Hey Nupur... So no baking powder or baking soda. Breads are made with yeast. So instant active yeast is the rising agent we are using for these breads.
Hey i made this bread twice. And i too had the similar issue of the dough being sticky.. and had to add quite a lot of flour to get it to be smooth. Should you knead it more in the bowl with a spatula before putting it on the surface and kneading it with hands?
Hey Disha... So once it takes the shape of a dough it's good enough to transfer to a slab. This dough is sticky and requires good kneading. If a lot of issue feel free to add little flour.
Hey! I tried making it twice but both the time with the quantity mentioned of water and milk made the dough extremely sticky. Had to add almost one whole extra cup of flour and knead for almost 20 mins. No doubt the result was very good. But why wasn’t my dough of your texture with the mentioned quantity?
Hey so did u use standard cup which is 240 ml water ? Also bread have to be kneaded properly. It is little sticky but u need to keep kneading it , it becomes okay after sometime. May be sprinkle 2-3 spoon flour extra max .....This is the perfect measurement and everyone has got it right so far, may be u added extra water by mistake ? Or not kneaded it enough
@@snehchhachan4406 Hey so this dough needs kneading na. It's a sticky dough ... You keep kneading it becomes fine gradually. If u add less water the end product won't be evey good.
Hey I think probably measurement ?? Something might have gone wrong. Just in case if too sticky add little flour to manage. Dought is going to be little sticky only initially but.
Very nice recipe !! 1) Will it turn out same if we substitute maida with whole wheat ? 2) And also if I reduce the maida qty to half shd I reduce yeast qty too ??
Thankyou Yasha. 1) You can do half aata and half maida... Completely whole wheat flour won't taste that good, also bread will be dense. 2) If u want to half the recipe everything will be half.
1.5 cup liquid ( 1 cup water + 1/2 cup milk ) and 3 cup maida. So maida is double na. Qty is double when u see cup wise Secondly In GM's the properties of both are different so their weight is different eg 1 cup water 240 but 1 cup maida 120. ... So Don't confuse, will be fine . And yes the dough will be little sticky.

I had similar experience, had to add more than 1 cup of flour extra and 2-4 tbsp extra oil too. Measurements were also correct still the same issue :(

Your dough is not sticking to the surface at all. Mine was quite sticky so it was difficult to roll it properly. What might be the problem?

Without brushing with milk or egg- will it give good brown top?
Hey coated with oil before baking. This works well :) If you wish you can coat with milk too
At wat temperature we need to bake
220 degrees pre heated oven for 20-25 mins till it turns brown

With 360 gms if Water and Milk and 360 gms of Maida (100% hydration) the dough will become very sticky and shagy to knead. Is that correct??
