What I liked was that all the screws were the same diameter and length. No glue needed and really nicely illustrated instructions. The special tools to get the timing coordinated was cool. Cam runs lifters, lifters open and close the valves and the spark fires at the top of the compression stroke. Real working model. Very educational.
I changed the timing so the engine spark would happen when most pistons were well away of the valves. Why?. More red-light flash in the cylinders for optimal visual effect. 99 people out of 100 will never notice or care. As long as the builder understands the difference no harm done.
I wish I’d had one of these to tinker with before setting out to pull and rebuild my 1977 Targa’s engine a few years ago. My automotive expertise to that point was changing plugs; but after the quote from shops to rebuilt it I decided to give it a go myself. Wasn’t bad and I learned a lot about boxster engines. Best part is it actually ran once put everything back together.
Honestly that was the most dramatic unboxing I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. He needs to replace the razor in his knife. As a huge Porsche fan, especially the 911 which I’ve had three, now I drive the Cayenne Turbo, this is definitely something I need for the office. I love these videos with no talking. There’s a guy who builds a log cabin from felling the trees, scraping, cutting, stacking,.... and not a word is said. He even sits with his dog eating lunch and there’s no words spoken.
Like i've said before, this is like watching your vids ASMR style, very satisfying and fun to watch, no talking and just awesome to watch. love all your vids!
Betting this build procedure closely follows the assembly line. As a teenager, I built HealthKits; a vhf radio, a stereo receiver and a turn table and remarkably, they worked! Thinking this will be a fun retirement project.
Can these small scale engines actually be used in R/C cars? I watched a 4-stroke build that brought me here, and it didn't seem like it would put out much power, and throttle response was a bit slow. He noted that it ran much better after a bit of tuning--I wish he'd included that in the vide.
Nice build video - thank you. After I built mine I had to go into the base and disconnect the speaker. That generic ‘engine’ noise sounded nothing like a Porsche and was just awful.
Great looking model and looks like fun to put together. One thing I think I noticed. When you set up the cam belts I think you may have put the belt on the wrong side of the idler pulley. Unless that what the instructions said to do but I've never seen a flat faces idler pulley running on the teeth side of the cam belt before.
I Love these Videos, I really like the Amplfied Sound Effects. I do not need to even open the Instruction Book as he does it Perfectly and Better here in the Video.
at 8:00 you put two Chrome pillar, do not know why I can not locate these in my package, if I do not install these pillars will that affect much the function? worry to spoil this expensive toy as the gift from my sister!

They have a crankshaft which is shaped like a wave. Then piston on either side to fire the thrust on the wave. Something like wave riding by water board skating. Then they have other attachments like filling the fuel required at each stroke opening and closing. Then firing sequence. Triggers do exact time sequence for propagation. Attachments to gearboxes for tyres with conveyor. And cooling fan Etc. About 200 parts including nuts and bolts. About 8000 crackers a minute. Light around three million by 90 per second. That's why thunder gives noise. Light moves breaking bonds. About power 23.
I may be wrong but, are you sure you put those timing belts correctly on the tensioners? I saw you put them outside and I think that they should be inside... Excuse me if I said it wrong but, I believe I didn't... Wonderful model! Greetings from Brazil.
Boa tarde!!

Would love if there were a series of kits of famous engines like this.
The Porsche 917 engine
The Cosworth DFV
The Rolls Royce Merlin.
Why not the 427 or the 935 k3 motor?
lamborghini gallardo
These engine models would be awesome to put in a power wheels, be a great way to teach children about engines and engine maintenance
All his videos are so satisfying 😍

I don't understand why are there so many dislikes on the video ? Great Content !
Probably the dubbed audio at the end idk. Its a super cool video
Bit of a anticlimax ! Story of my life 😂🤪

I was thinking the same thing but it wouldn't fit the other way.
You said it!
Nice video, and a nice kit that comes with a Porsche price tag :-(
Unfortunately he was found dead with his organs missing
Its not so pricey really... Porsche 547 engine model costs only 250€...
I Love😍👍👍
Very informative thanks

It will be nice if made of aluminum! Enjoy ☀️

Not bad, I’ve never been big on boxer engines, but this is pretty cool.
so funy sound🤣
Now someone has to come up with a 1:4 scale 911 to mount this
Wanted to hear the real sound o that plastic piece :( Pretty nice video anyway
That WAS the real sound that came from the sound module.
My oil cooler was all black!

I like it 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
What's cool about this model is that most of the parts will interchange with the real car
WOW I LOVE IT ILOVE MICANIQUE
This engine sounds better than the actual engine lol

I was thinking the same thing, thats why i went in the comments to see if someone noticed. The tensioners has to be on the outside not in..
