  • Changing your grip to continental is one of the most difficult things to do if you're in a habit of playing with a different grip!
    So many players don't even realise they're moving the grip during the shot...that's when you know as a coach you are working with a long term habit!
    Here we give some useful exercises on how to hit with pronation because when you understand the wrist movement controls the racket head you can learn to hit sidespin on the ball!
    Want some inspiration on how to train, here are our training vlogs: • Playlist

    It´s been a while since I´ve checked the channel, I´m glad you´re still doing training style vlogs! Seeing somebody making the same mistakes as yourself and then seeing them improve makes it very relatable! I would enjoy seeing a vlog like this for the top spin smash, since it´s a shot I struggle with quite a bit!

      It is a common mistake and hope this helps people! Good suggestion with the topspin...on the list :)

    Are you supposed to pronate your wrist while hitting the vibora and bandeja, to keep a more flat racket?

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bandeja pronate slightly, less for the vibora. Its important to teach pronation when changing grips so the player understands that the racket face is controlled with wrist movements (not moving the hand on the grip)

      @@ThePadelSchool All right, I see! Thank you for the quick answer. Never really thought about pronating the wrist at all. Definately gonna try this for improvement in my game! Keep up the good videos Sandy!

    Hey Sandy! great videos as always, one question regarding the monthly membership:
    Does it include all courses online? e.g. 6 steps to learn the bandeja

    Did you make any change to her overgrip size? It seems very large for her hand size? I know it isn't a be all but (as I'm sure you know) having an overly open grip prevents wrists pronation

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did check, but felt the grip wasn't too big. Some players like a thicker grip and that was not what was causing the grip change.

    Hi sandy yesterday i played a casual padel match and i noticed that i was put in the fridge throughout the whole game my teammate is right handed and he plays on the left side of the court and he doesn’t lob the opponent’s whenever they are in net and that causes even more pressure and whenever he does get the lob he doesn’t push up the court with me since it’s easier for him to smash the ball because he is right handed whenever i tell him he brushes it off saying you don’t need to worry about it. When he does get the lob he stays back they play the ball to him that causes me to just stay back of the court and the cycle repeats. (I’m right handed aswell)

    • @Zaabi1
      @Zaabi1 ปีที่แล้ว

      And whenever i tell him to let me play left side he refuses. I’m sorry i was so frustrated typing this that i forgot the question. What should i do about him?

    I find it's a lot easier to do the bandeja/vibora with the Eastern Backhand grip... Kind of a more natural brush

    • @liuete
      @liuete ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah but i guess the goal here is first to get used to continental in every shot and when you are comfy with it, start to change to better grips while u play, but when starting you should simplify and use continental for everything

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you and David are right. Important to learn to hit with continental first. But interestingly you don't put the grip into eastern as much on the right side, because you are not always going for alot of sidespin...
