No it's not the dealers fault that the MSRP is 30% too high
Yes. MSRP is already too high and them charging markups over MSRP is what's killing them.
Dodge raised the msrp because they saw the dealerships were profiting too much maybe. This whole situation needs to reverse.

41k for an SXT is showing how crazy it is now. I bought my fully loaded scat pack in 16 for 38k. So many suckers keep buying.
I got my 2016 scat new for 36k out the door. No sunroof or shaker, even back then that shaker package was almost 5k

I might buy a Hornet if it went down to 10k. Even that’s pushing it.
My local just sold 6 chargers this week. They had the sxt down to 25k with all rebates, $3k of them rebates you wouldn't get if you was not military. Which is fine so 28k for an sxt. Pretty fair price if you ask me. I ended up with one haha. They sold every charger besides one red sxt, rt, and scat pack. They have a killer deal on the scat pack rn.

Crazy im here in MN right now, we got some decent prices on used Cats and scats, but the brand new ones are still 65k and up. Im looking at a used 2017 cat for 48k with low miles no accidents or anything. Also there's a 22 going for 64k maybe I can talk them down a little but we'll see what happens .

Dodge maybe but not Stellantis, they’re huge overseas and they got a lot of other car companies that they own not to mention a lot of other companies. I’m pretty sure they don’t really care. They lose Dodge.

This why I bought my S550 Mustang GT.. Look at the prices on their 345's.. There not even the Scats and they are trying to get over 40K!! I bought my 17 PP1 GT with ((8,909 miles)) on her for $33K with Tax n Tags, out the door!! I have the performance Pack too, staggered wheels 255's up front and 275's in the rear, all the important stuff!! And now that the 24's are out I think if people look hard enough they will be able to find S550 Mustangs for less even depending on the number of owner's and miles on the cars..

Some dem dealers Stuck, they themselves paid to much for them! Some dealers bought cars from other Dealerships thinking they were gonna make a major profit. Those w/ 2-3k miles on them could have been bought from auction that other dealers sent. That's what they do with cars they cannot get rid of & take the L, instead of letting a qualified customer get a great deal. That floor plan bustin dem pockets open! Many bouta go under!

Some people are staying away from these vehicles because they are a liability. I wouldn't want to travel to Dallas, Houston, or New Orleans because the risk of the car being stolen will go up

@tlitesworld Those are just examples of places I would be. Basically they're targets in any big city like Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, etc
2015 i bought a loaded 15 durango rt awd for 44k
2019 i bought a loaded 392 durango for 60k
2021 i bought a loaded minus red interior hellcat durango for for 87k

Ask any insurance adjuster, its better to write the vehicle off instead of repairing it.
Nissan is doing the same thing and people are waking up to the fact that were overpaying for less quality than we got in the 80s.

There are two parts to the greed. The manufacturers and the unions driving wages the companies aren’t willing to absorb. The renegotiation all the big three went through in the last year are in the prices. The absurd wages they negotiated will be paid by consumers. The bad news, is all of them are going to be looking for work because normal people can’t afford to buy a new car.

I guess you all think that the dealership pays $20,000 for a charger when in reality the same increase you see so does the dealership. What makes you think a dealership is happy about paying $50,000 for an R/T Charger when a few years ago it was a lot less its already a hard sell since its been the same car for 8 years. the only greed you see from dealers is adjusted or additional dealer markup but MSRP is from the manufacture they don't just make up prices at the dealership. Dealerships are built to sell cars not to become storage lots our a museum for cars trust me CJDR dealers fight with Stellantis all the time because prices are too high. Stellantis is going to put dealers out of business not the dealerships themselves.
Both are greedy because they were marking up going for the last 2 years and that had nothing to do with Stellantis. Dealerships marked up demon 170 by 200k , was that Stellantis? No it was the dealer so stop acting like the dealerships are innocent. But not all dealers are bad, you just gotta find the right one

What are you shopping for? The dodge place in NC in my area is very reasonable even with these crazy msrps. They have them marked down to about 2022 prices with no dealer fees
I say 2 more months and the prices will be back right
