Can we get updated videos on this engine too? As far as dyno and how long it lasts? I always hear people say stroker motor for our cars aren't really reliable

This is my motor and I just got it in this week. It’s going into my 2012 Evo X and I plan on taking some videos of the install, dyno, etc. It’s being installed at RAV Performance (link to shop TH-cam below)

Hope to have it running before Christmas! Stay tuned!!!

@@dabearsgomez Your right about them being so back up they just got back and say the motor ready, but now there’s a issue the aluminum valve cover that came with the motor when it is dropped off now it’s plastic valve on the new built motor just blow my mind that it was misplaced on this video it looks organized this is not what I expect from ams Now im not even sure if that motor is the same motor i gave them

Hypothetically, I have a 4B12 which is the stock motor 2.4, would I have to get it bored out to a 2.8l to safely make boost? Because it’s one of the safer options for the lancers, getting a “evo” motor or do I just jump on the k20 bandwagon

How do you guys tackle the exhaust mivec situation with running aggressive cams paired with aftermarket valve springs? I asked because I see the oem mivec gear installed.

    • @dsmtsi

I was thinking the same thing. Normally you have to delete the mivec on the exhaust side.

Ummm, I’m super confused, I don’t mean to talk *hit but, How come you claim to use a girdle when all we see are traditional 4-bolt steal main caps. There is a “girdle” of sorts but it does not seem to tie all the main caps together, provide torsional strength and I can’t even see how it’s bolted to the block at all.

    • @blaqjac21

4b11 come from the factory with a girdle . it bolts to the block directly and has the oil filter housing built into it
