Thanks for the info. Stand alone ecu's are kind of expensive nowadays, especially if you want to add the wiring harness. We are looking at $1700 usd if am not mistaken. I am very soon going to swap to a beams and I would like to know your take on a S-AFC. Or is there a budget alternative? (I would love to super charge mine in the future...)
I wouldn't spend time/money messing with an S-AFC. It is a big expense to get a standalone, but it's worth it. You can always just go with the AltezzaLink if you've already got the car running on the stock ECU
I'm not familiar with them. I've really liked my adaptronic, but they're no longer in business. Link ECU is what the majority of beams guys run. What's important is talking to your tuner and finding out what they're familiar with, then finding an ECU from that company/brand that can do dual VVTi, etc.
@@DoctoredGarage Hello I deleted the vacuum. I can’t get it to idle steady it’s been fluctuating I cleaned the tb and still . When I start it when engine is cold it revs high then goes low the idle fluctuates. When I accelerate the idle goes down. Any hint 🙏🏼
If it wasn't doing that before then you might have an intake leak or you deleted something you weren't supposed to. Vacuum delete generally refers to the small vacuum hoses. If you deleted one of the large hoses, like the pcv or the big one that is after the MAF and goes to the valve cover, that could be the problem.
@@DoctoredGarage I understand your point of view, but here we have big support and knowledge in FT, will be working the same way.. just asked you if you know someone using it Im from Paraguay
@@DoctoredGarage roger that, have a buddy with a 3sge swapped car in Australia and he’s running haltech and said it’s superior over link but I’ve also read the opposite
I have a aem v2 that I bought from a guy in the Facebook forums, ralphy Perez. He said it was running in a vehicle with vvti for 8+ years then in his chassis until he sold it to me but everything I’m reading is saying it’s impossible with vvti
Definitely the kind of content I’m looking for 🤙🏼

What do you think about Max ECU for the beams?

Hello do all your beams run vacuum or deleted?
There really aren't any vacuum lines to run with a swap, so I pretty much "delete" them/block them off.
@@DoctoredGarage Thank you very much 🙏🏽
You're welcome!

My exhaust cam gear is leaking at a hole on the gear
What could be causing that
Sounds like one of the seals let go. I've heard you can't really rebuild/reseal these, but I've heard of a few people do it lol
Do you know Fueltech?
I'm familiar. I don't care for it personally
@@DoctoredGarage Im gonna use one at my Altezza and I know some people using it
Go with the altezzalink. It's plug and play and way better in my opinion.

@@DoctoredGarage what if you wanna turbo the altezza is the altezzalink good or go for the linkEcu
Nothing on haltech?
It hasn't been very popular for BEAMS swaps, I have no real idea why. They have a capable ECU in a similar price range as the others.

I'm sure it's comparable, dunno about superior

Panic had a workaround for the AEM on a BEAMS. but it's not just a simple plug and play
