    The video is fast, good and to the point BUT you should add the torque values somewhere in the comments or lower section.
    You don't have to do them just give the info.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, it is not possible to specify the tightening torque, this information can be found in the technical documentation for the repair of your car.

    Does this include ABS sensors, or is there extra steps for this? I'm facing a massive bill on my Passat 2010 110hk right now, and if I could save around 50-100% of a monthly salary, that'd be great.
    Also, if you're changing the brake discs on the rear of the same car, is there any conflicts with the handbrake? I remember running into some issues there when I tried to change the rear discs on my Peugeot 407 from 2007, my Passat has electronic P-break though.

      @autodocuk  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your feedback! In whole the replacement is similar, but there can be differences in car constructions. Therefore, you need necessarily all the specific tools to successfully carry out the replacement and parts mounting.If you have an electrical handbrake, then you need to turn off it in the system and then to carry out the dismantling. Best regards, Autodoc.

      Thanks for responding! I found a video where one of the parts sellers in my country showed how to do it while using the same model as my car for demonstration. :)

    No torque spec again. And just to let you all know there is a washer behind the bearing it sits between the bearing and spindle. Nothing like all the “experts” you talk to and no one not even the guy you order the parts from is smart enough to tell you. If you do not install this you will have play in the wheel and a horrible thumping noise as the wheel rotates.

      Thank you for the feedback! Thank you for your valuable remark, we understand that it is a rough mistake. Our new videos will include this information and also will show how to work with a torch wrench and specify tightening torques. Best regards, Autodoc.

    • @zirahvi
      @zirahvi 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait! This might just explain why a bearing I had replaced exactly one year ago has worn out already. (Play in the wheel and occasional clanky sounds.) So it might have been improperly installed. Do you have any links/pointer to diagrams/documents that would show the washer placement clearly? Would help greatly when I need to argue with the shop and prove that they've made a mistake in the installation.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your feedback! To save the time in the video some stages of the repairs might have been excluded.. In practice the torque wrench should be used. Best Regards, Autodoc.

    This looks like it's for the FWD variant, right? Presumably without ABS in the back. The AWD version with ABS on all four wheels would use a different wheel bearing, with four attachment bolts and a sensor, correct?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your feedback! Thats right, The design of the rear hub is the same as you said with four attachment bolts and an integrated magnetic sensor. Best regards, Autodoc.

      Hi! In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing may be slightly different in the design features of your car. More accurate information can be obtained in the technical documentation for the car or by contacting the service.

    My passat b6 makes a noise when at around 40 to 50 mph coming from the rear. It sounds like a hollow wobbling kind of noise. Is it the bearing or the tyre making the noise or something else. Someone said its to do with the geometry but what the hell does that mean???

    That's it? That's all there is to removing a rear bearing on an FWD B6 Passat? Dang this job looks like a piece of cake walk. But, Im concerned about the Washer replacement issue I see referenced in the comments here. What is the VW OEM Part number for this "Washer" ? Does the washer easily remove?

      Thank you for your comment and attention to the details! We agree that this is a big mistake, the caliper should be hung with a hook so as not to damage the brake hose, in the new videos we will definitely show it.
