Hi! My name is Philip and one of the people behind Lufolk. I have always been interested in the simple things in life. When I look back on history I get inspired and fascinated by the people who came up with all the smart solutions to make our everyday life easier. Thank you for your time and posting of your smithing. I retired to Kentucky, USA from the Lake Michigan area of Indiana. My great grandfathers came from Norway and Denmark. One was a blacksmith. Common story. My career was as a structural Ironworker erecting the steel portion of buildings, placing reinforcing steel in concrete, heavy machinery lifts with cranes and fabrication of the above and stairways and handrails. I learn to hone and redirect my knowledge and skills to an enjoyable use of prior skills into a new visual product thanks to videos such as yours. I feel a kinship to my great grandfather through the fire and your poetic comments in the is touched my heartstrings that connect my back through time to him. 💕🧙🏻‍♂️

Thank you! I filed grooves in the outer ring and just wrapped the center bar around the outer ring, in the groove, to hold it in place
