Jf17 b block 3 is very close to be made it will have dual seats air to air fueling prob and hopefully aesa rader which will make it a 4.5 generation fighter what Turkey and Pakistan both need is a self made 5 generation stealth fighter i think turkey shudint buy any thing and start working with Pakistan n develop a turk+pak 5th gen fighter jet

Argentina should get this plane, it's affordable and competitive. It's not gonna be exactly like an F-16 but for sure it'd be much better than 40 year old Kfir's or F-1's as they have been mentioned in the news about Argentina negotiations.
The only way Argentina can get good fighters is buying from the east because in the west plane makers are allied to the UK.
You are right. If u r affordable, jf-17 can come with 800 t/r units AESA, a head mounted display, full digital FBW system, a better ws-13 engine for more thrust. But this will cost around 40-50 mil per piece, although still 50% cheaper than the latest f-16 aesa versions.

JF 17 Block 1 is a 4th Gen Jet & is almost equal to F-16 block 52 in Performance. But Block 2(4+ Generation Jet) is equal to F-16 block 60 in performance in some term it is better than F-16 block 60. Now, Pakistan has developed JF 17B which is dual seat variant with AESA RADAR which is much better than any f-16 and is comparable with 4.5 Generation Jet. In 2018-19 Pakistan will unveil JF 17 Thunder Block 3( 4++ Generation Jet) in this jet Pakistan is using the technology of chines J-31(5th Generation Jet) this Jet will be near to 5th Generation Jet in term of Technology & Performance. A Good Thing about JF 17 THUNDER is that this Jet is 1/3rd at the price of its competitors.
And pakistan will not stop the supples we know how u feel this is exactly what USA did with pakistan we have 80+ F16s n USA promised us more but they put sanctions on us because we made nuclear bombs thats why pakistan was left with no choise then to make a fighter jet of our own which would not even resemble but even surpass f16 capablities in future

Well, Block 3 would be far more upgraded than Block 2. It'd have an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, Helmet Mounted Display and Sight (HMD/S) system, and possibly an additional hard-point suitable for specialized targeting and tracking pods, along with upgraded EW/ECM suite. It'd also use 5th generation AAMs like PL-10 and A-Darter (if its development is done). It'd also be a two seater aircraft.
But hey, you have a point. Talking is easy. I guess we'd just have to wait and see it for ourselves :)

Спасибо разработчиком, такого истрибителя как, ЧФ - 17, "Тандербол". Ктайцы совместно с Пакистанцами разработали величайший истрибител не хуже, чем, всякий аналогов, одномоторного двигателя 4 ++ даже 5 поколения !!!

Never knew this jet would progress so much. Block 3 has been revealed and the jets looks promising with low price, maintenance and running cost. Its a jack of all trades but must admit master of none. Still very great achievement.

China's jet engine industry will get to a big upper stage within 5~10 years, when that day coming , FC-1 will have a big forward, J31 & FC1 all need new mid output engine.

This is just the head start for pakistan. Pakistan want ro play major role in domestic military production the initial blocks1and2 will be used as interceptions as upcoming block s are produced with better avionics and more powerfull engines
This is just the block 2… the block 3 is coming up - a more powerful engine, bigger wingspan, much improved avionics, larger air intakes, much more use of composites, AESA Radar, Air to air refuelling, one extra hard point, a new cockpit with an HUD used in the J10C and J20, a newly designed landing gear system, missile approach warning system, access to advanced Chinese missiles (pl10, pl15) as well as an improved electronic warfare suite will make the new thunder one of the most advanced 4.5 generation single engine fighters on the planet!!
