I miss regular pumps: stable, not so high, and great for all-day corporate wear. Balancing on stiletto heels is like balancing on a pencil. However, they do make great weapons in a pinch. I guess, it evolved for security purposes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I miss my Vibrams, they were the only shoe I've ever bought that fit, and when your someone like me that has to not wear shoes a lot since none fit my feet then finding a shoe that fits is the best thing in the world, and I mean this instead of going to a pediatrist and it ends up costing you 1K for a pair of shoes. I wish I could find a place that sells them again, you have to try them on since each model fits so different. So online it's hard to know what size is going to fit.

its really sad she literally has a vid about "unnecessary" body parts where pinky toes are useless etc. while she forgets to mention the sheer amount of feet trauma that were induced singlehandedly by deleting that same pinkie's natural balance function throughout later footwear industry "choices" made solely for looks purpose ///// hate to be that guy tho buuuut, i myself had and currently have certain issues so that is twice as painful to see
and so it goes on, even those that position themselves as somewhat anatomy-biologists (not necessarily in her case as she haven't said anything as far as i am aware, still that is axiom to assume someone who speaks this way on certain subject as if person knows it... actually knows what he/she is talking about ESPECIALLY as influencer, being that bears responsibility on terms of information it publishes after all) whatever
they simply, intentionally or not, talk absolute bsht nonsense while unaware of true consequences and circumstances for the subject appearance to begin with and end up only reinforcing wrong beliefs in society

"natural" can mean three different things.
It can mean wild, the opposite of artificial.
It can mean a part of creation, the opposite of supernatural.
And it can mean good and wholesome, the opposite of unnatural.
You pretty much always know which one someone means based on context clues, so you really shouldn't say "well, e exists outside, therefore unnatural things are actually good!" Because that's conflating different ideas. Even if the words for these two ideas are spelled and pronounced the same

Sandals are the oldest kind of footwear going all the way back to Paleo times. Out here in the Americas almost every tribe in the southwest had there own design of yucca sandal. You can actually tell what tribe someone belongs to in the Americas just by looking at there sandals or moccasin's.

    My take away is
Shoes have a very intricate and fascinating history. Starting off as a utilitarian necessity and then becoming a fashion accessory to distinguish social classes.
Shoe classism still exists to this day due to its deep cultural history.
Toes disappeared after the Roman empire became Christian for about a thousand years.
And pointer shoes the better. Also the first sport shoes were made by converse.
