Discovered something by accident today. double boss @ Sage's cave. One a black knife assassin. Those are invisible. My mimic tear ashes had been activated. I had "warming stones" in my quick inventory, he dropped one. Sure enough you could see the assassin when he got near it. You should drop that tip in when covering that cave. Thanks for all these guides. This game is amazing even for a 57 year old gamer.
That's actually a really good catch, thanks bro! In case you didn't know, you can also use the sentry's torch to reveal invisible enemies. It's purchaseable from the hermit merchant near Leyndell.

I'm not sure if u're also discussing the loot you can find on enemies, but the Cleanrot Knights in the heart of the swamp have a great set of armor and two very cool weapons (the spear on some and the sickle on others). Once you clear out the ash-summoning boss they're really easy to farm and give some great loot.
That scythe is so good. I was doing a faith/ dex build and that thing did so much damage. The L2 is also a great projectile, and it causes bleed! It’s very existence pretty invalidates the Winged Scythe haha
Dom, great video but you forgot to loot the Redmane painting in Sellia, this opens up the artist point below Fort Faroth for the ash of war Rain of Arrows.
Killing that giant troll is worth it because it permanently stays dead and stops throwing magic bombs on the ground below. Which is especially useful if you return to the lower area at night to fight the Deathbird(?) Boss.
I told all my elden ring playing friends about this channel and I said, "I guarantee that every single video will have at least two things you didn't find" and so far I've been right every time. This channel is amazing.
actually i think they just drop the runes the first time u kill them, after that they could drop another but its RNG, the first one is a 100% drop, so u have to make sure u dont kill them and make them go out a cliff or something cus then u lose those juicy runes
Not only did I miss some of this.... I missed this entire area of the game. The boss, Milicent's entire quest line, everything, ha ha! I just beat the game for the first time the other day and while I did ALMOST everything in the game on my first playthrough, I somehow completely missed Central Caelid. I even remember running by that big root area where O'Neil apparently is, and saying "That is obviously a boss arena, we'll come back there". And I just never did.
O Neil was a bastard for me. When the game came out I got trap chested and went galavanting around Caelid way too early of level. He made me his lover for an entire afternoon. I cheesed him....not even embarrassed about that one lol

A couple of points. That church is the single best location in the game to get Sacramental Buds which do not respawn and are used in the Preserving Boluses recipe. Extremely valuable. Also that Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling combo can be cheesed out of Caelid early on and give a budding Sorcerer a hot start. Super powerful for pretty low requirements. I was using it deep into the game to stagger dragons.
Meteorite Staff is SO GOOD if you can grab it early. For sorcerers, this will carry you through the entire first half of the game until you level up another top tier staff (like Lusat's) to about +5 or +6. Meteorite staff has base S int sorcery scaling but you can't level it up, which is actually a great weight off your shoulders. Even if you eventually level up another staff to be stronger, the Meteorite is still the game's only grav-boosting staff so it's still worthwhile to use for grav spell loadouts.
Ha, just started my second play through at 300+ hrs after thinking i got everything...... didnt even know there was a boss in Selina.. Keep up the hard work my dude, we love ya for it!
IME, fighting Capt Neil via calling a summon, staying on Torrent, and just circling him and riding in to heavy attack smack him then riding off again and again and again and again is the safest way for if you're not leveled/geared up beyond the average.

Hey Dom! Just to the North of the church, up the hill along the mountainside, you forgot a hidden cave with 3x crystal boss fight. It's just over to the right of the wind lift you take to the dragons.
Been waiting for this! Love the content Edit: you can use the poison mist to sneak behind the boss and poison him to death with out aggroing him heavy cheese but it works. 👍

There's a summon for the Comander O'neil fight that he missed near the site of grace he visited after beating him. Just walk from that grace toward the arena and circle around the large tree to the right.

North of the Millicent's church beyond the graveyard there's a hidden cave behind an illusory wall and wardened by an archmage. That cave is important in Sellen's quest and have great loot

There is a secret cave in Caelid near Sellia, at the top of a hill, at the very end of a path that goes through a big graveyard area, behind an illusory wall that is disguised as part of the cliffside. You will know you found the right place because there is one of those BIG wizard enemies there. Go past him behind the large tombstone and hit the cliff face. It is an extremely cool hidden area, not like any other caves in the game... Perhaps it is technically in north Caelid and hence not in this video, I'm not sure. Edit: You get the clue about this hidden cave from one of the merchant's notes that costs runes, don't remember which merchant.
I must have completely missed the Swamp Lookout Tower, so thanks for the heads up! I'm a pure strength/tank build, so Eternal Darkness will have to wait until I respec, I guess. 😎👍🏻
I finally went on the Fextralife Elden Ring wiki. Got to see all the sites of Grace, Tombs, bosses, and weapons that I missed in just Liernia and lakes. I'm 200hrs in. To collect everything and do all the dungeons, this is a six month game, man. Unreal.
So I just finished Volcano Manor (haven’t even set foot in the capital yet) and I just crossed the 200 hour mark. This game is absolutely murder if you have OCD and you aren’t using a guide haha
You can summon one of Millicent's sisters in O'Neil's boss fight. If you enter near where the Inner Aeonia grace site (NW of boss fight) is you should see a glowing sign you can summon.
Yup i discovered that big old skull while doing something else entirely. Its funny when you see interesting stuff on your first play through and next thing you know you have spent 4 hours detouring from one landmark to another🤣
The commander boss only summons spirts 2 times during the fight and if you given Millicent the Needle the invader form will not spawn. Also, killing the troll is permanent and after that he will no longer be raining jars down on you when you’re down below
the thing about the top area with the forsaken and giant throwing pots (doesn't respawn) is, you can safely kill the death bird from the top of the head.
You should take a detour to the merchant at Mohg's palace. He has an unlimited supply of Dwelling arrows for your Horn Bow. That is, if you are still using it.
The giant near the gate of the academy is a pin, while I am up there I would kill him, he never respawns and you can go in and out of the gate without too much trouble. There is a Hideaway near that church you missed, it was a PAIN, I had to go back later and redo it, the mage near there will kill you if you are too overconfident too.
The swamp has a ravine with a starbear (whatever they are called) that is guarding a stone key. Also, next to that is the well that leads underground, but I think you only can access it first from underground because you'll need a stone key to unlock the lift.
You can actually completely cheese the commander, there's a point near the entrance to the central swamp that's adjacent to his area that's accessable by jumping on a couple of roots, from there it's just a matter of firing arrows into him until his dead as his attacks cannot hit you and like 98% of his summons can't figure out how to reach you. Sorry for the vaguely described description for where you can do this but it's quite an awkward thing to describe.

You can kite Commander O'Neil into the geysers in the swamp and they'll do large chunks of damage to him. As long as your careful I think it only takes 7-10 geysers to kill him.
Gowry also sells a really nice spell that is helpful against the virgin robots. Sorry, "virgin robots", I can't remember what they're actually called. The ones that have blades on chains for arms, and run around like a roomba. Anyway the spell is, night maiden's mist. It breaks the posture of those robot ladies which is great in coop because your mates can wail on her while she's a sitting duck after the posture break. You must finish Gowry's quest to open up his shop. The rewards are great if you finish it in early game. Night maiden's mist is also a good spell for stealth. Sneak up on a hoard of enemies, and shoot them with it. Chaos will ensue, and the smaller enemies will be dead, leaving the big enemies to be dealt with by other means.
Commander O’Niel gave me such a hard time with his adds. If you need help with him there is an NPC summon near the northwest corner of that Boss area. Poylanna.

They've got a sword too, and its really easy to farm around 10 of them on horseback from a nearby sight of grace.
Theres one near the grace close to the merchant, he gets out of the swamp you can get a ton of dmg into him before he even starts fighting you

the halo scythe is one of the best for dex/fth builds, enenmie running toward you just throw some lazer disc and reduce half it hp

The harpy/ singing type bats actually drop Golden Runes with frequency. High numbered ones too. They're worth dealing with for that, in my opinion.

9:40 well there is some loot of worth. The white old lady bats always drop a rune lvl 9 the first time you kill them

The giant near the gate of the academy is a pin, while I am up there I would kill him, he never respawns and you can go in and out of the gate without too much trouble. There is a Hideaway near that church you missed, it was a PAIN, I had to go back later and redo it, the mage near there will kill you if you are too overconfident too.

The swamp has a ravine with a starbear (whatever they are called) that is guarding a stone key.
Also, next to that is the well that leads underground, but I think you only can access it first from underground because you'll need a stone key to unlock the lift.
Where do you unlock it from?
@@SugeryGold if you have the Siofra river bank lost grace unlocked, go east all the way to the end. There's a platform and a stone key statue there.

These videos continue to make me realize I missed like 1/4 of this games content 110 hours in.
You can actually completely cheese the commander, there's a point near the entrance to the central swamp that's adjacent to his area that's accessable by jumping on a couple of roots, from there it's just a matter of firing arrows into him until his dead as his attacks cannot hit you and like 98% of his summons can't figure out how to reach you. Sorry for the vaguely described description for where you can do this but it's quite an awkward thing to describe.
In the town of sorcery there is also a painting blocked off by a seal.

Up the hill past the church of the plague there’s a mage protecting a hidden cave that is part of sellens questline.
Each of the hag bats will drop a beefy golden rune the first time you kill them.
I got GR 6 first time I killed them
You can kite Commander O'Neil into the geysers in the swamp and they'll do large chunks of damage to him. As long as your careful I think it only takes 7-10 geysers to kill him.
Or do what I did… stand on that tree branch and just shoot arrows at him as he just stands there unable to walk up the hill 🤣
Gowry also sells a really nice spell that is helpful against the virgin robots. Sorry, "virgin robots", I can't remember what they're actually called. The ones that have blades on chains for arms, and run around like a roomba. Anyway the spell is, night maiden's mist. It breaks the posture of those robot ladies which is great in coop because your mates can wail on her while she's a sitting duck after the posture break. You must finish Gowry's quest to open up his shop. The rewards are great if you finish it in early game.
Night maiden's mist is also a good spell for stealth. Sneak up on a hoard of enemies, and shoot them with it. Chaos will ensue, and the smaller enemies will be dead, leaving the big enemies to be dealt with by other means.

When you come out of sella tunnel cave and follow the wall right you will see a invisible scarub you can hit and get poison slash from it
Commander O’Niel gave me such a hard time with his adds. If you need help with him there is an NPC summon near the northwest corner of that Boss area. Poylanna.
