Just discovered the show recently. Things that stand out from the rest of the HGTV home shows... 1. It's not just about fixing up a house for profit. It's about history and continuing the next chapter in a story 2. You can genuinely feel the connection and love between the two of them 3. Learn to value the old and bring it into the new 4. Big things can be accomplished a small step at a time
You had me at "sike", Thank Goodness I am not the only one that still says it. You guys are great:) Everyone was, i enjoyed the camaraderie and beautiful make over of course.
I just love this show! Ben and Erin are so fun and sweet and talented and their passion and caring personalities come through in both their designs and presentations. Their clients are all so blessed to have them! ❤🏚➡️🏡
Love how you take what you have and make it better. I have been doing that with my rental houses in the country for years. It is economical and you never forget the joy you have with that idea. I live in California and want you to build me a house somewhere perhaps Laurel Mississippi.
Looks like it leads into an office, but it would be nice to have it explained. Hopefully it is not the only access! Probably explained better on the full show.
Ben and Erin y'all are Exceptional at what y'all do💥💥💥 Please Please Please wear Hard hats when y'all are demoling swinging sledge hammers 😳 We Need you guys Y'all are AMAZING and We LOVE YALL💥💥💥
The dining room color matched the woman's shirt who owns the house. For me, I didn't like the dining room color or the fireplace tile; it was waaayyy to Busy. & with the designs of the couch pillows, really Clashed with the fireplace. Living in Mississippi, they're going to want Screening on their porch if they want to sit outside & eat or drink. I did Love💖the little door leading to that room.
That secret panel door, should, IMO, have had the hinges on the inside rather than the outside for a seamless look, and, then very few would have noticed it at all.
Hate all designers setting up living rooms with one chair and one couch. So you can invite a single friend over. Just saw the same thing on Houzz. Owner has brother, wife and 3 kids come over. That one set up round table for 4. Floor eating? Living room possibly room for 4 to sit, since one is a kid. Owner is a known chef.
The MDF is pretty standard roof decking. They did proper waterproofing flashing over it before putting on new shingles. That's pretty much where the water damage was localized, and the rest of the roof was in pretty good shape, so it was a perfectly adequate, budget-friendly solution that will last for years until they can afford to redo the whole roof. :)
Wendy Ramirez I understand what you’re saying and “Storage” might work for you. However this young couple is/was extremely attached to their church where they used to live and this was a very thoughtful addition for them. The house was re-done with them in mind. 😊
I find it hilarious that these shows expect people to believe the home owners spend all this money and have to say or any idea what theyre getting 😂😂😂 yeah okay

I wholeheartedly agree!
they are the best couple ever.... so soft and genuine with one another. You can see their love and respect for one another.
We all need a Ben in our lives :* Just love the guy to pieces :*
Ben: Cuz that's some fine Kool-Aid. 😂
And of course it was the homeowner's favorite part too!!! 😂
Besides Ben being incredibly talented, he is unbelievably funny. I love him!!!
That little door is priceless, good idea Ben. Thank you for a pretty home to share with us.
Ben has incredible skills and Erin has the best taste in color coordination and decoration. Great job all.
I'm not always happy with Erin's choices, but she's an artist alright.
You completely honored the original design and respectfully added to it. It so wonderful.
The home was gorgeous, but it was Brooke that made it worthwhile to watch. Her joy is infectious!
That’s some fine cool-aid!! 🤣
I love the secret door, the kitchen and how you matched the rise of the stairs in the kitchen nook really clever and stylish
You both have magic. You seriously turn everything into a magical space
this is one of my favorite houses...looooove the style
The hidden door and the church pews ❤️❤️
You had me at "sike", Thank Goodness I am not the only one that still says it. You guys are great:) Everyone was, i enjoyed the camaraderie and beautiful make over of course.
The homeowner was so happy that she made me happy for her!
The are honestly the best, I love love love how they make all these beautiful homes look like they were always meant to look that way
I just love this show! Ben and Erin are so fun and sweet and talented and their passion and caring personalities come through in both their designs and presentations. Their clients are all so blessed to have them! ❤🏚➡️🏡

That last little bit 9:34 is sooo soo great! It brings out all the competitive urges to win at Hide and Seek with our kids! It's a great reveal!
Amazing job..love the hidden door!
That hidden door was something I didn't know I needed until now!
I could watch these all day!
The greatest show & Ben & Erin make it so!

Love how you take what you have and make it better. I have been doing that with my rental houses in the country for years. It is economical and you never forget the joy you have with that idea. I live in California and want you to build me a house somewhere perhaps Laurel Mississippi.
Ben is awsome!😂😂😂😂😂😍😍😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I want that door but I don’t wanna tell my kids and my husband.
lol hilarious
Yup. A hideaway with no dishes or food prep...

I have a feeling there is a reason the porch was screened 😂
Mississippi mosquitoes.
@@ImNotaRussianBot Big as toads.
😂😂 you made my head spin 🤔
Yeah! MOSQUITOES! 🤣
Time for TH-cam bug-zapper ads 😂
Wonderful details, a work of genius
The dining nook 😍😍
NICE EXTERIOR COLOR AND PORCH IS VERY HOMEY AND RELAXING.THE EAT-IN BANQUETTE IS A NICE TOUCH....MAXIMIZING SPACE IS KEY!😉❤
glad how he kept the door. it was meant too be there but made better.
I love the little comments like “hide and seek, where did you go , secret door”! Hahahaha! Awesome!!❤️
I wish we could've heard more about that "hidden" room, why it was there, why the door was so small, maybe a before shot.
It's probably some kind of utility access or something
Looks like it leads into an office, but it would be nice to have it explained. Hopefully it is not the only access! Probably explained better on the full show.
@@annnewton2878 I’d say there definitely has to be another access to that office because they never got furniture through that itty bitty door
looks to me like the room was divided in the past and that is half of the original door to the office.
Oh my goodness. That’s so neat
Are we not going to talk about how the basement stairs between the kichen and dinning room just vanished??
Love the room & door 🚪 😍 💕
Ben and Erin y'all are Exceptional at what y'all do💥💥💥 Please Please Please wear Hard hats when y'all are demoling swinging sledge hammers 😳 We Need you guys Y'all are AMAZING and We LOVE YALL💥💥💥
I love the banquette. I also love the fireplace surround tile and am looking for the source to buy it from.
Best house ever!
Fantastic work
Why go gray in the kitchen when the other tiles are colorful? I love that booth!
Gorgeous!!!
Ich liebe die zwei!❤️
Adoro esse casal, fazem um trabalho maravilhoso. Parabéns.
How clever!!
In that tiny door. I would use prayer room.
All 4 of them I HOPE to be GREAT FRIENDS
Beautiful....
Awesome

I did Love💖the little door leading to that room.
All porches need screen to keep out mosquitoes, flies & birds who fly into the glass windows - can't enjoy coffee or tea when being bitten
Notice that Ben didn't try the hidden door for size?
Stunning
Intrigued with design of the house and why the secret door/room was ever built....
That secret panel door, should, IMO, have had the hinges on the inside rather than the outside for a seamless look, and, then very few would have noticed it at all.
They all talk so funny it’s cute. Says the Northerner. Every house needs a hidden Room that awesome!! Great remodel.
You are my favorite!!❤
WHo fits in that door? lol Id get rid of it ..... or get stuck in it lol
I know right? he better stay that size or else, Gains a little and won't be able to fit
You used the same taps in the kitchen sink
So funny.
How did they get the furniture through that small door?

Exterior a win.
Most of interior a win.
Living room...not so much.
Legendas em português, por favor
But the porch screen means you can sit out & drink coffee or tea etc & keeps away flies, mosquitoes, wasps, critters & birds that hit the glass.
👏👏👏
The babyshit brown color in the dining room is just lovely
Cheap ply on roof repair?

Miraba mucho este programa pienso que esta pareja es increíble pero ya no lo veo por ser en inglés y solo se español es una pena
And then. Put a metal roof on!!!!
over very nice looking, but the fireplace is too busy for my taste...
Drink that Kool-aid!!!
Theydidsomthing
Por favor que sea en español
No on the breakfast table. Way to hard to squeeze into. What if she was pregnant, she would never get to sit

Really like this show. The only negative was church pews for the breakfast nook...booth style with storage would have been better.
Wendy Ramirez

How come walls are made of wood in the West? 🙄
Unskilled work.
I find it hilarious that these shows expect people to believe the home owners spend all this money and have to say or any idea what theyre getting 😂😂😂 yeah okay
But how do u close the panel?
