We don't need to lie. We could exaggerate and say we killed five or ten or hundred, fact is we used aircraft designed and built in late nineties and mid two thousands against ageing sixties and seventies aircraft. Chinese and Pakistan has modern tooling CAD/CAM plus latest material technology, and latest weapons. Also we have experience of decades of combat flying this know how helped in drawing up specification to suit Pakistan, this aircraft was designed for Pakistani condition and affordability. China has far superior aircraft which they can afford to use, also they have much larger land area to patrol and protect. JF17 is perfect for Pakistan both effective and affordable. We do use F16 for high altitude cover, but that is rare as at start of any conflicts why put on flight hours on F16 as spares at best are expensive and depends on whims of lunatic politicians in USA. JF17 is more then adequate to deal with anything India throws up. Plus no resupply issues also we can field JF17s in large numbers should need arise. F16 is ageing platform, still good but also expensive to fly. JF17 is excellent platform similar performance to F16 and F18 and JF17's has incorporated and improved on F16 and F18's design features. JF17 is lot cheaper field then F16 and F18. Pakistan wisely collaborated with China to meet air defence needs. India defence strategy is decided by politicians whose aim is to secure their seat. Pakistan's defence strategy is decided by soldiers, scientist, engineers lead and managed by technocrats from the military, Pakistan military cannot afford the luxury of corruption that comes with civilian politicians, so we keep politicians at long distance, that's why our military runs every industry from tanks to cement factories, food production to electronic industry. Our military work hard to provide best defence for the nation, that means good training, best weapons systems to meet any challenge nation faces. Its closer to the J-7 and mig 21 as the base of its airframe is almost the same with a few differences. Also its aerodynamic shape is different. Its intake and engine are of russian design aswell as its armaments.

Guys; JF17 is a great airplane, perfect platform to develop into a formidable fighter to match modern jets like the Rafale. It has successfully replaced the A5s, F7s and soon enough all of the Mirages, besides adding more squadrons of a very capable aircraft. When the JF17 was in design and building phase, the adversary inducted Su30mki. The aircrart design was tweaked to match the Indian version of the Russian plane. JF17 is a proven fighter and here to prevail InshaAllah. However on the morning of Feb 27 2019, it was the F16s that did what it set out to, bringing down both Mig 21 and SU30MKI. The Mig fell in Pakistan whereas the Su30mki vanished off radar following few tight turns after an AMRAAM went after it. The missile radar confirmed contact. Indian Military later ridiculously flashed its clearly identifiable fragments on national tv to 'complain' to the US that Pakistan had used F16s in combat, as though the PAF had spent all that money to buy for F16 joyrides. Su30mkil fell into india and was initially reported by the Indian media to have been shot down by an F16. JF17 launched the Mk83 whereas the Mirage 3 let the H4 standoff weapons into enemy targets in what rattled the adversary enough for them to shoot their own aircraft in panic and confusion. Arrogance and self awareness never go hand and in hand. May Allah honor Pakistan always. Ameen.

We don't need to lie. We could exaggerate and say we killed five or ten or hundred, fact is we used aircraft designed and built in late nineties and mid two thousands against ageing sixties and seventies aircraft. Chinese and Pakistan has modern tooling CAD/CAM plus latest material technology, and latest weapons. Also we have experience of decades of combat flying this know how helped in drawing up specification to suit Pakistan, this aircraft was designed for Pakistani condition and affordability. China has far superior aircraft which they can afford to use, also they have much larger land area to patrol and protect. JF17 is perfect for Pakistan both effective and affordable. We do use F16 for high altitude cover, but that is rare as at start of any conflicts why put on flight hours on F16 as spares at best are expensive and depends on whims of lunatic politicians in USA. JF17 is more then adequate to deal with anything India throws up. Plus no resupply issues also we can field JF17s in large numbers should need arise. F16 is ageing platform, still good but also expensive to fly. JF17 is excellent platform similar performance to F16 and F18 and JF17's has incorporated and improved on F16 and F18's design features. JF17 is lot cheaper field then F16 and F18.

Pakistan's defence strategy is decided by soldiers, scientist, engineers lead and managed by technocrats from the military, Pakistan military cannot afford the luxury of corruption that comes with civilian politicians, so we keep politicians at long distance, that's why our military runs every industry from tanks to cement factories, food production to electronic industry.
Our military work hard to provide best defence for the nation, that means good training, best weapons systems to meet any challenge nation faces. Our military structure is family based, we will never under equip or under train our soldiers, we made those mistakes in our nations "teenage years" our military is more pragmatic now and knows you cannot defend your country or protect yourself with did bullets, India can afford luxury of corruption, we cannot as our life depends on providing best bang for the Rupee.

@@joeblowme5427 not really. Yes it has some roots from the f-16 program as the US decided to fund the program from its begining. But overall its quite different. Its closer to the J-7 and mig 21 as the base of its airframe is almost the same with a few differences. Also its aerodynamic shape is different. Its intake and engine are of russian design aswell as its armaments.

The plane is fantastic!
Guys; JF17 is a great airplane, perfect platform to develop into a formidable fighter to match modern jets like the Rafale. It has successfully replaced the A5s, F7s and soon enough all of the Mirages, besides adding more squadrons of a very capable aircraft.
When the JF17 was in design and building phase, the adversary inducted Su30mki. The aircrart design was tweaked to match the Indian version of the Russian plane. JF17 is a proven fighter and here to prevail InshaAllah.
However on the morning of Feb 27 2019, it was the F16s that did what it set out to, bringing down both Mig 21 and SU30MKI. The Mig fell in Pakistan whereas the Su30mki vanished off radar following few tight turns after an AMRAAM went after it. The missile radar confirmed contact. Indian Military later ridiculously flashed its clearly identifiable fragments on national tv to 'complain' to the US that Pakistan had used F16s in combat, as though the PAF had spent all that money to buy for F16 joyrides. Su30mkil fell into india and was initially reported by the Indian media to have been shot down by an F16.
JF17 launched the Mk83 whereas the Mirage 3 let the H4 standoff weapons into enemy targets in what rattled the adversary enough for them to shoot their own aircraft in panic and confusion.
Arrogance and self awareness never go hand and in hand.
