    Whats up fight fans! We had huge issues with this video, turns out all of Steven Seagals fight scenes have strict copyright©️ rules and this video will only be 27% viewable! Absolute bullshit! The original media used for this reaction is from a random channel with only 4k subs but has 1.6milliom views over 3 years, but our version gets banned in 73% of the world?

Where as their is not a single piece of footage from Dux in the 70's , showing anything . Not saying Seagal is an angel by any means . Hi guys like your channel . I'll tell you what I know about Steven Seagal. I was his fight double a few times for Steven. To me he was a nice guy, he is a big man he stands at 6'4" weighting in at well over 330lbs. He keeps to him self does not talk much to anyone. I have studied martial arts all my life and I have worked in some very tough bars. So I know a thing or two about fighting. Aikido does have it's place in fighting and it does work at the right time. It was very handy when working in bars because of the wrist locks I used to use them all the time. Aikido is also good at dealing with multiple attackers,because of the movement and locks and throws. There is lots of talk about Steven not being a real Aikido man and that he does not know how to fight. Well that all Bull Shit. He is pretty good at Aikido he knows his stuff. If he gets his hands on you, you will have your hands full. I've seen him in action and have been told by other stuntmen that his hits are very hard and his front kick is like a mule kicking you. I wouldn't know because I was him. He does Not do any of his stunts,...No Way !! He only goes on site when he has too do dialog,master shots or close-ups. He does his own fight stuff but he will only do it once Maybe twice,that where the stunt guy does the rest. Doing a fight scene you have to do it over and over and over again. But like I said Steven will only do it once most of the time that why they cut the shit out of the fights so you can't see it's not him. He has a stand-inn/photo double who does most of the work for him and if it's not the stand-inn/photo double it's his stunt double. He is very well known for hurting actors and stunt man by breaking teeth,backs,arms, legs smashing the Actor or stuntman into things that are not site for the stunt. ALL kinds of things. Anyways keep the videos come. Thanks.

      That fight doesn't just go on forever. It gets more and more brutal. I actually had the pleasure to meet Roddy Piper before he died. We talked for about five minutes and one of my questions was about the movie They Live. He remembered that he, Keith David and John Carpenter really worked hard on that scene more than any other scene in the movie. Still accidents did happen during the fight Keith and Roddy did hit each other a couple of times. Afterwards Keith and I were and still are very good friends. Roddy Piper will always be to me one of greatest wrestlers of all time.

    Steven Seagal is not in the top 100 martial arts actors? The bald guy is under drugs I think. Steven Seagal revolutionized the martial arts for the screen in the late 80s. His martial arts at the beginning was realistic as hell (street fight techniques in "Above the Law). The bald guy said that Scott Adkins and Jason Statham are much better. How can you compare 40 year old guys against somebody who is nearly 70? Totally stupid comparison. Top 5 martial arts actors are: Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan and van Damme because they made martial arts popular on the screen. All the other guys are mostly B-or C stars. Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins were never A-stars, never. The others were and made movies for big A-movie studios!!!

    Typical comments by MMA fighters. Haters of the real martial arts, thinking it’s all bs. If you don’t believe these moves, then I suggest you go to Japan, take an Aikido class, and try it on the sensei. Then come here and share your opinion again.

    i also loved Steven as a kid, one of the reason i even agreed to take Aiki-jūjutsu lessons my mother wanted me to have some hobby as a kid, well i learned how to fall without smashing my head on the concrete when someone suddenly push you that's for sure and about the wrist twisting the only think i gained from that was resistance to the twisting it self like strong and flexible wrists, i wouldn't call it completely useless if i stayed and learn more you can know the dynamics of the body, lets say not so much when someone trying to punch you but at least most fight i had started with pushing and showing and that's where you get advantage against regular person easily redirect and get advantage to run or strike, the main purpose was self-defence after all

    Now that I think about it, you are right, Seagal is never in danger. I was a big fan of his early movies but like many others I got bored of his stuff, and I think that is part of the reason. Think about other big actions stars back then like Stalone and Arnold and Chuck and even Van Damme. Yeah, their characters usually won, but they also usually got the crap beat out of them during the process. It made the victories feel more earned. Seagal's characters were always like a Jedi plowing through a bunch of non-Jedis in the Star Wars universe. It is cool to watch for short amounts of time, but gets monotonous after awhile. Star Wars found a decent balance. Seagal never did.

    I agree because me too when I was young his one of my favorite action star and I really thought that aikido was great and I really wang to learn aikido, but then there is no aikido dojo I could find so what I do I learn taekwondo before I transition to MMA and thru my high school I was in a gang so every week I always fighting in the street and that's what I knew that aikido doesn't work in real life fight situations.

      He was my generation's One Punch Man, lol. Thats sorta what separated him from the pack, too. He just dominated everyone like he was some god, while most of the other stars at the time had the cliche Dragonball Z setup where they get beat up for 90% of the fight, then make a comeback. Steven Seagal's shtick was just stomping everyone out without even getting touched.

    Shaky cam, close-ups, black suits in a dark area...I can't even see Steven's techniques in those situations. As I recall, Aikido doesn't do punching and this martial art wasn't made to kill unlike what Steven has been doing in his movies.

    Aikido is totally useless by itself and only looks good in movies. In a real world confrontation Aikido (using another's momentum against them) would only work if the person actually allows them to do that and to do so they would have to throw a punch and then keep their arm extended without retracting it for Aikido to be effective. Nobody does this and why you have NEVER heard of any MMA fighter using Aikido in their bag of arsenals.
    Aikido could POSSIBLY be effective if used with another form of martial arts but would NEVER be anywhere near as effective as it is in the movies and laughable if used alone.
    I too used to be a big Steven Seagal fan growing up until I realized how full of nonsense and himself he truly is.

    • @triumphant39
      @triumphant39 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you look into this topic a bit more, or research a little more about steven seagal, you'd find that his style blends ordinary aikido with other martial arts styles. His style also has alot more aggressive tendencies and intentions, so at the very least he isn't as self contradictory or untrue to his movie depictions as people seem to think.

    I gave up on organized martial arts the first time I got my hair pulled and kicked in the nuts by a dude that was much bigger than me and I realized there are really no rules in the street. Practicing your katas and sparring with people who are studying the same discipline is fun and all but when it comes to real self defense I have to admit that MMA is the proper discipline along with perhaps krav maga.

    • @geoffreyfletcher6976
      @geoffreyfletcher6976 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except nowadays all people in MMA are training in the same techniques and tactics, so it's not any different than people studying the same discipline or system and sparring.

  • @ultimateninjaboi

    Yeah. The gun slap doesnt work. If anything, you COULD use a similar technique (alongside weaving to the other side) on their hand to either try and get a hold of the wrist... but its less of a slap, and more of a push and grab. And its not gonna reliably disarm them (if even ever). At best its gonna buy you a few extra seconds to do something else. So best if its one dude holding you at gunpoint, and you're reasonably sure you're not gonna make it once the situation is over. Last ditch.
    But hey. Seagal is an "actor," pretending to be a master martial artist. Im not surprised he uses a bunch of cliche, unrealistic, spectacular shit with no understanding of how the techniques they originally come from work.
