- Republic of Korea Army has green lit the mass production & fielding of Raybolt (Hyeongung; 현궁) medium-range fire & forget anti-tank guided missile. Raybolt is a domestically-develope weapon system that is equipped with an IR seeker, tandem warhead, and direct & top attack modes. It has a range of 3 km (1.8 mi)
Raybolt was developed to modernize South Korea's aging anti-tank arsenal, which includes 90mm & 106mm recoilless rifles, TOW, and METIS-M anti-tank missiles.
Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) claims Raybolt is smaller, lighter, and cheaper than similar foreign weapon systems all the while being more effective.

Nice...for the weapon to be truly effective against a large number of tanks you need to have a carrier with a large number of rockets and the ability to target the tanks from a drone or UAV so to get at targets BWR... but well done Korea.

Why does it explode before hitting the target?
GeneralTan Current atgms have two warhead, one in forward is for penetraion and second one is for destruction. Penetration warhead should explode immediately before impact, or as soon as shell touches the target. It would look like it exploded before collision
Not really...the Tandem Warhead design is used to defeat armor with Explosive Reactive Tiles which is effective in stopping conventional HEAT warheads..its mode of action is the first warheads detonates the ERA tiles before penetrating the main armor..
It only looks that way,the Explosion is what you see as the Weapon punches threw the Hull of the Tank its aimed at!! What you are seeing is the Flames of the Weapon's Inpact,your Eyes just cant see the Mill-Seconds just before the Explosion or the Actual Damage Caused by the Missle just after the Explosion!!! The Flames from the Warhead Obscure your Line of Sight or NLOS Non Line of Sight just Depends on the Angle and the Distance from which you view the Launch and Downrange Explosion??? Cheers

저렇게 큰 미사일이 발사하는데 어떻게 반동이 없을 수 있지? 신기하다. 다른 나라에서 대전차 미사일 쏘는 것을 봤는데 그건 빨간 레이저로 표적을 정하자 미사일이 뺑글 뺑글 도는 궤적을 그리며 결국 목표물을 맞추던데...현궁은 그런 기능이 없는가?
그건 구식임.. 사람이 끝까지 유도해야 하므로, 미사일 날아오는 동안 조준하는 사람 쪽으로 마구 포 쏴대면 조준자가 불안해서 조준 실패하는 경우가 많음.. 반명 현궁은 조준, 발사후 바로 도망가도 현궁이 스스로 알아서 명중..
그리고 뒤가 뚫려 있으 므로 반동 없음.. 2차 대전 때 무반동포부터 rpg 7 등등... 뒤가 완전히 막혀 있으면 대포임..
발사시는 압축가스로 나가고 나간뒤에 공중에서 마사일이 발사되는방식

현대전 개념에 누가 보고 쏩니까? 되도록 최대한 안 보이는 상황에서 쏘고 그 자리를 벗어나는게 현대전이죠. 항공전을 보면 알 수 있듯이.
드론 연동하면 충분히 락온 가능하구요. 요즘 대대급부터 시작해서 군단급 까지 드론 운용 중 이죠? 그걸 그냥 감시용으로만 쓸게 아니라 무기랑 연계하는게 추세잖아요?
그러면 25Km는 충분히 되죠. 25Km가 굉장히 먼것 처럼 이야기 하시는데, 현대 자주포 사거리(30~50Km) 이내 입니다. 어떻게든 선제 타격해서 아군 피해를 최소화 해야죠.
그리고 전쟁에 비용 문제는 언급 안 하는게 맞아요. 미국은 미쳤다고 천문학적 비용들여가며, 무기 개발하고 운용합니까?
추가로 K2 전차 한대가 비쌀까요? 24Km짜리 미사일 한 발이 비쌀까요? 적 자주포에 K2 전차나 아군이 타격을 받을경우 피해 비용도 계산해야지요. 적 탱크 가격만 생각할게 아니라.

대대나 사단의 작전 반경을 고려해볼 때 충분히 고려해볼 만한 가치가 있다고 판단됩니다.
보병대전차무기 현궁에 대형 장거리 정밀 타격 미사일 스펙을 바라시네.. 미군에 그 유명한 헬파이어도 7킬로 남짓인데
애초에 대전차미사일은 기동표적을 맞춰야하는데 사거리가 길면 그만큼 맞추기도 힘들어지니 사거리 제한 시키는겁니다 명중률도 떨어지고 비효율적이니

South Korea is a user of SPIKE-NLOS missiles. Part of the procurement process was technology transfer from israel.
We never used JAVELINE so that's impossible we used technologie gained from METIS-M (Russia) and SPIKE-NLOS (Israel)
