- Erin contacts her artist friend Shawn so he can help her create a backsplash wallpaper inspired by Spanish tile design that will make the house they are remodelling a lot more beautiful.

They cut off legs off an antique dresser.
They have saved this crumbling old building beautifully and sympathetically restored it to perfection but you grumble about some antique legs. Ok whatever dude 🤷🏽♀️

1) You've misused the term 'restored'.
2) Yes, antiques matter. This was a terrible thing to do.
3) Designers aren't gods to be worshipped and there were other stumbling points in this redo.
'I agree i can't believe he ruined that antique. 'Plus the two styles "(cut off legs'/ antique) do not go with each other. Cut off legs is modern.

Everything that this couple touches they turn absolutely to gold. the handmade wallpaper blew me out of the water and everything that was hand maid is beyond impressive. As an interior designer I am absolutely addicted to their remodels

I appreciate the thought that goes into each home. Each home is so custom. I love when they repurpose materials, like the windows, and create something special. I just love every single episode.
I love the way Erin's mind works. How she thought to contact that artist for a backsplash. She is such a good designer. And Ben is SUCH a good carpenter! These are such good gifts from God that they lovingly bring to the world. They are my favorite duo!
I just looooove that they use a Walter Anderson art piece in almost every home.
I have seen several different episodes of these HGTV's... but I feel that these 2 (this married couple) really are talented!!
She has some wonderful creative ideas and he has an advantage with all his wood working abilities.

I am a bit curious about all the open porches in Mississippi ... don’t they have a LOT of bugs????
I rarely spent time outdoors when I lived in Central Alabama. Too hot, too many mosquitoes. Some people have screened porches.
I was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. We joke that the mosquito is the state bird. No one sits on an unscreened porch at night. You’d need a blood transfusion.
Agreed. Them getting rid of an enclosed porch with lots of windows just seems backwards. At the least they should have put screens on.
And, while I didn't like the busy pattern of the wallpaper, I think the process of making it was super cool.
But lovely reno otherwise.
Also, thoroughly enjoyed the friendly banter between them in regards to the normal size blocks, lol 😂
How precious are they? I love their relationship and work dynamic with each other. They’re both so lovely. Makes me miss home.

To alllll interior designer in HGTV I only love that Erin's DESIGN and Ben creativity.. She knows how to combine, to organize all things, she put calming colors and paintings. She's so smart so creative and ps:she put Love to her works always and I see that, 💖I love her works always promise👍👍👍👍

Ohhh so gorgeous!!! Not so much the kitchen backsplash maybe it’s just the color not a fan of teal/turquoise but those cabinets that he built are just life !!!
The house is very classy. The only thing I don’t like is backsplash. They could have ordered real Spanish tiles instead of using wallpaper
Ah, another couple where the woman pulls the guy by the shorties, she wants stuff re-modelled, & Homie wishes he could be anywhere else, not pretending to be thrilled on National TV. Grow a pair guys, do you think your Fathers were yanked around like that. My Dad was in the Army in WW2 , I'd never let him see me sniveling around....🤨🤨
It seems like you are projecting your own issues/bad experiences onto these couples. It's their life, you don't see inside their heads.

I like the wallpaper, but not as a backsplash. One spatter, and it's ruined. Unless I'm missing something, and it has some kind of protection.
