Just make Louie the main villian, he fuses with the Wraith or something to become a big final boss monster where it just literally kills Louie while also being his moment of redemption
When you defeat the Louie beast you hear a little "I'm... hungry..." Bonus points if you can bring him to the onion and you get a special item or something
so this is griff's masterpiece, maybe at the end of the game, there could be a boss that takes all the metal power sources, and their could be a space fight level, like in kirby's return to dreamland for the wii, i know its not like the pikmin series, but it would be a surprise to see all your hard work taken away right before finishing the game.
I have a pikmin idea as well. What do you all think about a light blue ice pikmin. They could (maybe) walk on water by freezing it, but the ice would immediately melt afterwards so no other pikmin could walk across it. They would also be immune to frost. If other pikmin would get hit by a ice enemy or something they would be frozen, but as soon as you whistle them the ice would start cracking and eventually break after a few seconds. There would also be ‘‘walls‘‘ made of frozen branches wich are so cold that a small area around them is frozen too even in a normally hot level and every Pikmin (except the ice Pikmin) would freeze immediately when they touch those branches. I hope you like the idea and maybe even be able to provide ideas for the design of those Pikmin and the potential frost enemies.
My idea: Ice Pikmin with a blocky body of ice (brick-like). Doesn't swim deep, but can float above water to follow captain. Ice Block Formations: Lay out one by one to bridge over land or water for other Pikmin and captains to cross. Stack into a pole for Pikmin to climb (their limbs stick out like ladder bars). Wall to stop incoming objects. Raft to transport Pikmin carrying an object. When thrown at enemies they bounce off, but each impact slows the enemy down a tiny bit, causing it to act slower.

I also have a pikmin idea Glowing Pikmin Instead of a leaf they would have a glowing mushrooms interested which can be found in the forest navel. They can also fit in the story for example mabey the space ship can get struck by lightning since it would be made out of metal which causes you to fall back to pnf-4 in the night now you have to find the missing parts of the ship while you're looking for the parts you see something glowing in a cave as you enter you find glowing mushrooms as you explore you find the glowing Pikmin which can now help you see in the dark this can introduce night levels and new bosess and creatures that are afraid of the light this can let you enter new areas in the map Maybe there can be electric eeles which only come out in the night you can many kill the eel then absorb it's energy. Wood pikmin Ability: it's more restiance to damage then other pikmin and also have 2 pikmin carrying force. In combat, they are a bit stronger then blue and yellow, but not as strong as red or purple. They would be able to climb on tree and can use sticks as weapon
I've never seen someone go so in-depth with their ideas and concepts, this was such a blast to watch! I also have an idea for a potential area for Pikmin 4 - a water level, like completely submerged. Movement would be overhauled as you could go in all directions although with the inference of needing to come back up every so often for energy/air, something of the sort. It gets me so giddy when I think of what kind of environments and enemies you could find in such a vast area, god I want a new Pikmin entry
Yeah.... But instead you land on a booie or something, or a rock. Just In case you accidentally pull out red Pikmin or don't want the flying Pikmin to drown.
What if your ship and the Onion(s) got trapped within an underwater cave? You'd start in a small section with land and air, but would have to traverse the large flooded area to get out.
You know, I think I have an idea: So with pikmin, we've been traversing the main land, how about in the next game, they could do a section say in an a bay or ocean like area, where you can only use your blue pikmin, or you could land on a thicker cloud (pollution being the probable source on why you can land) where everything is lighter but you have to limit how many pikmin are out on the field, just some cool ideas

I would like a survival mode where we actually get to experience night on the planet, this would give us a reason for bigger stronger creatures to fight against. Also maybe find a sort of small underdeveloped onion that can be taken with the player and can eventually be raised into a real onion.
This was so creative! I love your idea for the new dynamic storyline. Having there be new zones and such, I could totally see slime Pikmin coming up in a swamp area or burrowing/potato Pikmin being formed in some sort of under ground caverny area. I cringed at the idea of having to work with Louie but definitely loved your suggestion of throwing an ankle bracelet on him; maybe he can only travel a short distance from the ship and perform menial tasks like Pikmin farming, gathering berries for sprays, or acting as a landing sight sentry. Great work!
When you mentioned cyborgian orange pikmin, I thought for sure you’d have them be magnetic. That could be an interesting puzzle dynamic in this mystery fourth game. Also, love the idea of the burrowing pikmin! Though the fact they can’t be eaten or crushed, and can carry items without rising from the ground is pretty OP. Perhaps a nerf for this guy would be that when they carry an object, they go laboriously slow. Anyway, great vid!
I was skeptical when I clicked on, but over the course of the video I was shown that you are a true fan! Your ideas show that you put a lot of planning into them, I’d really love to see most of this come to fruition in the next installment! I particularly like the david/mayor/Louie storyline. Not only are all of these ideas amazing, but you give these ideas a creative perspective with your drawings and pixel art! Now some suggestions I have for the pikmin you pitched was some weaknesses for them. Maybe mechanical pikmin would instantly get killed when touched by water, or would explode when near fire for longer periods of time, causing large damage to both pikmin and enemies alike, slime pikmin would do less damage due to their malleable structure, as well as attack slower since their stems would get stuck to the enemy, and burrowing pikmin would have a lower height when thrown (because why not), and would be weaker to water because of their life underground. Just some ideas I thought of, and once again, amazing video, really enjoyed it!
I always wanted a enemy that doesn’t have treasures it IS THE TREASURE! Like imagine trying to get some scrap metal and then a GIANT SCRAP ROBOT JUST BUILD’S ITSELF! and if your lucky to kill it, Louie gets regurgitated
I have a weird concept: Tribemin. A sort of replacement for the Bulbmin from Pikmin 2, Tribemin are a subspecies of Pikmin that seem to have evolved to the point where they exhibit intelligence akin to that of early cave people. They are a mottled green-ish colour. They wield twigs and stones as weapons, wear leaves as clothes and bark as armour, and have been shown to work as a team even without a supposed leader, taking down endemic life far larger than themselves. However, they don't want anything to do with the captains at first; they'll chase them down and attack them unless they have an item know as the 'Sapling of Peace'. This strange plant released a pheromone that subdues aggravated Tribemin into a state where they can be recruited. Tribemin are able to recognize major hazards like fire and electricity, and are able to survive in water (though they cannot dive), so they could be used to solve element based puzzles. They also have high attack power, but cannot grab onto enemies if they're holding a stick. They also cannot carry items for this same reason. To get them to drop their weapons, you just need to disperse the group.
I'm glad to see hopeful videos like these still existing. Seriously tired of the speculation if Pikmin 4 is even coming out in general. Also good to see the refinement of ideas from hey pikmin. Thats something that I've never seen before from speculation videos

My Ideas: Earth Pikmin (Green) - Is 10x stronger than other Pikmin when carrying fruit FRUIT ONLY, and cannot be killed by being squashed Orange Pikmin - Turns into Nectar upon death, if it is carrying something to the Onion it only produces 1 Orange Pikmin Power Pikmin (Cyan) The ultimate Pikmin - Has all the powers of the other Pikmin, it can die 5 times, and it's resistant to bombs. My ideas for enemies: Earth Skutterchuck - Looks like a Skutterchuck but brown and instead of throwing crystals, it throws peices of earth that buries Pikmin (except Earth Pikmin) to break down the earth you need the Earth Pikmin. Tart Scoundrel - A monster that disguises itself as a Face Wrinkler, when you try to carry it it eats all the Pikmin trying to carry it but the Earth Pikmin can hold a Tart Scoundrel without it being disturbed. Instead of returning it to the ship, it returns it to the Onion. It creates Orange Pikmin when you bring it back to the Onion and the number you get varies from 1 - 3. It is unkillable. Blue Bulborb - Has a considerably low chance of spawning instead of a Bulborb and makes twice the times more Pikmin. Dwarf Blue Bulborb - Has an extremely low chance of spawning instead of a Dwarf Bulborb and makes a Power Pikmin. Dwarf Whiptounge Bulborb - Is pretty much the Whiptonge Bulborb but smaller and the tounge has been shortened. Fake Candypop Bud - Looks like the Candypop Bud and the colour is the same colour as the highest number of Pikmin you have. Say the highest number is yellow, it would be yellow. If you had equal amounts of Pikmin, say 25 yellows, 25 blues, 25 winged and 25 rocks it would turn the colour of the earliest Pikmin you find in the game, so that would be grey for rock. It eats Pikmin when they go into it and you can tell the real from the fake because the fake is slightly larger and darker.
My idea for a "sticky" Pikmin was for Orange. Have them covered in thorns so they're hard to shake off and can climb slippery slopes (which captains can now do because of cleats or etc). Have them do extra damage to soft, unarmored enemies like puffy blowhogs, meanwhile their partner Pikmin specializes in armored enemies. Having watched some more of this video, perhaps those slime Pikmin could fit in. Maybe they're somehow corrosive and the goo hazard would deflower Pikmin, too. Complete opposite of nectar.
I had a cool pikman type idea, feral pikmin, fluffy and clawed pikmin which are really strong at fighting and will attack anything hostile, even if it don't want them to, they deal 4 times the damage an are faster and even if they get shook of they will try to jump back on and keep attacking, thought they are very slow at carrying items, and can't use pellets
6:54 perfect. JUST PERFECT. It would be amazing to have another one of these but instead of thinking you can just collect the fruit in Pikmin 3, you first fight a small boss, then fight an even bigger boss. Amazing idea. *claps hands*
Here are some ideas of your three Pikmin types: Robo / Metal / Mecha Pikmin: Can work in space and gains a power boost when interacting with electrical hazards / enemies. Can use scrap metal from ether fallen foes / friends / environment to produce half the normal amount of seeds. They can also create a small amount of metal to help power the Space Station and can assist in maintenance of it. Slime Pikmin: They are not only resistant to poison but they also thrive in it. Beeing from a very toxic environment, they have also gained mutagenic properties. If an enemy eats then and some time passes upon your next visit to the area you may have a Bulbmin like creature waiting for you at the Landing site when you next touchdown. Burrowing Pikmin: They can lay mines for grounded enemies to walk on and take damage from. Perhaps a slowing effect could be added as well. Perhaps they could allow for the creation of shortcuts?
I have an idea for the plot: the way David (the scientist) goes with the mayor is through a raffle thing where the mayor picks somebody to go to pnf-404.
Now all you need is the boss that connects to the pikmin 1 (golix) pikmin 2 (water rig) pikmin 3 (plasma wraith) because most people including me believe there all connected Ps bring back bulbmin pls have a onion that's the shape of a bulborb that walks keep the bulbmin safe from sunset and they would have abilities like be safe from most enemies mostly bulborbs at the leaf stage they would roar to stun an enemy for 2 seconds at bud stage the stun last 5 seconds and they would be able to help carry objects because they are mostly a attack pikmin at flower stage their carrying power would double their attack would be more than the rock pikmin but less than the purple. The roar would be 13 seconds these pikmin would not carry bomb rocks the entrance and exit animation would be like the ship from pikmin 2 their roar would access certain areas that other Pikmin couldn't get to.also another idea is customizable space suits although in space suit would still share the same abilities like being able to wear the electrical suit from Pikmin 3 the fire resistant to from Pikmin 2 other things like that and a special bolbmin suit I'm only saying that because of the bolbmin I want in
Digger Pikmin - Digs very fast because of its claws and deals 2x damage. But it attacks slow and runs slow. Ice Pikmin - There could be an ice attack and they are invincible to that, dies quicker in fire and can freeze water to make bridges. Doesn’t slip on ice Edit: Diggers are brown, ice are light blue
Ok so I’m a month late, but I had some ideas of my own. I think the Pikmin franchise is amazing but my biggest complaint is how little innovation goes into each game. I think having the next Pikmin game taking place in places like coral reefs and the deep sea would be amazing. You would also occasionally travel onto small islands where you would use Pikmin from previous games. The water Pikmin would play a huge role in this game as it’s the most one trick pony Pikmin in the previous games. There would be new water breathing Pikmin but in order to keep blue Pikmin usable they would be given a underwater speed-boost or higher attack against water enemies. Or another idea (reply your ideas). The new Pikmin would be a green seaweed Pikmin that has seaweed on its head instead of a flower. It can use its seaweed to have other Pikmin climb it like a stick in the previous games to get up higher. It can also help with some enemies that are to high up. Another Pikmin idea would be the orange coral Pikmin. This Pikmin would have coral instead of a flower and would attract enemies if you throw it. The enemy would leave all other Pikmin alone while it would chase after the coral Pikmin. To help it survive the coral Pikmin would be able to dig itself into the ground if you whistle at it while it’s running away. However this will also make the enemy focus back onto you. You would have to decide if it’s worth saving the life of it or if it’s better of escaping while it dies. They would be a little bit hard to come by as they can be huge in a pinch and they can’t use enemy bodies to reproduce, only rare orange pellets. There would also be a new mode where you need to drive a submarine to escape huge sea monsters. This would be a mini game on the main menu as well as in parts of the story. Well, that’s all my creativity. Anybody else have any ideas.
Also for anyone wondering there would be no swimming in this game. Implementing swimming would be very difficult especially for a Pikmin game and in my opinion would remove some of the games charm. The characters would just be walking on the seafloor like how past games did rivers and ponds.
I do have some Pikmin type ideas my self, here you go. Lava Pikmin: This type looks like a black charred Pikmin with cracks of lava flowing through it and a volcano on its head and this type is immune to lave and fire but die faster to water than other types and their black charred body acts as an explosion shield where it's immune to an explosion but after that it loses it armor where it looks like a lava blob where it can't catch frostbite and it instantly dies to water. It has a 3x attack power but attacks 3 times slower than other types meaning it deals the same DPS as most other types but it can use the volcano on its head to erupt and damage enemies around it but can kill your own Pikmin. So this type is a high risk high reward type. Mud Pikmin: This type looks like a brown blob with a Pikmin face and a flower on it's head, it can walk across mud and can spit mud as an attack that can put out fires and bring fliers down to earth. They can also store bombs or icy blasts inside them to launch out later for more damage. Lastly on bottomless swamps if you throw some Mud Pikmin into it, up to 5 Mud Pikmin can merge into a bigger Mud Pikmin which is as strong as 10 Pikmin when carrying and in combat but after a while it will disband launching the mud Pikmin in all directions. Also when they come in contact with fire they turn into dirt where you can turn them back by whistling or spraying water on them. Slime Pikmin: This type looks like a green Pikmin with light green spots around it's body and has dark green eyes. It's body is really sticky and is hard to shake off. Like Mud Pikmin they can store bombs inside them as a ranged attack and can merge with 4 other Slime Pikmin, but their bomb throw has more range with and damage but a smaller explosion. Their bodies are extremely stretchy meaning they can grab onto rocks to make a barrier or a slingshot to launch the boulders in Pikmin 3 or launch enemies attacks back at them. Light Pikmin: This type has a black body with yellow eyes. They are immune to the hazard gloom which is what the Smokey Progg emits. The flower on their head also emits light but each stage acts differently, leaves acts as a spotlight shining light like a beam, buds act like lamps lighting the area around them and flowers have a lightbulb on their head lighting the area around them like buds but can temporarily light up entire caves. They're also useful in combat as they can blind enemies with bright lights. So basically, its a walking flashbang. Drill Pikmin: This type has an tangerine body with small squinted eyes and claws. They're claws makes them excellent diggers having 5x digging speed along with giving them 1.2x attack power and can make shortcuts by digging tunnels back to base but can only dig on soft materials like dirt and sand. They can also do a drill attack doubling their digging speed and can drill into enemies dealing big damage but are highly inaccurate because of their eyes. They can also dig underground when left behind at sunset being sprouts to pluck next morning. Blade Pikmin: This type has a steel gray body and two blades for hands. They can be used to cut webs arachnorbs make and makes them easier to fight. They're also powerful fighters having 5x attack power but aren't very useful when carrying as they can accidently slice spice berries when carrying them or even cut spicy berry plants making it so you can't harvest berries from it for the rest of the day, they also move 3x as slow when carrying stuff and have a 50% of dropping items they're carrying. Nature Pikmin: This type has a brown body with green leaves on its body. They're immune to pollen which causes your Pikmin to react like they would with fire. They can also control plants which can help them carry stuff or in combat, and can also release spores that can stun enemies, put them to sleep or even temporarily hypnotize any non boss. Tree Pikmin: This type has a brown body with a wooden texture with , as a leaf they don't have any defining traits except being as strong as 5 Pikmin, but when they consume nectar, instead of going strait to a flower, they go to to a sapling [Which is a bud for them] which not only makes them twice as big, they deal double damage and have the strength of 10 Pikmin and when they consume 2 full drops of nectar, they become a tree [Which is a flowered Tree Pikmin] where it 5 times the size of a normal Pikmin with triple damage and 25 carrying strength. They're only weakness is fire and poison as they die really easy to it even if you save them they revert back to a leaf. Spring Pikmin: This type has a dark orange body but instead of having two legs, it has one spring and a spring with a flower on it's head. Meaning after it's thrown it can ricochet off surfaces reaching items no other type can reach and bounce twice as high on bouncy mushrooms. Although they're great at reaching items that require a puzzle, they struggle at grabbing items anywhere else because they bounce off anything, which does deal impact damage meaning when fighting a creature in an enclosed area, it would be more fun and efficient with Spring Pikmin. They can also do an AOE attack where it flails around it's spring flower deal damage to anything unlucky enough to be in the blast zone and it can knock back or even kill enemy Pikmin or captains in versus lastly if a creature tries to squish a spring Pikmin, if there's enough spring Pikmin in the squish zone where it can carry the corpse of said enemy like a Wollywog trying to crush 5 spring Pikmin, it'll bounce off, and creatures without a corpse like Beady Long Legs take 50 Spring Pikmin to bounce off of. Gliding Pikmin: This type has has a light brown body with gliding wings on each of it's arms allowing it to glide through the sky. Although wings may be better in flight, gliding Pikmin have a better time flying in windy areas, are faster in the air and are immune to wind attacks as they can use the wind to fly up to a enemy and attack it. They can also glide when carrying items only if it's being carried by only Gliding Pikmin. Ant Pikmin: This type has a beige coloured body, with 4 arms, 2 legs, a thorax, an abdomen, two antenna one holding the flower and a pair of mandibles. This type can climb up walls and count as 2 Pikmin when carrying. They can also sting and shoot acid to stun creatures. They can also communicate with ant like enemies to help attack or carry which could make for a fun boss. Portal Pikmin: This type has a light blue. They can make shortcuts by making portals back to base or reach inaccessible areas. When shaken off, they have a chance to summon a portal below them right before they land and above the creature that shook them off to latch back onto them. I like the idea but I think that should be optional since not everyone wants a sandbox game. So you'd have like *PLAY STORY MODE* *SURVIVAL MODE* *OPTIONS* *SETTINGS*
I love the tame Enemy's idea there could be a froot that tames an enemy but you would need a serten amount of ship upgrades. Small - 1 upgrade Medium - 3 upgrades Large - 5 upgrades
the goo pikmin seems like an interesting idea! you could have them make the enemy stick to the ground when stepped on, ''paralyzing'' them for a short time! You would still lose the pikmin, but at least it would redeem it's death. And white pikmins wouldn't be the only ones that can potentially hinder enemies when they die!

It Will Also Flail Its 3 Tongues Around The Arena, Flings Blobs Of Water All Over The Arena. It Will Also Unhinge Its Jaw, Sending A Dwarf Behemoth Bulbax, Which Acts Like A Bulborb. If Any Pikmin Fall Into Its Mouth During This Process, It Will Eat Them. The Tongue Will Also Eat Pikmin. How To Defeat:When It Opens It Jaw, You Will Have To Sacrifice 3 Pikmin Carrying Bomb Rocks Inside. You Will Then Need To Get It To Step On 2 Bomb Rocks, Before It Is Weakened, Allowing Pikmin To Damage It Better. Once It Gets Back Up From This State, However, All The Pikmin Will Get A Random Element Inflicted Onto Them.
this makes me think of some old pikmin type ideas i had forever ago root (or orange or something) pikmin: they are orange-light brown and their limbs resemble woody tree roots. their almost claw like limbs allow them to climb up vertical surfaces (a new game mechanic there) and cling to enemies much more reliably (like when an enemy shakes pikmin off, 70% chance they'll cling on when other types would fall off every time). if not called root pikmin or orange pikmin, stickmin, if you'll excuse the pun, bc they are woody like a stick and bc they stick to enemies and the walls when climbing). light pikmin/shining pikmin: theyd be teal-green with yellow-white glowing eyes, and have orange-yellow flowers that light up dark areas; a decent glow when in the squad, but a brighter glow when used in the swarm maneuver, as well as when they're not under command (like how regular ones have a little glow around their flower, but these have a big glow) so that they can be thrown strategically to serve as little lampposts, with some kind of adjustment to make them less easy to accidentally call back into the group. they'd be a scarcer type, like whites and purples in pikmin 2. Alternatively to a dedicated glowing type, a pikmin enhancing spray that causes pikmin to grow glowing mushroom caps instead of flowers for a period of time (riffing off the puffstool enemy from pikmin 1 and the glowcap mushrooms from the whole series) parasitic pikmin: this is in the series already as bulbmin, but for this they'd be different, appearing before they attach to the host. they'd be a bright acid green color with beady black eyes, little feeler roots around the mouth area, and also somewhat spindly fingers and toes, (in pikmin 2 it says they extend their root like limbs into the hosts nervous system to take control, for which they would have especially spindly limbs). they'd be a scarcer type like whites and purples (prob coming from candypop buds) but even less common than those, bc of how they'd be used. i imagine something like this: you can throw them onto a creature (or maybe they must be eaten), and they'll burrow in and take control of it and allow you to use it to fight other creatures. as a needed downside, maybe they wouldn't be able to seperate from the host, and have to be left behind (either it can't go to the next floor in a cave or it won't return to its onion/the ship/etc to be used the next day), or maybe the parasite can only maintain control for so long, after a time dying inside the host (providing a time limit downside). don't know how that fits in with a no deaths run :/ but either way, more of a special occasion type thing like spicy spray, rather than an everyday mechanic. what do y'all think
I’ve always been fascinated with pikmin but have never owned the proper consoles for it. Damn exclusivity, limiting the potential fans of a game to a select few.
Well, Making a video game with that much effort and graphics and mechanics is probably pretty hard. Also making more options, Makin sure not to put in to much graphics in case the Nintendo switch can't take it. You get it. They want everyone to be happy but it take a while to do it.
I have a story Olimar was going to pnf 404 for money but his ship was metal and their was a very strong magnet so it broke and fail and he had to find 28 ship parts cause some of the parts fell next to ollimar but he also had to find his ship and he had 27 days to live or else he would die
I also thought of some pikmin ideas rainbow pikmin they have th power of blue red white yellow and winged pikmin And dirt pikmin they can hide underground and go to the other side of walls to get stuff from the other side and come back with it

You really made a great idea for Pikmin 4 while having that Pikmin feeling. I really like this idea! I hope Nintendo switches a few parts, not the mechanics! But some little details so it's not spoiled by the video. Since if they copied everything then the video would spoil most if the game. But I really like the idea and keeps the Pikmin feeling.
I really love the brown and robot pikmin! The slime pikmin less so, but still cool! I thought a green pikmin could be more plant-like, like a Venus flytrap, rose or something.

so this is griff's masterpiece, maybe at the end of the game, there could be a boss that takes all the metal power sources, and their could be a space fight level, like in kirby's return to dreamland for the wii, i know its not like the pikmin series, but it would be a surprise to see all your hard work taken away right before finishing the game.

I have a pikmin idea as well. What do you all think about a light blue ice pikmin. They could (maybe) walk on water by freezing it, but the ice would immediately melt afterwards so no other pikmin could walk across it. They would also be immune to frost. If other pikmin would get hit by a ice enemy or something they would be frozen, but as soon as you whistle them the ice would start cracking and eventually break after a few seconds. There would also be ‘‘walls‘‘ made of frozen branches wich are so cold that a small area around them is frozen too even in a normally hot level and every Pikmin (except the ice Pikmin) would freeze immediately when they touch those branches. I hope you like the idea and maybe even be able to provide ideas for the design of those Pikmin and the potential frost enemies.
My idea:
Ice Pikmin with a blocky body of ice (brick-like).
Doesn't swim deep, but can float above water to follow captain.
Ice Block Formations:
Lay out one by one to bridge over land or water for other Pikmin and captains to cross.
Stack into a pole for Pikmin to climb (their limbs stick out like ladder bars).
Wall to stop incoming objects.
Raft to transport Pikmin carrying an object.
When thrown at enemies they bounce off, but each impact slows the enemy down a tiny bit, causing it to act slower.

Instead of a leaf they would have a glowing mushrooms interested which can be found in the forest navel.
They can also fit in the story for example mabey the space ship can get struck by lightning since it would be made out of metal which causes you to fall back to pnf-4 in the night now you have to find the missing parts of the ship while you're looking for the parts you see something glowing in a cave as you enter you find glowing mushrooms as you explore you find the glowing Pikmin which can now help you see in the dark this can introduce night levels and new bosess and creatures that are afraid of the light this can let you enter new areas in the map
Maybe there can be electric eeles which only come out in the night you can many kill the eel then absorb it's energy.

I've never seen someone go so in-depth with their ideas and concepts, this was such a blast to watch! I also have an idea for a potential area for Pikmin 4 - a water level, like completely submerged. Movement would be overhauled as you could go in all directions although with the inference of needing to come back up every so often for energy/air, something of the sort. It gets me so giddy when I think of what kind of environments and enemies you could find in such a vast area, god I want a new Pikmin entry

So with pikmin, we've been traversing the main land, how about in the next game, they could do a section say in an a bay or ocean like area, where you can only use your blue pikmin, or you could land on a thicker cloud (pollution being the probable source on why you can land) where everything is lighter but you have to limit how many pikmin are out on the field, just some cool ideas

This was so creative! I love your idea for the new dynamic storyline. Having there be new zones and such, I could totally see slime Pikmin coming up in a swamp area or burrowing/potato Pikmin being formed in some sort of under ground caverny area. I cringed at the idea of having to work with Louie but definitely loved your suggestion of throwing an ankle bracelet on him; maybe he can only travel a short distance from the ship and perform menial tasks like Pikmin farming, gathering berries for sprays, or acting as a landing sight sentry. Great work!
When you mentioned cyborgian orange pikmin, I thought for sure you’d have them be magnetic. That could be an interesting puzzle dynamic in this mystery fourth game. Also, love the idea of the burrowing pikmin! Though the fact they can’t be eaten or crushed, and can carry items without rising from the ground is pretty OP. Perhaps a nerf for this guy would be that when they carry an object, they go laboriously slow. Anyway, great vid!

Not only are all of these ideas amazing, but you give these ideas a creative perspective with your drawings and pixel art! Now some suggestions I have for the pikmin you pitched was some weaknesses for them. Maybe mechanical pikmin would instantly get killed when touched by water, or would explode when near fire for longer periods of time, causing large damage to both pikmin and enemies alike, slime pikmin would do less damage due to their malleable structure, as well as attack slower since their stems would get stuck to the enemy, and burrowing pikmin would have a lower height when thrown (because why not), and would be weaker to water because of their life underground. Just some ideas I thought of, and once again, amazing video, really enjoyed it!

I have a weird concept:
Tribemin.
A sort of replacement for the Bulbmin from Pikmin 2, Tribemin are a subspecies of Pikmin that seem to have evolved to the point where they exhibit intelligence akin to that of early cave people. They are a mottled green-ish colour. They wield twigs and stones as weapons, wear leaves as clothes and bark as armour, and have been shown to work as a team even without a supposed leader, taking down endemic life far larger than themselves. However, they don't want anything to do with the captains at first; they'll chase them down and attack them unless they have an item know as the 'Sapling of Peace'. This strange plant released a pheromone that subdues aggravated Tribemin into a state where they can be recruited.
Tribemin are able to recognize major hazards like fire and electricity, and are able to survive in water (though they cannot dive), so they could be used to solve element based puzzles. They also have high attack power, but cannot grab onto enemies if they're holding a stick. They also cannot carry items for this same reason. To get them to drop their weapons, you just need to disperse the group.
This video is proof that talent and a work ethic can do most of any job. This guy used ms paint, and made an informative and entertaining video.

My Ideas:
Earth Pikmin (Green) - Is 10x stronger than other Pikmin when carrying fruit FRUIT ONLY, and cannot be killed by being squashed
Orange Pikmin - Turns into Nectar upon death, if it is carrying something to the Onion it only produces 1 Orange Pikmin
Power Pikmin (Cyan) The ultimate Pikmin - Has all the powers of the other Pikmin, it can die 5 times, and it's resistant to bombs.
My ideas for enemies:
Earth Skutterchuck - Looks like a Skutterchuck but brown and instead of throwing crystals, it throws peices of earth that buries Pikmin (except Earth Pikmin) to break down the earth you need the Earth Pikmin.
Tart Scoundrel - A monster that disguises itself as a Face Wrinkler, when you try to carry it it eats all the Pikmin trying to carry it but the Earth Pikmin can hold a Tart Scoundrel without it being disturbed. Instead of returning it to the ship, it returns it to the Onion. It creates Orange Pikmin when you bring it back to the Onion and the number you get varies from 1 - 3. It is unkillable.
Blue Bulborb - Has a considerably low chance of spawning instead of a Bulborb and makes twice the times more Pikmin.
Dwarf Blue Bulborb - Has an extremely low chance of spawning instead of a Dwarf Bulborb and makes a Power Pikmin.
Dwarf Whiptounge Bulborb - Is pretty much the Whiptonge Bulborb but smaller and the tounge has been shortened.
Fake Candypop Bud - Looks like the Candypop Bud and the colour is the same colour as the highest number of Pikmin you have. Say the highest number is yellow, it would be yellow. If you had equal amounts of Pikmin, say 25 yellows, 25 blues, 25 winged and 25 rocks it would turn the colour of the earliest Pikmin you find in the game, so that would be grey for rock. It eats Pikmin when they go into it and you can tell the real from the fake because the fake is slightly larger and darker.
Maybe the fake candypop could also have teeth on the inside of their petals and occasionally rustle.

My idea for a "sticky" Pikmin was for Orange. Have them covered in thorns so they're hard to shake off and can climb slippery slopes (which captains can now do because of cleats or etc). Have them do extra damage to soft, unarmored enemies like puffy blowhogs, meanwhile their partner Pikmin specializes in armored enemies.
Having watched some more of this video, perhaps those slime Pikmin could fit in. Maybe they're somehow corrosive and the goo hazard would deflower Pikmin, too. Complete opposite of nectar.

With your ideas alone you could probably run game company’s such as Nintendo out of business, but then there wouldn’t be anymore Pikmin.
I had a cool pikman type idea, feral pikmin, fluffy and clawed pikmin which are really strong at fighting and will attack anything hostile, even if it don't want them to, they deal 4 times the damage an are faster and even if they get shook of they will try to jump back on and keep attacking, thought they are very slow at carrying items, and can't use pellets

Here are some ideas of your three Pikmin types:
Robo / Metal / Mecha Pikmin: Can work in space and gains a power boost when interacting with electrical hazards / enemies. Can use scrap metal from ether fallen foes / friends / environment to produce half the normal amount of seeds. They can also create a small amount of metal to help power the Space Station and can assist in maintenance of it.
Slime Pikmin: They are not only resistant to poison but they also thrive in it. Beeing from a very toxic environment, they have also gained mutagenic properties. If an enemy eats then and some time passes upon your next visit to the area you may have a Bulbmin like creature waiting for you at the Landing site when you next touchdown.
Burrowing Pikmin: They can lay mines for grounded enemies to walk on and take damage from. Perhaps a slowing effect could be added as well. Perhaps they could allow for the creation of shortcuts?

I have an idea for the plot: the way David (the scientist) goes with the mayor is through a raffle thing where the mayor picks somebody to go to pnf-404.
The thought of scaling a skyline-breaching cliff in Pikmin and coming across a horrific winged mutation fills me with so much life.
Now all you need is the boss that connects to the pikmin 1 (golix) pikmin 2 (water rig) pikmin 3 (plasma wraith) because most people including me believe there all connected
Ps bring back bulbmin pls have a onion that's the shape of a bulborb that walks keep the bulbmin safe from sunset and they would have abilities like be safe from most enemies mostly bulborbs at the leaf stage they would roar to stun an enemy for 2 seconds at bud stage the stun last 5 seconds and they would be able to help carry objects because they are mostly a attack pikmin at flower stage their carrying power would double their attack would be more than the rock pikmin but less than the purple. The roar would be 13 seconds these pikmin would not carry bomb rocks the entrance and exit animation would be like the ship from pikmin 2 their roar would access certain areas that other Pikmin couldn't get to.also another idea is customizable space suits although in space suit would still share the same abilities like being able to wear the electrical suit from Pikmin 3 the fire resistant to from Pikmin 2 other things like that and a special bolbmin suit I'm only saying that because of the bolbmin I want in

Ice Pikmin - There could be an ice attack and they are invincible to that, dies quicker in fire and can freeze water to make bridges. Doesn’t slip on ice

I love the whole Pixel Art use to make most points. That right there was my favourite part.
Ok so I’m a month late, but I had some ideas of my own. I think the Pikmin franchise is amazing but my biggest complaint is how little innovation goes into each game. I think having the next Pikmin game taking place in places like coral reefs and the deep sea would be amazing. You would also occasionally travel onto small islands where you would use Pikmin from previous games. The water Pikmin would play a huge role in this game as it’s the most one trick pony Pikmin in the previous games. There would be new water breathing Pikmin but in order to keep blue Pikmin usable they would be given a underwater speed-boost or higher attack against water enemies. Or another idea (reply your ideas). The new Pikmin would be a green seaweed Pikmin that has seaweed on its head instead of a flower. It can use its seaweed to have other Pikmin climb it like a stick in the previous games to get up higher. It can also help with some enemies that are to high up. Another Pikmin idea would be the orange coral Pikmin. This Pikmin would have coral instead of a flower and would attract enemies if you throw it. The enemy would leave all other Pikmin alone while it would chase after the coral Pikmin. To help it survive the coral Pikmin would be able to dig itself into the ground if you whistle at it while it’s running away. However this will also make the enemy focus back onto you. You would have to decide if it’s worth saving the life of it or if it’s better of escaping while it dies. They would be a little bit hard to come by as they can be huge in a pinch and they can’t use enemy bodies to reproduce, only rare orange pellets. There would also be a new mode where you need to drive a submarine to escape huge sea monsters. This would be a mini game on the main menu as well as in parts of the story. Well, that’s all my creativity. Anybody else have any ideas.
Also for anyone wondering there would be no swimming in this game. Implementing swimming would be very difficult especially for a Pikmin game and in my opinion would remove some of the games charm. The characters would just be walking on the seafloor like how past games did rivers and ponds.
I do have some Pikmin type ideas my self, here you go.
Lava Pikmin: This type looks like a black charred Pikmin with cracks of lava flowing through it and a volcano on its head and this type is immune to lave and fire but die faster to water than other types and their black charred body acts as an explosion shield where it's immune to an explosion but after that it loses it armor where it looks like a lava blob where it can't catch frostbite and it instantly dies to water. It has a 3x attack power but attacks 3 times slower than other types meaning it deals the same DPS as most other types but it can use the volcano on its head to erupt and damage enemies around it but can kill your own Pikmin. So this type is a high risk high reward type.
Mud Pikmin: This type looks like a brown blob with a Pikmin face and a flower on it's head, it can walk across mud and can spit mud as an attack that can put out fires and bring fliers down to earth. They can also store bombs or icy blasts inside them to launch out later for more damage. Lastly on bottomless swamps if you throw some Mud Pikmin into it, up to 5 Mud Pikmin can merge into a bigger Mud Pikmin which is as strong as 10 Pikmin when carrying and in combat but after a while it will disband launching the mud Pikmin in all directions. Also when they come in contact with fire they turn into dirt where you can turn them back by whistling or spraying water on them.
Slime Pikmin: This type looks like a green Pikmin with light green spots around it's body and has dark green eyes. It's body is really sticky and is hard to shake off. Like Mud Pikmin they can store bombs inside them as a ranged attack and can merge with 4 other Slime Pikmin, but their bomb throw has more range with and damage but a smaller explosion. Their bodies are extremely stretchy meaning they can grab onto rocks to make a barrier or a slingshot to launch the boulders in Pikmin 3 or launch enemies attacks back at them.
Light Pikmin: This type has a black body with yellow eyes. They are immune to the hazard gloom which is what the Smokey Progg emits. The flower on their head also emits light but each stage acts differently, leaves acts as a spotlight shining light like a beam, buds act like lamps lighting the area around them and flowers have a lightbulb on their head lighting the area around them like buds but can temporarily light up entire caves. They're also useful in combat as they can blind enemies with bright lights. So basically, its a walking flashbang.
Drill Pikmin: This type has an tangerine body with small squinted eyes and claws. They're claws makes them excellent diggers having 5x digging speed along with giving them 1.2x attack power and can make shortcuts by digging tunnels back to base but can only dig on soft materials like dirt and sand. They can also do a drill attack doubling their digging speed and can drill into enemies dealing big damage but are highly inaccurate because of their eyes. They can also dig underground when left behind at sunset being sprouts to pluck next morning.
Blade Pikmin: This type has a steel gray body and two blades for hands. They can be used to cut webs arachnorbs make and makes them easier to fight. They're also powerful fighters having 5x attack power but aren't very useful when carrying as they can accidently slice spice berries when carrying them or even cut spicy berry plants making it so you can't harvest berries from it for the rest of the day, they also move 3x as slow when carrying stuff and have a 50% of dropping items they're carrying.
Nature Pikmin: This type has a brown body with green leaves on its body. They're immune to pollen which causes your Pikmin to react like they would with fire. They can also control plants which can help them carry stuff or in combat, and can also release spores that can stun enemies, put them to sleep or even temporarily hypnotize any non boss.
Tree Pikmin: This type has a brown body with a wooden texture with , as a leaf they don't have any defining traits except being as strong as 5 Pikmin, but when they consume nectar, instead of going strait to a flower, they go to to a sapling [Which is a bud for them] which not only makes them twice as big, they deal double damage and have the strength of 10 Pikmin and when they consume 2 full drops of nectar, they become a tree [Which is a flowered Tree Pikmin] where it 5 times the size of a normal Pikmin with triple damage and 25 carrying strength. They're only weakness is fire and poison as they die really easy to it even if you save them they revert back to a leaf.
Spring Pikmin: This type has a dark orange body but instead of having two legs, it has one spring and a spring with a flower on it's head. Meaning after it's thrown it can ricochet off surfaces reaching items no other type can reach and bounce twice as high on bouncy mushrooms. Although they're great at reaching items that require a puzzle, they struggle at grabbing items anywhere else because they bounce off anything, which does deal impact damage meaning when fighting a creature in an enclosed area, it would be more fun and efficient with Spring Pikmin. They can also do an AOE attack where it flails around it's spring flower deal damage to anything unlucky enough to be in the blast zone and it can knock back or even kill enemy Pikmin or captains in versus lastly if a creature tries to squish a spring Pikmin, if there's enough spring Pikmin in the squish zone where it can carry the corpse of said enemy like a Wollywog trying to crush 5 spring Pikmin, it'll bounce off, and creatures without a corpse like Beady Long Legs take 50 Spring Pikmin to bounce off of.
Gliding Pikmin: This type has has a light brown body with gliding wings on each of it's arms allowing it to glide through the sky. Although wings may be better in flight, gliding Pikmin have a better time flying in windy areas, are faster in the air and are immune to wind attacks as they can use the wind to fly up to a enemy and attack it. They can also glide when carrying items only if it's being carried by only Gliding Pikmin.
Ant Pikmin: This type has a beige coloured body, with 4 arms, 2 legs, a thorax, an abdomen, two antenna one holding the flower and a pair of mandibles. This type can climb up walls and count as 2 Pikmin when carrying. They can also sting and shoot acid to stun creatures. They can also communicate with ant like enemies to help attack or carry which could make for a fun boss.
Portal Pikmin: This type has a light blue. They can make shortcuts by making portals back to base or reach inaccessible areas. When shaken off, they have a chance to summon a portal below them right before they land and above the creature that shook them off to latch back onto them.

I love the tame Enemy's idea there could be a froot that tames an enemy but you would need a serten amount of ship upgrades.

the goo pikmin seems like an interesting idea! you could have them make the enemy stick to the ground when stepped on, ''paralyzing'' them for a short time! You would still lose the pikmin, but at least it would redeem it's death. And white pikmins wouldn't be the only ones that can potentially hinder enemies when they die!
I love the orange cyborg pikmin idea! It would also make sense in the game because man-at-legs exists
The slime pikmin is literally one of the best pikmjn ideas I've ever heard, and robot and burrow pikmin are pretty cool too

How To Defeat:When It Opens It Jaw, You Will Have To Sacrifice 3 Pikmin Carrying Bomb Rocks Inside. You Will Then Need To Get It To Step On 2 Bomb Rocks, Before It Is Weakened, Allowing Pikmin To Damage It Better. Once It Gets Back Up From This State, However, All The Pikmin Will Get A Random Element Inflicted Onto Them.
this makes me think of some old pikmin type ideas i had forever ago
root (or orange or something) pikmin: they are orange-light brown and their limbs resemble woody tree roots. their almost claw like limbs allow them to climb up vertical surfaces (a new game mechanic there) and cling to enemies much more reliably (like when an enemy shakes pikmin off, 70% chance they'll cling on when other types would fall off every time). if not called root pikmin or orange pikmin, stickmin, if you'll excuse the pun, bc they are woody like a stick and bc they stick to enemies and the walls when climbing).
light pikmin/shining pikmin: theyd be teal-green with yellow-white glowing eyes, and have orange-yellow flowers that light up dark areas; a decent glow when in the squad, but a brighter glow when used in the swarm maneuver, as well as when they're not under command (like how regular ones have a little glow around their flower, but these have a big glow) so that they can be thrown strategically to serve as little lampposts, with some kind of adjustment to make them less easy to accidentally call back into the group. they'd be a scarcer type, like whites and purples in pikmin 2.
Alternatively to a dedicated glowing type, a pikmin enhancing spray that causes pikmin to grow glowing mushroom caps instead of flowers for a period of time (riffing off the puffstool enemy from pikmin 1 and the glowcap mushrooms from the whole series)
parasitic pikmin: this is in the series already as bulbmin, but for this they'd be different, appearing before they attach to the host. they'd be a bright acid green color with beady black eyes, little feeler roots around the mouth area, and also somewhat spindly fingers and toes, (in pikmin 2 it says they extend their root like limbs into the hosts nervous system to take control, for which they would have especially spindly limbs). they'd be a scarcer type like whites and purples (prob coming from candypop buds) but even less common than those, bc of how they'd be used. i imagine something like this: you can throw them onto a creature (or maybe they must be eaten), and they'll burrow in and take control of it and allow you to use it to fight other creatures. as a needed downside, maybe they wouldn't be able to seperate from the host, and have to be left behind (either it can't go to the next floor in a cave or it won't return to its onion/the ship/etc to be used the next day), or maybe the parasite can only maintain control for so long, after a time dying inside the host (providing a time limit downside). don't know how that fits in with a no deaths run :/ but either way, more of a special occasion type thing like spicy spray, rather than an everyday mechanic.

Well, Making a video game with that much effort and graphics and mechanics is probably pretty hard. Also making more options, Makin sure not to put in to much graphics in case the Nintendo switch can't take it. You get it. They want everyone to be happy but it take a while to do it.

Olimar was going to pnf 404 for money but his ship was metal and their was a very strong magnet so it broke and fail and he had to find 28 ship parts cause some of the parts fell next to ollimar but he also had to find his ship and he had 27 days to live or else he would die
I also thought of some pikmin ideas rainbow pikmin they have th power of blue red white yellow and winged pikmin
And dirt pikmin they can hide underground and go to the other side of walls to get stuff from the other side and come back with it
I actually have a good story and ideas for pikmin 4 and I will say this: when I work for Nintendo and they accept my ideas, pikmin will never be the same, but let me know if you'd like to hear it

You really made a great idea for Pikmin 4 while having that Pikmin feeling. I really like this idea! I hope Nintendo switches a few parts, not the mechanics! But some little details so it's not spoiled by the video. Since if they copied everything then the video would spoil most if the game. But I really like the idea and keeps the Pikmin feeling.

I really love the brown and robot pikmin! The slime pikmin less so, but still cool! I thought a green pikmin could be more plant-like, like a Venus flytrap, rose or something.
