  • Make your own scissor lift table. Heavy duty steel construction for universal purposes powered by air. Hidden in the floor for workbench space saving. Remote controller with double lock mechanism.

Production value deserves an Emmy, and, if shown in movie theaters, will probably, receive an Oscar. Foot is worthy of honorable mention.

I could see me installing a rack for extendable magnets and grabbing tongs to retrieve all the stuff that drops or rolls into the pit.

Very professional job, i take it you don't have any plans available ? have two 100mm bore x 300mm stroke air pistons, that i would love to utilize in a lift table like the one you have designed .
And I, like ( Justa mechanic) am curious to know what safety mechanisms you employed on your build..All the best and many thanks for taking the time to document the project in such detail.

Well done Tom, that was lots of hard work! I'd like to take your idea a step further or deeper actually. I'm considering a much deeper hole to store a car under ground with a platform above it to double up parking and use it as a conventional lift with the car below removed.

Hey Tom, I was going to build one of these, but said screw it. I ordered a double decker scissor lift that's 190"x80", wanna come help dig the hole? :-p

Here is the video of testing the lower deck! It made it out of Shandong before they locked down and is on the Maersk Memphis! th-cam.com/video/muwvC5IoZDk/w-d-xo.html

Such inspirational music. Does that song play every time the table rises?

I'm afraid not, but to be honest, the idea intrigued me...

How would that handle a car parking on it such as my 4Runner? It’d be nice to put something like this in the center bay of my garage but I do park that vehicle in that spot.

Tom, your pneumatics don't look safe. What happens when a line ruptures?

      Hi Larry,
After the table is lifted, the mechanical safety devices in the form of two steel profiles blocking the lower load-bearing beam are unfolded. The table is raised slightly higher in order to be able to go open, then the air is disconnected and the table falls on the safety devices.

@@tombuilder8407, great to hear. I'll sleep better tonight not worried you are in the garage yelling for help (or worse) - LOL). I may build my own version. I'd like to try air over oil to compressed air doesn't cause varied movement with weight changes or the angle it's pushing form. Great idea, thanks.
