People may not agree with me but I honestly think Durre needs to take acting classes. She had a dream role in Khaie but she couldn’t do justice to it. She lacked that aggression needed for this role. She had the same expression throughout the series.

True... But again amna and hassan seems to be so ignorant they re not even bothered to address this particular feedback by so Many people in the comment section regarding durre acting as if they have gone blind or have decided hell bent on praising her otherwise they always go like " bht logo nay yeah bola woh bola" like if majority are saying something the least they can do is explain to us how they differ in the opinion of her acting skills and why most of us are not able to see what they can😅

Khaie's ending was too idealistic. I can't imagine a kid being ao mentally sound after seeing all his family be so brutally wiped off, no matter what the reason. To top it off, being so considerate to your step mother, of all people, who was the focal point of all the mess. His own mother died due to the trauma and he is all happy with "choti ammi". Very unbelievable.
How zamda was so mentally stable after all of this was also unbelievable.
And please stop with this extra praise of durre. How was her acting comparable to any of the other actors that you people are always giving her flying kisses?? Her voice seemed to be coming out of a cave in so many scenes, crying without a single tear, no depth of emotions at badal's death or any remorse or fear at anyone else's death.

Durre had 3 expressions throughout the series. Where did Aamna see the subtle nuances and different emotions overplayed? I feel they need to watch good acting and pause the guilty pleasures for a while so their taste in dramas and acting improves.
The fact they themselves admitted that Zamda-Duraab scene was underwhelming despite him being a veteran and giving his best, is itself telling. The Barlas death had more impact thanks to Faysal and Uzma saving the day.

    • @aali9778

Yes the first few episodes seemed to give her a lot of margin but then she became a side character. The villains- channar and duraab khan seemed more central. In no way did durre go a fantastic job at all. Just disappointing. I thought that too regarding Aizaz. I really thought he will kill her at the end on the bridge. Just a bit sad.

Hassan is Anupamaa from Film Companion. Instead of her “genuine effort” & “sincerity”, he uses “I have to say”, “has to be the best”, “not of their best” even if the performer is new. I respect his opinions but sometimes his generosity for his favourites overshadows his critiquing abilities.

In the last episode of Khaie, I only felt for Badal. She did not thought for a second for him. The other women vanished suddenly, even in the scene where Badal's mother came with Zamda's mom but there was no scene for her that where her son went.

What happened to Zamda and Badals dream of making a school?did he just die for nothing? Zamda didn't even seem to care about him dying? Ending should've atleast had a school where Zamda takes Aizaz or they run but they ended it with showing Chanar Khan where he's saying she loves him that was so weird because she never loved Chanar so that scene doesn't make sense.

As for khaie drama you people were praising faisal and durre so much.Durre as most of the people pointed out had the same expression throughout but as always hasan go all gaga over her. She's a beautiful girl and has lot of potential but not suited for this role. Faisal in the last scene was so irritating. Writer and director of the show totally ruined the drama by making him the hero in the end which aamna and hasan also agreed. But sorry to say his acting was pathetic in the last scene though I enjoyed his performance throughout. But then everyone has a right to his or her views.

Only flaw in the ending was they shouldn't have shown zamda reminiscing channar's love for her. Makes it seem like she is missing his love. And also Aizaz shouldn't have seen her pointing a gun at him. He should've been facing the other side. A child of his age can't forgive or forget their step mom pointing a gun at him and killing off his father ever. He should've never known zamda's truth if they wanted to show he lives and grows with her.

To make Faisal Qureshi's character likable and romantic, they ruined the whole essence of this drama. Probably, Faisal Qureshi forced the director to keep him a hero. I was expecting, the little kid running away with anger in his eyes in the end. This could've given a chance of Season 2.

Khaie: As much as i would appreciate the direction and acting, both were phenomenal, i can't shake off my concerns on how it ended.
Seems like they were trying to serve us with a happy ending, instead it was a flawed one. How could aizaz grow up to love a woman who murdered his entire family infront of his eyes? It's unreal that he seems to be all happy and chirpy about it just because she didn't kill him and raised him as her own.
Also, Zumda wasn't supposed to come off as all goody good at the end. It wasn't a " justice served right" story. It was a " 2 families wiped off of the face of planet in hatred and revenge" story. It wasn't normal. How is she living normally with all of this is beyond me.
Plus, what on earth was that flashback of Channar at the bridge? Matlab k this girl killed even some of the innocent ones and then fell in love with the main culprit? Wow.

She cudnt kill the boy but she just leaves with her mother .. cut short next 20 years .. we see a very vicious gulvareen who has raised another chinar in that boy awaiting revenge.. we also see that apana also has a son with similar upbringing.. and then we see zamda in bahrain with her family of two boys and a girl and a husband living happily planning to make a visit to zamdas home town.. we also throw in a scene leavjnv us confused if whether zamdas first born is actually chinars son . Khaie: I was honestly expecting that Aizaz will do a Gangs of Wasseypur-ish end by shooting Zamda when he stepped out of the car leaving her inside. But it was possibly avoided to give a happy end.
Aizaz wasn't a baby when this happened. It was really unbelievable that he got over this. There could have been atleast one scene where Zamda lies to him to save him from agony. There was also no closure given to Badshah Khan's wife Bakhtawar, but I think the makers truly forgot about her in the end.
There was also no portrayal of Zamda regretting or trying to cope with the murders she planned. The last shot of her hallucinating Chanar Khan was not enough to depict residual trauma.

Throughout the drama, not once has anyone seen her love for chanar khan, but as usual It's a disease in ptv makers to somehow show the love angle between leads ... they tried too hard to show stockholm syndrome symptoms in zamda... which is clearly not the scene... and i don't know how aizaz is so comfortable living with a person who literally killed his whole family... even his mother died because of her... i was thinking what happened to those loyal servants of durab Baba... why didn't they try to kill zamda after knowing her reality... so you are right there was no depth in the story.... overall, despite its many flaws, it was a very engaging drama... 2. I hated when the makers in the last scene depicted that zamda was also started secretly loving channar. Uhhh.. in the last scenes there was no mention of Badal which also depicts the mindset of the makers that no matter what happens, a wife will always remember her husband only.

Khaie: A very flawed and rushed ending. Zamda, who mercilessly killed off every member and showed no signs of tiredness or remorse, suddenly became so emotional, weakened, a whimpering woman when killing Chanar. Durre’s performance there wasn’t strong: she showed only the emotional part instead of the strength and cold-bloodedness. There wasn’t enough conflict of emotions. Second, the graveyard scene was too long and repetitive of Chanar’s love and what not. Third, the ending was so convenient with Gul Wareen miraculously dying, Apana getting remarried and the other two widows just no more. Fourth, how was Aizaz’s disappearance not questioned and how was he so chill with Zamda murdering his whole family.
Zamda becoming a saint after killing many people including Pameer and the wives (apart from Gul) was so unnatural. In any revenge or murder story, there is always a morality crisis like Crime & Punishment but here there wasn’t any. Both the director and writer and the actor is to be blamed for not showing that crucial aspect. Her hint of loving Chanar was so disturbing and contradictory to what she had done so along. Chanar’s lover boy was irritating. Her not even remembering Badal was absurd a fault of the writer & director.
FQ & Khalid Butt were absolutely amazing as the delicious villains. Durre was good and is her best performance but the role could’ve been elevated to another level but I hope more such dramss are made so that our underrated talents shine.

Khaie: They conveniently killed both wives of Channar Khan leaving Zamda alone with the youngest son.☺️ Although the story had flukes but overall it was an extremely engaging drama with a different premises of a girl taking brutal revenge, instead of showing the usual Stockholm Syndrome. Set in a beautiful location there were some very impactful scenes with good direction , good make up and impeccable performances, specially by Khalid Butt Sahab, Faisal Qureshi and Uzma Hassan. Some scenes stayed with me for a long time:
--Jindul Khan tied to a tree with his hands cut off. Realistic make up, well directed. There was not only sound of pistol shots but actual flashes were shown during firing.
--Barlas Khan death. Again very realistic make up of cuts on his neck.
--Duraab Khan death( although the thoughts of real actor and his demise clouded it).

Zamda never had any symptoms of stockholm syndrome, but in the end, they tried to show that zamda had some sort of feeling for chanar khan, which is disgusting ... but as i said in the other comment, it's a disease of the ptv maker to somehow show some sort of love angle between leads no matter if it makes sense or not, but they will show ... and i completely agree with you. It was such an engaging drama... even though they stretched the drama as much as they could still, this drama managed to grab their audience's attention

I completely agree with Amna. All her points are so valid. There was no tribute or any remembrance for Badal who she loved and who did so much for her by helping her kill Channar’s family, all out of love for her. She didn’t weep very much for him, maybe because she was just so emotionless by then. She had killed and had experienced such heartbreak. And not showing any of the rest of the characters after all the deaths and everything else, it was just too fast. I think instead of filling all the previous episodes with so many flashbacks, they should’ve used that time to have some character development and maybe had one more episode to show the consequence of killing all of these people. It wasn’t completely fulfilling but it was great acting. Not completely unsatisfactory, but just enough.

Honestly the ending for Khaie fell flat at many points and then was rushed. The long ass speech before chanaar dies... why? He should have been shocked and angry when she told him but too weak to do anything even when he tried. Also Zamda should have made a point of saying how a "lowly" "weak" woman stood up to evil and avenged the men of her family. Also she should have more forcefully countered his claims of love. For a second i thought he was trying to distract her and was going to lunge at her to try to grab the gun. No dice there either. Love means to sacrifice oneself for the happiness of the one you love NOT to destroy and possess. The final scene could have been better positioned as PTSD initially and then her finally letting go and overcoming her residual trauma after so many years. That her act of kindness in the end "killed khaie" itself, made her whole and brought her the peace that the eye for an eye revenge couldn't have. But no, they suggest she kinda sorta did fall for him, coz his love was so strong and true. The voice-over to try and tie up loose ends was like a rushed checklist that didn't make much sense. One died, other one eventually died, third remarried. Chalo the end, Khair sallah. Essentially "gonglu tay mitti" and mitti pao .. the end... what the?!?!?

With regards to Hassan's interview with ishq Murshid's writer....I must say that it truly depicted the helplessness of writers in Pakistani drama industry. That dude didn't utter a single thing against Farooq Rind despite his script being severly butchered. It is such a hopeless state and so demotivating for anyone who wants to pursue writing for Pakistani dramas....first it was JJ who conveniently claimed in Aamna's interview that the dramas' quality has improved over the years, however we all know how insanely the content quality has gone down the hill specially in the last 5 or so years.

I was not happy with the ending of Khaie.
    1. It was all about Chanar and his love. It should have been about Zamada and her struggles throughout.
    2. She took way too long to shoot him.
    3. The running to the kid with the gun pointing at him and then not killing him is weird and off. It doesn’t make sense but even if you go with it, why did she ‘adopt’ him? Wouldn’t she see his family in him? And apparently she told him everything but he didn’t hate her? At the end of the day, that’s his family that she literally KILLED!
    4. They should’ve shown everyone’s ‘ending’ even for a few seconds.
    5. The very last scene made it seem like she loved Chanar; which is really weird. She used to shudder at his touch throughout the drama and then all of a sudden she’s thinking about him? It would’ve made more sense for her to see her family and Badal at the bridge.

3)last scene of chanar showed that zamda is still recovering from what had happened.what chanar said was who he was.

•And yeah Duraab’s funeral was an other essential missing point, He was the bone of contention, who sow the poisonous seeds, who was the ultimate Villain, the destruction he had cultivated, remember the killing of Jundol Khan-I feel Durab’s funeral should have been Celebrated with thaaaat intensity if not less.

FQs popularity is this, people love his 'mohabbat' style in show after show. It's disturbing. Channar khan only had hawas for Zamda, what a regressive depiction of Mohabbat. Aamnas point he shouldn't have been given all that time to act the martyr for love is correct. Zamda should have been the one talking saying 'you killed, you kidnapped, you raped, I hated every minute, every minute with you was torture, I was disgusted when you came near me etc". That should have been the last speech. Instead they indulged FQs ego and stardom. Disgusted. I'd never recomend Khaie now to anyone.

Khaie: The story and the performances were phenomenal.
I can understand the attachment of Zamda with Chanar Khan and the Kid. In case of Chanar it was clearly a sign of Stockholm Syndrome and for Aizaz it was purely selfless love for an innocent kid plus the motive with which her father originally came back to end Khaie once and for all. Also her revenge is over now! Got what she wanted.
Slight difference should have been made in ending..it should have been left on cliff hanger regarding Aizaz's feelings (He recognises that his family was a cold blooded murderer but also how could he forgive this women..murderer..Zamda Ami so easily)

If you yearn so badly for stockholm syndrome, you can watch every other pakistani drama, that was released after bashar momin that started this trend. This was something that wasnt a run of the mill drama and you guys are leaving no stone unturned to criticise the victim here. Slow claps for people like you. Now we know why dramas like kaisi teri khudgarzi are appreciated while dramas like khaie where for once the victim has taken her revenge gets bashed. This proves why there are many dramas like kaisi teri khudgarzi while khaie was something groundbreaking for pakistani drama standards. Shame on you and people like you who are normalising victims falling in love with their harassers

I completely agree with Amna about Khaie, there was no need for the last scene, it should not have been added anyway, this entire episode should have been about Zamda. Zamda’s dialogues should have been more than Chinar Khan's. Zamda should have said to Chinar Khan what a painful time I have spent with you during the days I have been in your house as she used to mention her pain to Badal khan. She should have told that Badal used to love me who sacrificed his life for my love, but Badal Khan's name was not mentioned even once. It is a pity🤦‍♀️

Khae: Idk why people are sympathizing with Durab and clan but not with Zamda. Her whole family was killed and she avenged them rightfully so! As far as Aizaz is concerned, Zamda was not inhumane or sadistic, all she wanted was revenge and she took it with Channar. Aizaz was too young to remember everything this clearly, she could have told that child anything to make sure he understands her stance
All in all, Khae had the potential to be the next big thing only if they hadn't dragged the drama so much that People lost sight of Zamda's real mission.

I would disagree and say a piece of fiction does not have to reflect ideals or what we wish the real world was like. It can have aspects that make you feel uncomfortable and uneasy. The whole point of art is to invoke a reaction. If we isolate khaie from societal narratives and sensibilities and just take it for what it is. The ending did not ruin it at all. It was an unconventional ending that invokes a reaction.
It did not take away from Zamda’s glory, her bravery and grit.
I think people can theorize and bring out many reasons for that last scene. Whether it’s an intrusive thought, or she really began developing a soft spot for chanaar after spending time with him. Whatever it is, I think it made the story better and took nothing away from it.
I do wish Badal was addressed though.

Khaie ending makes no sense. It was rushed, dull and incoherent. Badal did everything for Zamda and yet her hallucinations are that of Channar Khan mansplaining her that she didn't hate him 😂. Aijaz is completely ok with fondly calling the murderer of his whole family, ammi. Like what? And what's with romanticizing Channar Khan's wrongdoings as if he did nothing wrong before he saw Zamda? Another flaw in this drama is that the govt officials are worried about wood smuggling but they don't bat an eye on such mass murdering even when they know the perpetrator was a woman with no political backing to stop them.

I think the dialogues at Chanar's death were fine because it was chanar's pov and in his head he probably thinks all that. Also because zambda did deny him. The problem lies in the last scene insinuating that zamda fell in love with chanar as well.
Also, I loved this episode of jaan e jahan. One of my favorite episodes that I've seen in recent times.
