The Saddleback Leather Messenger Backpack: The Full Nick Shabazz Review

Today, we'll take a look at a very nice pack from Saddleback Leather, the Messenger backpack, which is a bit oddly sized, but mostly pretty well done.

the edges cant be burnished. being its chrome tanned leather and not veg tan. This is a cheaper and much faster process to tan leather. theres pros and cons to each. but overall Veg tan is more expensive and have more options in finishing. Like wet molding, stamping, carving, burnishing, hardening to name a few. The support piece in the inside where they attach the straps is veg tag. because it requires a stiffer tough piece of material.

I am not sure they knew what they wanted to do with it, other than make your typical Saddleback briefcase into a small backpack. Unfortunately it still has all their issues of being too small for one task and way too big for any other, the lack of internal organisation, and the way too thick leather and mounting D rings just put far more weight into it than it needs. It seems to me they are really going for that 1910s, 1920s adventure look.
I do wish we have more leather options for bags, but really for my role, a briefcase works far more better and when I am meeting with customers. those straps would destroy my suit and blazer jackets quicker than anything else.

I was going through a computer bag about every 9 months. Lost of travel involved and two or three laptops. The weight I was putting in the bags was just tearing them apart. I bought the Saddleback briefcase 7 years ago and it is still going strong and looks great. My previous computer bags had more bells and whistles but the Saddleback bag could stand up to the loads I needed to carry. I did a similar things for organization like you did. I would like a cover flap for the external pockets.

What I have been looking for. I am an attorney that no longer carries files. I carry an IPad Pro and MacBook Pro, a few pens which go on the side pockets, business cards, and some wireless earphones. There is a secret pocket in the very bottom. This is the perfect size, not too big. And not too small.

Nick Shabazz says, "This (the backpack) I feel like would actually be pretty hard to kill on a regular basis ... Well, I mean, it's already leather." (Meaning: it was a living animal, and now it's dead. And you can't KILL something that is already dead.) Just hilarious! Not that killing animals is a funny thing. It looks like a fake seriously Every piece of leather on this bag looks half the thickness of my older messenger bag from saddleback, the handle looks way cheaper too, the straps are thin and the D rings are even smaller .. What the hell has happened to saddleback??
