What would be the sequence of mRNA, transcribed from the DNA segment: 5'-ACGTCA-3'?

Thank you so much. My Kaplan book for the MCAT doesn't state that if a random DNA sequence is given to assume the 5 to 3 prime orientation. Just says what is the mRNA code for GAT without giving you any orientation of frame. Thanks again!!

i thought the template strands run in the 3' to 5' direction?

This would be much easier to understand if you went from Sense to antisense to mRNA to Amino Acids coded for by mRNA and final Amino Acids in final protein chain. If you are going to do a tutorial, it should be COMPLETE protein synthesis.

it took me an hour to find someone to explain this to me. EXCELLENT
