Hello, are you familiar with Blake's Takes and his "Why you suck with "X" faction"? If so what are your thoughts on his videos and his latest on the Dwarves?
1. Blake's guides are sound and tactics work on every difficulty. 2. I've only had great interactions with him One of my highest recommends, please check out Blake's Take.
Regarding his Dwarfs video, I'll try to watch it tonight, but I have every confidence it'll be solid. Some points we'll have in common, others might be different, but we both recommend strategies that work on any difficulty so that just means more great conversations to be had!
@@ElvenPlotArmourYeah I watched his before yours and both are very similar starts. Just small nuances. I feel like your start might be a tad easier for newer players who aren't as skilled in micro. But basically the same.
Great guide. Agree with just about everything. Main thing I’ll argue for is you SHOULD rush confeds. I don’t think it’s a good strategy to sleep on it because the sooner you get the lords the more quest battles you can complete for each one. This allows you to net 500 grudges per battle along with lots of loot money and you snowball from there in terms of confederating. If you wait then you risk the AI completing it already and it can take a lot longer to confed
Thanks mate. The advice not to rush the confeds is more toward a player that isn't a seasoned dwarf player. You clearly know this race very well and would compound your successes with rushed confeds (tbf, I'd do the same if I were looking for a flex campaign) but I felt the most important message is for less familar players not just point and click those confed buttons as a poorly timed one (without the knowledge and skill to rectify) could crash a campaign that was going very well. Still, well explained and appreciate the numbers and context to demonstrate your point so well - I also found the confeds snowball if you take this approach and I should have expanded on this. Cheers mate!
10:30 I wanted to start another campaign again but, same thing happened. The curse of doing everything right. There is no way I can think this strategically, which dooms every campaign I start. I start to overextend to much and confuse myself with where to go and where to attack, and most importantly ,like you stated in this video, where to STOP. :(
Thanks for all the guides, I watched youre high elves guides and managed to get my first short victory campaign. I shall try out the dwarves next, keep up the good work !
Another fantastic video. Your content always conveys information so well, it always seems to make me want to have a go at whatever you’re doing! Question for you about character runes. I noticed you went for the run of parrying for melee defense; at the end of the day, is eight melee defense better than a 10% ward save?
Thanks mate. For the runes, it depends what you want the character to do. If it's being surrounded by hundreds of small models (rats or goblins) than that Melee Defence +8 is going to make them very hard to hit for everyone that swings at them. Ward Save is usually the grand-daddy of them all, but the increased melee defence at that stage of the game is enough to mitigate most harm and hold the line longer. The plan is to get both and stack them :)
@@ElvenPlotArmour great, thanks! Also, thanks for the tip on using ambush stance, that seems to be helping. Inevitably, the thing that makes me quit playing this game time and time again is dealing with the invisible, teleporting, instantly-created armies of the skaven or Orcs. It’s all so ridiculous and unfun, but moving in ambush helps a bit.
I tried a line of 3 grudge-breakers and 2 thunderers, it just deletes everything in front of it. I also added 3 engineers with grudge breakers to hold the line and melee infantry to the sides to defend the flanks. Its quite crazy, you should try it, or at least make a formations video with the updated troops + gyrocopters
really good advice all throug hte video ! Have you encountered any difficulties with the number of settled grudges required to reach the second grolengrom cycle ?
Thanks mate, honestly I didn't and even if you did, just do the other 2 quest battles. Those first 2 grudge settler armies really help cement your kingdom.
Could you please talk about or maybe direct me to a video that talks about the gruge mechanic? for some reason I go from 2k grudge to 30k grudge in like 3 age of reckonings. I understand about the mechanic of meeting new factions, fighting, etc. but it is hard to manage and understand the concepts of it.
An awesome video idea would be how to best use the dwarves new 'goblin hewer' artillery. I get a lot of kills, but after watching how to use the gyrocopter bombs, I'll bet you have a better setup than me😢
That's what I was thinking too. I've rushed it as my first deeps building every time, it's a super crazy steroid to your economy. It's effect doesn't stack, but it's always worth building one imo.
Thanks for the update. I need to crosscheck, but I think they've removed the cost reduction but have natively lowered the base cost on some Deeps buildings. Unconfirmed at this point but thanks again for the info!
hello i have a question since i bought all warhammer games in this last sale how come i cant play the free dlc from wh1 and wh2 do i have to install both games and keep em installed?and man its really hard to settle on a faction to learn the game Okay i got it going now
You're lucky. Before Clan Rictus declared on me I was already at war with the newest greenskin faction (basically Grimgor's replacement) who declared on me as soon as I'd taken out my first grenskin faction. Then Clan Mors piled on. Good times..................... not. I almost went bankrupt as I was losing settlements so fast my head was spinning.
Definitely and in a good way. It's still not quite back to WH2 standard, but I'm now seeing multiple armies coordinate together and attack vulnerable points, instad of sitting around and feeding 1 army at a time to you.
Hi! Just thought I should say that these guides are very helpful and I hope you can do guides like this for every lord. That would be dope as hell
Hoping you can god tier grimgor next :p
Thanks mate, I'll do my best ;)
Do you prefer 1 complete video [Guide + Walkthrough] or 2 separate videos for the next lord?
2 separate ones
I agree.
I like the 1 vid format, not overly long
I like the 1 video formar!

10:36 I love the idea of manipulating the geopolitical environment. It's so 200 IQ. It's like playing Tzeentch only without the cheats lol.
@strangestecho5088 yeah it is. I was shocked to see it in WH3. But overall I do like the changes to diplomacy over WH2.
I think a good majority of perceived "anti-player bias" could be cured by simply gifting to delicate faction or by aligning interests with foresight.

Hey stoked to help you find your feet. Dwarfs are an excellent faction for newer players and now very deep on the campaign map. Enjoy!
Thanks for the guides! Do you stream here or on Twitch?
I stream on YT when I can. Producing longform is easier for me to do and tends to do better, but I do occasionally stream. Appreciate the support.
Would love to see the thorgrim formations video. 😊

hey Elven, can you give some tips for the news orcs down below us? how should we change our first 10 turns

Damn, the Axe of Grimnirr really does need a buff, +6 MA is laughable
In the book you go!!
I am surprised you didn't chose the Guild Foundries as a priority too. It will really outshine the other buildings really fast.

Can you do one for belegar
Please do a throgg video!! I can’t for the life of me figure out how to kill the factions around him and I end up in war with like 7 people🥲
Reducing construction costs from the tinkerer's shops (and other sources) does not work at deeps.
Thanks for the update. I need to crosscheck, but I think they've removed the cost reduction but have natively lowered the base cost on some Deeps buildings. Unconfirmed at this point but thanks again for the info!

Bro, how does your engi have 7 restocks? Am I missing on something?

please make vampire pirates guide. Dwarf are really strong while vampire pirates suck so much
Have you found the difficulty harder since the lasted update?

Ikit claw 10 turns when?
