits both: they advance the pikmin's abilities and the pikmin (MAYBE BRING BACK BULBMIN. IDEA OF HOW LATER) would live (maybe they have they're own onion that you throw pikmin and creatures in to get paraticized)

    Since most of the metal objects would probably be rusted and worn down what if there was a pikmin that oily substance that can be used to polish away the rust and whatnot to make it in better condition, whether this comes from a new type of pikmin or an enemy.
    I think it could also come from blue pikmin since they are amphibious and their bodies could give off a slimy substance.

    All these ideas make me to have a semi-open world Pikmin game where you play as Louie and start up at 1 place but you have open world but then you can you scrap to build a base and the a vehicle of some sort of to travel to a Faraway places like a mountain where we have a snow area or a lake or river and more scrap you can use together build your base or a vehicle and to get to new areas when you travel with a vehicle you can build a base ther so you could stay the night there instead of having to go back then a whole bunch of hidden bosses and cave systems and a weather system that effect the current area the your in like rain could make rhe area more flooded meaning you need more blues this works great sense Louie is stuck on PNF-404 and you can have multiple captains to control that plays in to the story when you upgrade your base you get a signal from say Brittany she tell she in the area then u fight a boss and save her and then you have a second captain to control then she tells you that after the events of pikmin 3 Olimar alph Brittany and Charlie came the the planet to save you but the had the some thing worg happen to thier ship and the had bad landing and the crew split of into the planet some where and we need to save them and once you save all of them and get them in your crew you need to built a new ship or fix the old one when building the ship new areas are now open to explore this would be a cool idea and a open world would be a cool idea to and go well with the scrap idea and the base and you can choose where you which area you want to go first amd next like you can make the ship or vehicle more heat resistant or snow resistant this is great for replay value as you can have different conversations with captains depending on how you got first this would be a cool idea for pikmin 4 what do you think also this could have co- op game play since theirs 4 to 5 captains all well you play as Louie.
