An all-terrain tank, especially optimized for mountainous terrain. 70% of korea land is mountainous.

The advantage of Korean weapons is that they work well regardless of summer or winter seasons and mountainous terrain.
That's right. The climate in Korea is over 35 degrees Celsius when it's hot and close to minus 20 degrees Celsius when it's cold. It worked well in that climate without any problems. I guarantee you because I served as a K2 tank crew.

The K2 is a tank designed for all-out war. That's why it's made for good value for money. Unlike those tanks for fighting small rebel guerrillas.
and they're still purchased due to such combat reputation. The K2 might be built of studies, but is it really capable in those situations like the M1, C1&2, Leopard 2, Merkva and T-72-90.

I'm a former Korean soldier who personally controlled the K2 MBT shown here. I think it is one of the good weapons, not because it is our country. I hope this weapon will not be a weapon that calls for war, but a weapon to deter war! Poland, fighting!
Personally, I don't think there is any MBT that can deal with K2 MBT among the communist camp's MBT. I'm a person who has played against the North Korean army.
The K2 tank is designed to withstand the harsh climate of the Korean peninsula and is a very good MBT that is practical in a large area.
It is a step above the T-90 and the old Leopard 2 in terms of specifications and price, and will be the first choice to replace the old tanks in the future.
Another big advantage of this tank is that it can be exported relatively freely and counted as a fighting force.

One of the best main battle tanks in the world thus far. It can easily cross over waterways, penetrate 800mm of armor & can fire precision round up to 5 miles away. Costs 8million per tank is the only downside due to tech.

During Leopard 2 and K2 Black Panther test in Norway, K2 tank with S Korean tungsten round was able to penetrate 800mm armor compare to 630mm armor with German tungsten round for Leopard 2. This is kinetic energy penetration thus K2 will be able to penetrate new Russian T90 with Kontackt 5 reactive armor with 800mm kinetic armor protection from over 2km away.

Correction, the North Korean Pokpung-Ho is a mixture of a T-72 & a Chinese Type-85. So they somewhat have T-72's.
But still, these are some severely outdated tanks that's been frankenstein together. I doubt they'll even survive against South Korea's K1-88 tanks. Let alone a K2 Black Panther.

U mean the type 10 is cute compared to the K-2. Type 10 is classified as a light tank when compared to a K-2. They put a weight limit on the type 10 when designing it so the armour is purposefully scaled down.
Also the k-2's tracks dont fall off during demos like the type 10. ;)

My grandma is from Busan. I am glad to know her homeland is safe and protected by the South Korean millitary and it's allies.. Foreign volunteer fighters in Ukraine are complaining that they never see Russian soldiers just Russian shelling from their artillery killing from far distance. S Korea is equipped with 3000 SP artillery (K9, K55 and K105HT), 5000 105/155mm towed artillery, 6000 60/81/107/120mm mortars and 570 MRL(360 K239, 58 M270 and 156 K136) seating on 12 million rounds (during WW2, total of 11 million rounds were used) enough to deal with Chinese army :)-
