I think Maya was mostly attacking Amma tv aur main. But Amma is so good at pointing out all the mistakes and flaws which amazes me. Not everyone is book smart, some people are street smart. And we should appreciate both. Love Something Haute and Amma tv aur main both. They both are different but very entertaining in their own ways.

If an younger woman spoke like how she speaks and used abusive language people would’ve been far more harsh towards her channel but since she’s older, people can’t see that. Also sometimes she says things and her own lifestyle & kids lifestyles are polar opposites of that. I also think she now just criticises for the sake of it, rather than constructive criticism, and tries to be funny. It’s not salty, I just think she can be very rude! A lot of the things she says I agree with but her way of saying them are just mean, coarse and a mockery.

I think Hasan should have held the ground for all reviewers/critics instead of feeling excited that Maya Ali is not talking about something haute (which she was) just like how she was holding it down for all actors. I personally felt in this episode that Hasan just doesn't want to upset Maya Ali even after what she does! Sometimes you gotta say what you gotta say.
Just like critics and reviewers do not have any proper training and education, all these actors don't have any training also. They learned on the go.
Lastly, please somebody start telling these actors that everyone works hard, a lot of the time, much harder than them, yet they get praises, recognition and loads of money. If you are so sensitive and your job is so hard then just quit it and do something that you find easy. The world will be fine if we don't have Maya Ali and the other dude.

Hassan is defending Maya not saying anything bad about SH. I feel our problem was not just tis that she might be targeting SH but that her opinion was just derogatory to people reviewing or working hard in general. Even celebrities are making crappy dramas and then justifying it by saying we have to earn a living.

Disagreed with Maya. Unless reviewers are being disrespectful, she can't say that one has to spend time on a shoot to comment on the drama. You don't need to know how to cook to enjoy a good meal or know a crappy meal from a great one. So, spending time on a shoot will help appreciate the effort that goes into creating a short clip. Despite the appreciation, one would still be able to say if that clip is well made or not.

I read through many comments on Maya's "review" of the critics. I haven't found a person yet in these comments who agreed with Maya on her comments. An actors job is to act, the reviewer's job is to review. As a viewer, I felt like both Maya and Bilal came to the interview with an agenda and just put forth what was on their minds. I am glad that Hassan felt the "warmth" from them but I felt the whole interview was "cold", especially after their comments. As human beings, they did not come across as likable people. A little humility goes a long way, especially in the entertainment industry.

Maya and Bilaal looked like a school children whining about tests and exam results putting their hard work down . 😊 Only the insecure artists do not feel comfortable being critiqued. All around the world reviews of movies come out after the first show. It is all part of the showbiz profession. With so much love and appreciation, and popularity, a little bit of criticism on work should be accepted by them, wholeheartedly. Big stars become humble with time, ours do a couple of movies and think they have become stars. I was looking at the first show response of people for the film Pathan, and public was going absolutely berserk over Shahrukh and Depika, in the cinema halls. This is called star power, and yet they are humble. Ours should take some lessons from them.

How much research is required to tell bad content from good content in a drama? This case is totally different vs. a car review. Even when it comes to food - if I am a customer of a restaurant and I don't like their Biryani - the Chef can't tell me 'Hey first learn what it takes to make Biryani'. In that case as well you can have experienced food critics with their say but a restaurant runs for the average consumer who chooses to spend their money there. And if they decide not to, the restaurant will go out of business. A 'Star' becomes a Star and earns their money because of the audience. So they need to respect them. Ofcourse these actors can also have their opinion and that is to be respected as well, but the way these two expressed it - it was just entitlement.

We can understand Hassan that probably while you had a chat with Maya offscreen you knew she was primarily talking about someone else, but you see thats ‘offscreen’; something that the audience would never get exposed to. So naturally on the basis of whatever we see on screen is how we reach a conclusion about someone. Because of that Maya should’ve chosen her words well, what we saw was purely bitter and tbh just pissed me off whereas i was excited for yunhi as i havent seen much of them. A sensible actor even if he/she is best friends with the said interviewer will still act responsible because that is what the audience sees right. If it wasnt about you, she should have spoken better, because you and Amna are masters at your job and no one should sit on your show and say otherwise and think oh thats okay because off camera I meant it wasnt for them. The audience has every right to have an opinion, and if someone has a channel and wants to review it and other ppl want to watch it - the celebrities need to accept that. Hassan, Aamna said it right the other day that you are very kind and gracious even off-screen and we can see that. And I think the objective of discussing this today was because you felt bad for Maya and wanted to address it. I understand you want to give Maya benefit of doubt and it's very gracious of you. The crux of the matter is not the lack of tolerance for differing views - it's the manner in which she put her point forth. It was salty and passive-aggressive from the moment you did Intro. Maya lacks the tact and professionalism to put her point across in a respectful manner. I wish she can google what passive-aggressive behavior entails and make amendments accordingly. After spending over a decade, she still hasn't learned what to say or how to say. As Aamna put it, she and Bilal surely need media training. I wholeheartedly agree with Aamna, and I am so glad that she expressed her disappointment. When actors like Maya cannot find a compelling argument in response to the feedback they receive they always deflect the topic and indulge in victim-mentality. SH is like our family and we feel protective about you - it was natural that any form of attack would be met with the comments we saw underneath their interview. Moreover, it wasn't just an attack on critics but also on her 'Gher Behti Huwe audience' as well. As I said in my previous comment - only an insecure actor will respond in the manner she did. In her last interview on SH, she was upset that assertive women roles go to Yumna, Sajal and Saba, well maybe she hasn't reached that mark and brought that finesse to her acting and that's why the feedback she received for Pehli Si mohabbat is actually for her own good but she seemed too entitled to see it that way

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, be it a ‘star’ or a ‘commoner’. But the point is, that her points were absurd and made NO sense! Because she’s been working since 2012, critics should think before giving feedback. Because ‘princess’ Maya has worked a long day in the heat/ cold, no one has the right to judge?? If a labourer was building her house in the same heat/cold (for much less money) and did a rubbish job, I’m sure Maya would let him know she isn’t happy. So yes Hasan, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it has to at least make sense. Im afraid, your understanding of her statement didn’t make sense either. Hassan is being nice about it bilawaja, it doesn't matter who Maya was referring to, it's the principle of the thought that's problematic. Yes Maya has the right to express her opinion. Nobody is saying otherwise. But it's just ironic that her criticism for the bad reviewers is that they don't know the R of reviewing. Hi, I've been following you guys since the start, and i love you guys and say this with all the love, but Hassan even if maya wasn't talking about you guys, it doesn't take away from the fact that it was wrong, as Aamna correctly pointed out they get lacs and crores for working in extreme conditions, and as far as the review thing is concerned, the drama is made for the public, so its is our right to either like it or not and then share our opinions on it, just because it isnt what you believe or because as an actor you're "sensitive" doesn't make it wrong. Another thing is that you kept saying it wasn't about us and all, however it was very clear who she was talking about, and i must say it was extremely derogatory for the people who she was speaking about, the dramas are made for housewives as said by them themselves, she as in amma from amma tv aur mein has been watching these dramas for a very long time and their reviews make so much sense and are entirely what the masses feel themselves hence the viewership, and it would've been nice to see that instead of saying atleast you're not talking about us, u would've defended and taking your peers side, however i dont blame you as again you were trying to mediate the situation, however it would've been nice to see you atleast disagree with the statement and understand that it was wrong in todays episode.
Aamna was right these actors need proper media training before coming to give interviews.

I agree to amna about maya as you people are giving opinion about their characters in drama but maya was attacking reviewers personally. #onthespot

It might be Maya's opinion but there is a way to state her opinion. If she wants the reviewers to be polite, you yourself need to be polite first. Also, the point that actors work hard and so should not be critiqued too much does not make sense at all. It's like saying I have worked hard for an exam so the teacher should not deduct my marks or say not to say anything about the bad food served at a restaurant just because the chef worked hard standng and cooking in the heat. It does not work this way

    i respect both of you
on maya’s point hassan aaj shadeed relieved hain ke unka naam maya nay nhn liye
aur iske elwa something haute is only lead by professionals
amna conclude this point very professionally while hassan praise their professionalism by demeaning other youtubers
literally very disappointed with hassan’s take

What Maya said it does not make any sense at all,
    She works in hard circumstances,
She is working from last 10 yrs, so we need to appreciate her pathetic work???
We will only appreciate good quality work as a viewers ,
As a viewer I always agree with Hassan and Amina.
I never found them criticizing any project for no reasons.

I agree with Amna in maya ali's case . Whatever she said is 100 percent right. I am glad she addressed it . Don't defend her (maya) hassan. Friendship aside whatever she said was not right

I am extremely fond of Aamna but on Maya and Bilal thing Hassan opinion taken me away! So mature of him. Today it felt I have seen Hassan growing like a baby to a man. Love you both!!!!
