This season had so many sideplots that weren't in the book, and with it only being 8 episodes I feel like we didn't get enough Polin screentime, especially Colin. I feel like he was a side character in his own season 🥲🥲🥲🥲.
Loved the sex scene it felt so intimate and real. It wa awkward and cute at the same time. So good!😭
I think pen needs to tell Colin. I think unlike Marina she actually wants to tell him. But it’s valid that she is afraid. She actually loves Colin & this rlsp is literally 24hours old and they are engaged. It’s been a whirlwind for her. And when Eloise found out who she was she lost Eloise so I can fully understand why she’s terrified to tell Colin bc she knows she may lose him.
Eloise choosing to make snarky comments, make threats & put a time limit on it the night of her engagement party is a bit much. She could have told her to do it the next day and let them have the night. It’s like she wanted to spite pen without thinking she would hurt and embarrass Colin in the process.
I love the Cressida plot. I think it’s actually handled even better in the show than the book bc we see her back story, her home life and just how desperate she is bc she hasn’t made a match. Pen used whistledown to have a voice bc she felt so unseen. Cressida is trying to use it to protect herself from being sold into a horrible match. I think the plot line really highlights the lack of control, options and power women had in that time.

Am I the only one who thinks that this love scene was super awkward to watch? Sorry, but these two have no chemistry on screen at all. They worked well as friends for me, but not as a couple at all. And usually, I have no problem with well done love scenes. But everything about this scene feels so choreographed.
This felt like the least choreographed love scene in the entire series. It was sweet, intimate, awkward and real. The other scenes are so stylised to the point of disbelief. There's nothing better than falling in love with your best friend and awkwardly working your way towards the intimacy that entails.
