I remember seeing this car on the road and hating it because I was 5 and didn’t understand rebadging was and thought it was ripping off my moms Car which was a 2004 Chevy Malibu which as you know is pretty much the same car.

Lol that driver seat looks like the owner kept utility knives in their back pocket

The seat is so poorly made that it's just like that mine only has 60k miles and the seat is destroyed

As far as I know, this Oldsmobile was never sold in Canada, which is a shame really. According to Wikipedia, this generation of the Oldsmobile Cutlass was meant to be a placeholder for the Cutlass Ciera until the new Alero arrived. Imagine getting a Chevrolet Malibu with an Oldsmobile badge, different taillights and some more extra features. That's the 1997-1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

The Buick Century was enough. And also, a bit better screwed-together than the Malibu or Cutlass.

My co-worker is still driving his 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 3.1L that he bought brand new. It now has 296,000 miles. He did install a brand new transmission and intake manifold gasket at one point.

@@The_Real_Dredd I'd steer clear. These had the 3.1 v6 that is notorious for the flawed intake manifold gasket dumping coolant into the oil and making a milk shake in the engine. Happened to mine at only 65k miles and I caught it early by complete accident. There is a reason not many are left on the road.

Mine is the GLS like the one in the video but it just doesn't have the sunroof. It's been sitting since May of 2016 other than when I moved it back a little bit in the spring and it has right under 70,000 miles on it, by looking at some service records it seems that the original owner put very little miles on it. I feel like my mom put a lot of them on it throughout the ~2.5 years she drove it and it's had 3-4 owners not counting me whenever the title gets signed over.

@@mercurysable9921 Mine has all of the hubcap covers (passenger tire one fall off on the road so I gotta watch out) and only 70,000 miles on it, the original owner didn't drive it way too much and she only put around 20,000 or less looking at the service records. GM has great quality some people don’t take care of their cars my nana has a 1998 cutlass and she still has it it’s in immaculate condition but she’s the only driver but doesn’t drive since we run all her errands but she’ll tell us to drive her car so it doesn’t just sit there.

@@johnathonperea6258 I love GM, but its hard to argue their quality dropped around this time. I have a '95 K2500 I love, but the interior is pretty poorly put together. It's also had its fair share of gremlins, but as a 25 year old pickup, I can't blame anything but age on that.
