respectfully i disagree with the power-dynamics-slap-is-okay-and-cute!!! its not cute at all, and a slap is a slap, its physical violence, if a man slaps or a woman slaps. in any case, getting physical abuse is not at all fun, even though i agree farhaad has lied about his identity and all, but slap?! no i would never support at any cost.

A slap is not just violent but it's also very humiliating. If someone slapped me (fun or not) I would never ever go to back to them. Even if a girl slapped me (me being a girl myself) I would never forgive or forget despite there not being a power dynamic.
Why is Iqra starting this trend of girls slapping boys randomly? This was the third slap by her, one in MM and two here. This is as bad as a boy slapping a girl. If our drama makers want to show strong , brave girls they should show girls doing proper fight, karate, flying kicks with boys harassing them, like the girls in K Dramas. But neither our drama makers have the knowhow of proper professional fighting techniques, nor our girls are properly trained. These random slaps look cringy.

Yes exactly the slap in BRKRJ was so uncalled for and unnecessary. Imagine if it was done by Farhad, all the 'feminist' would have been calling this out loudly. But since it's done by a girl, there's very little talk about it. Sadly, the idea of strong women in Pakistani dramas is shown by slapping, behaving rudely and even worst, spitting on husband as done by Meerub in TB.

Anddd, shahmir went to meet mehreen because shibra told him in the last episode that she's been invited with fazal baksh to mehreens house, so he knew that mehreen has figured out his secret identity so he went himself to sort things out.
Well the drama should unveil quickly now as it will lose its audience at such slow pace. But still the dure-bilal chemistry is a candy for eyes! 😍
Phupo’s dance and scenes were the only thing I enjoyed in this episode of IM. The sad part is that we appreciated the real Fazal Bukhsh in the initial episodes, his scenes looked funny, spontaneous and incorporated into the story, but now his scenes are being forced , are disjointed and make no sense. They are being overdone due to which they lost charm. Time to end the drama.
Not just those scenes look so forced, but also they wasted the hard work of ali gul mallah.... people were enjoying his acting so much, but just because of these newly added scenes, the impact of the real fazal baksh and his famous bhalle is vanished now... i seriously don't understand the first 10 min of every episode. i mean, what's the point of adding so many new scenes... from the start, there was a genuine problem of editing ... it was bad, but now because of these newly added scenes... it looks like HUM TV has hired a fresh new intern for the editing...

I did not like that slapping scene in BRKRJ cause violence is violence no matter what. And showing females do that is not women empowering in my opinion. Imagine if the genders swapped it would have been a huge fuss on the internet. So yeah. Please don't show any slapping scenes whether by men or women

Standup girl: I think I understand where Hina is coming from. They have established from the onset that Hina feels ignored by the family, she was constantly jealous of the attention and care that zara was getting and consistently voiced her jealousy but it fell on deaf ears by the family. Now she found this guy that is absolutely besotted by her, to a psychopathic level where she sees he basically worships her. Someone with a timid personality who she feels she could control for the rest of her life. As opposed to Mirza who is equally besotted BUT he is an equal in terms of personality, he is vocal and loud and would stand beside her not behind her. I think it is such a nuanced and beautifully written character. She is making up for how she feels treated by her family, but choosing someone who could never ignore or cross her.

At 1:12:57 Hassan, there was a scene where shibra told fazal baksh that mehreen has called me over at her house to meet her and we should go together. So maybe thats why shahmeer decided to pay mehreen a visit alone
I didn't like the Raju Hina track at first but I don't mind it anymore. It's done well actually. Hina put forward her points in an effective manner as well. In the end it's her call to make. I do miss her banter with Mirza tho. Actually miss Mirza's scenes in general.

I want to mention here that, this drama is mix of all genre comedy, romantic and thriller, I request you to please don't categorise this drama in any perticular genre
Also I believe that Fazar Raja, the director is very talented person and very much inspired by Bollywood movies so the genre and presention very much resembles to Bollywood movies, at the same time this guy has succeeded in delivering whatever he wanted to.
I also request you to give him the benifit of doubt, as it is his first drama and be kind while reviewing it

I guess i understand the psyche of hina khala. Usko muhabat k pyas hai agar yad ho aik episode mai us ni chat p ja k red lipstick lagaya mirza k leye and she was interested but when she found out about raju and intensity of his love so she got attracted to him and his feelings.
You guys are so influenced by that 50 shades kinda books. You did same in TB too when Murtasim slapped Meerub and then she fainted. And called slap in that passionate. No, the snerio like of mutual hurting each other is either not present in TB and not really in BRKRJ. It's not cute at all. If a guy slaps a girl, it's wrong. If a girl does it, it's wrong as well. Period.
Khushbo Mein Basay Khat: Husni is a female version of Zaryab. Both are narcissists and both are opportunists. Both believe that they can charm anyone, and once anyone is charmed, both like to use them as their convenience, case in point Parvaiz and Miss Panny. Both look at themselves in the mirror with praise. Both can’t bear being ignored and that's why when Husni ignored Zaryab or Zaryab ignored Husni, they were distressed.. Husni's jubilation when Zaryab comes outside her house is the same as Zaryab singing in joy while thinking that Husni loves him.. both do not love anyone but themselves, and both want each other to fall in love with them..
The only difference between their behaviors is because of their circumstances as Husni has yet not reached the place Zaryaab already have.

Ishq Murshid: As my understanding of the drama goes, I wish I could get a confirmation of this from the creators, the opening scene with that beautiful song is an imagination or dream of Shahmeer's. Hence the song, Sapna Sapna.
It's that quirky, odd, simple little world Shahmeer has created for himself as Fazal Baksh in his imagination and he goes into it as an escape. Where, as any odd dream goes, Bhallay and Faraz in a weird attire also show up.
And if I'm correct, this is how Fazal Baksh will be immortalized for the rest of the drama, since the episodes will technically not feature him anymore, he will be shown in dream sequences/Imaginations just living a simple life with his beloved Shibra (and ballay and the dream version of Faraz will also make appearances in this way)
While his world actually comes crashing down in reality.
Ofcourse this is just my theory which may be disproven in the next episode tomorrow 😂
But I think I'm right about the fact that the sapna Sapna scene is infact a Sapna.
Also, this is a very effective way to add filler scenes, it happens a lot in sitcoms in the US, they're called cold opens.

Khushbo Mein Base Khat: that’s the beauty of Kinza’s character that she is not shown to be sorted. I don’t know why you guys want every character to be sorted in dramas and think in a linear way, which never happens in real life. Kinza’s character is a true depiction of real contradictory emotions that a human being goes through and how he/ she can have varying feelings or emotions about a certain situation. It also shows how young girls (or human beings in general) can enter into a situation thinking they are in control of it and eventually fall prey to that situation themselves. There feelings become real without them realising it. That’s the beauty of a smartly written character it has shades of every thing and it forces you to think about the complexities of human emotions. I don’t know what part of that you don’t understand and why do you want a clear minded and sorted characters in your dramas when it is not a true depiction of human emotions. A person can be, at the same time, be in and not in love with someone.

Standup Girl - Hina/Raju track : She is desperate bcoz she too has wanted to have her own family after her divorce... She has been bitter about her first marriage and now she wants to be loved and her desperation would make her take the first person who comes along with love!... While She was enjoying Mirza's attention, as soon as she had one more suitor, she enjoyed the opportunity to "choose"...
WRT to her "Creepiness" to make Raju do certain "acts" for her, if you notice, she copies Zara... she observes the activities between Zara and Danish and go to Raju and force him to repeat that act... She probes Zara on, "what do they talk, do they date, where do they go, their late evening calls, clandestine meets" etc... with each of these probes/observations, she rushes to Raju and asks him to do same thing... she wants to enjoy everything Zara or Gen Z enjoys today!...
I think it was well potrayed and not a mind twister! I actual love this track because the actors are just out of the world and the situation is comic to the core!
I just loved Iqra's look in this episode, just like her Walima one in Suno Chanda. Plus its a very cinematic and crafty drama making it enjoyable.

First scene of drama showed FB dreaming about shibra after losing her. I didn't find it irrelevant. Now shahmeer made a counter plan with fraz to tackle mehreen. That scene just gave me that message

IM: I feel the filler scenes serve the purpose well of lighting up those cute emotions very well, but yes agreed they take you a little off in the context of the whole storyline. Would have been great had they shot the initial scene at the rukhsati place, would have given the context of how the romance is blooming while they are doing the preps for the event. Having Faraz there, also makes one question first how he is still so comfortable with Shahmeer post the guilt he is carrying and secondly how swiftly they have actually written off the character of Faraz’s wife, who supposedly was Shibra’s good friend in the start.
I guess Shahmeer landing at Mehreen’s place didn’t feel out of place, as Shibra did till him of someone named Mehreen coming to their place the last time they were on the terrace, so he kind of knew something is wrong there, so to go to her place did make sense, without any story gap or jump.
As for the change in Shibra’s father as to how he has flipped over asking Fazal Baksh how dare he think of Shibra in that sense, I guess it was partially that he felt his trust was broken by him for what he thought of him and how things have panned out in front of him, to a level that Shibra too is hiding things from him (his father), which had never been the case. And secondly, indeed as we say “jab tak khud par nahi aati baat, tab tak sab Sahi Lagta hai” 😅, it felt the same as his principles and rational mind took a backseat. But kudos to the writer and Bilal sir for displaying those emotions so naturally 🙌🏻

Guys, one thing my understanding and instinct tells me that BRKRJ is Romeo Juliet story in parallel universe, that's why the name is given that way
Also know that, if they hv related the drama to Romeo and Juliet, that means we are definitely heading towards tragic love story.
To the Pakistani fans of BRKRJ, i believe this drama is something like a regional Indian movie "Sairat", it was love story with really tragic end, but worth watching

Hassan it’s not called panic, it’s the precautionary measures which all responsible governments take before the actual disaster /devastation takes place and the whole city comes under it. And the children as the most vulnerable part of society should always be the priority. That’s why schools asked to pick up the children before it gets too late to reach back home in one piece with khair o afiyat. Here in America, schools are closed even if a little storm/ snow storm or flood warning announce , and we often see that the forecast wasn’t turned out to be true, it’s only Pakistani and Indians (all khatron k khilari 😝) who complained like you did that “ koi toofan nahin aya aesi hi school bund ker wa dye”. Our problem is that if government doesn’t do anything or do after something wrong happened, we criticize and if they do some good for us we again criticize, because it interrupts our schedule of the day. Common Hassan, itni duniya ghoom ker bhi aesi batein na kya kero. It’s always good to take the precautionary measurements before something bad happens.
