Ben and Erin are so mindful of their clients' wishes and needs that they reached deep into their own pockets to give him those glasses that would enable their color blind client the ability to see color. That attention to detail and consideration is inspiring.😆💚
I love how they try to integrate passed love ones as well. Like, how they got a blanket embroidered with their client's late husband's hand writing!! I cried SO hard during the reveal of that episode!!!!

I have color blindness in my family (I don’t have it, but my father does), and I have watched several videos on TH-cam of people putting those glasses on and seeing color properly for the first time in their lives. It’s usually a very emotional thing for them. He was so blasé. Maybe they rehearsed that part so it wouldn’t take away from the emotion of seeing the beautiful house?
I've heard it can take some people a while to even be able to see the new colors, and of course some colors are more outstanding to them. It can also affect them very deeply so that they can't even express it. I think he was very touched, even though they just showed a second of his reaction.

Side note: I have been a construction trainee on many projects. I've never seen construction jobs that we've done where no one wears PPE (personal protective equipment)...hard hats, steel toed boots, gloves, goggles, etc. I guess this is just for TV. If someone were to get banged with a beam or a roof implodes or flooring gives underneath them, they're in serious trouble.
Okay, I understand why they want to keep the original cabinet intact but I hate a dishwasher that's placed steps away from the sink! Cut into the cabinet and slide it over.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DO A NEW RENOVATION AND install a used door, used porch wood from the deck and more. In TH-cam we don't see the part when Ben and Erin give to the new owner how much will cost the whole RENOVATION of the house but on tv you I see it.I will spect everything new not reused old wood, or doors etc , and they do that in every renovation. they not doing it for free.
I remember an executive suite where the telephone came in as some kind of a very striking turquoise color. And the man who worked in that office loved the color so much that he had all the walls and the floor and the furniture painted to match the telephone, obviously so he could see those things and enjoy them. Color blindness is a hidden burden for sure.
Ugh...why has she started painting the trim! It's so faddish. I like her and usually like her stuff but I hate the color painted trim. Honestly, that sitting room is a rare instance in which I like the before better.

It takes about 15 min before the mind starts seeing through the color correct glasses. It is not an instant thing. Beautiful house!
