What I have to say about the 1999 Alero: For 1999, Oldsmobile has replaced the aged Achieva with the new Alero. Set to compete with the top dogs like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, stealing sales is very unlikely but stealing sales away from the Dodge Sratus and Ford Taurus are easy. The Oldsmobile has a very ergonomically correct interior and everything is easy to reach and modern. The seats are very comfortable and material quality is decent. Styling on the Alero is also a strong point with a nice curvaceous front end that makes it stand out from other midsize sedans. All in all great car from Oldsmobile.Like Camerons Car Reviews on Facebook! ?ref=cws

I just recently bought a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero I paid $2, 400 for it. Had a few minor things wrong with it, but it still was a great purchase. It cost me a little of nothing to fix the problems. It had 135.000 + miles on it. I'm more than satisfied with it

    Someone I know has a 2002 3.4L V6 GL1 Coupe and it's quite a nice car. I like the engine too.

No one ever mentions the nifty pop-out extra power outlet on the passenger side of the center stack!! 6:55

Great engine noise at 2:03! Sounds like my mom's 1992 Honda push lawnmower!

I was dying at the engine noise but I was relieved when that noise was still there after he turned the car off, so it wasn't the car making the horrid noise.

I have one of these cars, it was my step-dad's and I learned to drive after he passed away. I drive the car now and I have no idea where the switch for the four-ways is. Can someone please tell me? Mine does not have the button on the dash.

Interior quality was not very good on the Alero bro! The Alero based on the same platform as the rental car Pontiac Grand Am it was joked about in the industry because it was so plagued with cheap interior squeaks and rattles that GM could never fix. the 4-cylinder was the most reliable Powertrain offered however many alero's were pulled off the road due to bad electronic security systems which were very costly to repair and very common to fail. this one seems to have held up pretty well considering its age however it doesn't have very many miles on it which could explain that.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am practically the same car shown here just designed little differently but many similarity’s but it’s held up well with 166,000Km so that’s 103,000 miles on it original motor original transmission original starter those are the things that go quicker with improper maintenance and the car still running Dexcool with no issues and the head gasket never been changed no leaks anywhere engine gets fresh oil every 5000 miles and the coolant gets checked every year just recently did the breaks and bled the system gave the car new power steering fluid and when I get little more money it’s getting window tint and probably new paint job. Cars been reliable for me all comes down to maintenance the 3.4 V6 motor been pretty good too me sound healthy still and no compression loss runs great
