Yea he lost me with that one, that movie still holds up strong to this day wish the series reflected the movie more better suit designs, a strong storyline all the way throughout the movie, good fight scenes you really felt the pressure of what was at stake. Yeah but I like Matt. He was introduced in Go Go Power Rangers as Kim's first boyfriend and he broke things off with her because he know she was hiding something and wouldn't come clean to him. Plus I like the look of the upgraded Green Ranger and Dragonzord which leans even MORE into the Godzilla homage.

That would actually be a cool concept to see where Zordon allowed his negative feelings to overtake him like how Xavier became Onslaught in Marvel comics.
17:06 the original show nevwr had a thunder dragon zord since tommy had already moved on to bring the white ranger. Idk if the toys were connectable in that was back then but its a comic creation megazord, same as the white tiger dragon zord when matt and tommy fought together earlier

The Boom comics are awesome. You gotta think, a lot of us grew up in the 90’s, so these writers are trying to cater to an audience that has grown up. I think they’ve done a great job with these books.

The Green Ranger was the best ever! I remember being a little kid and being on holidays in Butlins for a week. I'd get up early every morning to watch 'Power Rangers' and it was the Green Ranger saga. When we got home after the hols my dad asked me what i'd enjoyed the most about the hols and I said the Dragon Zord! He still thinks it was an amusement rude pmsl.

1:30 Rob i will not tolerate power rangers slander 😂 power rangers definitely didn't peak with mighty morphin. However i remember a dip in quality in the second season Zeo the Turbo movie is good and there are many great episodes across Turbo, in Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, SPD, Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Jungle Fury and Operation Overdrive and I'm even missing some. To be fair i have not seen every single episode of the series i just mentioned, it was a weird time for tv I'm 22 and never got to watch each series start to finish on tv, and the dvds are hard to come by. But I'm currently watching Time Force and i have Operation Overdrive on dvd and watched it many times and they're both great i think they're both quite better than the original Mighty Morphin (MM) series. The original series has A LOT of filler i have it on dvd and i actually found an essential episode article on google which makes MM a much better watch.

I loved most of the recent movie, even the fact that Rita Repulsa was initially the FIRST Green Ranger. I would have loved to see her turn a different kid into a new secret Green Ranger, as well as seeing Lord Zed be another initial Ranger gone rogue, but oh well. There was talk about more Ranger movies, and I hope they do, but I doubt that will happen. I HATED seeing Goldar being a giant golden mess of a monster, though lol that was stupid

It's amazing how something that was kinda cheesy(sorry,I was 20 when PR came out)gets into the hands of a good comics writer and becomes hardcore! This, I'd watch faithfully.
Fun fact: The guys from "bat in the sun" productions created Lord Drakkon, and Saban stole their idea. They actually handed it over with a script for a comic book series. Saban rejected it but stole the Lord Drakkon concept/idea.
