Return to home wouldn’t make it return. These toys only fly in a very vague direction on return to home which may or may not have even been correct. We’ve all lost toy quads before in the wind, especially when they also drift out of range. Once out of range, it would try to decend, not return home no matter what you did. Don’t feel too bad. I lost a quad in the wind like this, I lost one when blinded by the sun which flew into a river, I lost another one by trying to make it descend when it was going too far.....it descended alright....right into a pond- lol
You’re probably right, this particular drone though it’s fast, it’s too light and struggles to fly in the right direction when it’s breezy. And that RTH works in pretty unpredictable way. I’m only glad it wasn’t an expensive one gone..
Mike, yours is about $900 more sophisticated;))) if yours would fly away (which I doubt would ever happen) it will probably land automatically and you’ll be able to gps-track it.

The one key return home feature in this drone and in other cheap drones (the ones without GPS) is actually nothing more than the drone pressing the back button. Some drones retain the original orientation and put the drone in headless mode and try their best to get it back to you. However the manual still advices to set the home position in pre-flight checks.
@@FamilyPopTV -Same here waste of money! I did’t even have the Drone for 3 week ! I fly the Drone 3or 4 times the last time the Drone just took off by itself to the left side and flying away I did’t even press the left button! Screw these $40 and $50 Drone!
@@FamilyPopTV Not probably. Certainly. Many people fell for the silly advertising. But because they got ripped off for 'only' $100 they are going after the scammers. Some even believe they bought themselves a nice drone for the money. Of course those are always people who never had a drone before. For $100 you can get a GPS drone with brushless motors and gimbal. And it won't fly away.

Lol, inhad the exact same experience! Sun blinded me and it flew too high, wouldn't respond to the controller and then crashed into a canal 😂
