My daughter spent Decemder and New Year in Rio a few years back. Her boyfiend at that time was half Swiss, but his father's family was from Rio. She loved the place so much!
She cried like a baby when she had to come back to Switzerland. She is a musician and played Bossa Nova a long time before she met her former boyfriend.
She said the people in Rio were lovely.
It is funny, she has Swiss, Filipino, Italian, Spanish and some Irish blood.
But the Latino way is rooted deeply in her heart: Maybe it is true when people say that the Italians are the Brazilians of Europe and the Filipinos the Brazilians of Asia.

Moro em Natal e em 2019 tive turistando no Rio de Janeiro por sete dias, o que acho que faz com que o Rio seja uma cidade que vale à pena turistar é que tem algo como 50 lugares interessantes pra se conhecer e estes sendo na parte central da cidade ficam à poucos quilômetros ou metros de distância um do outro, em muitos casos um ponto turístico fica à alguns metros um do outro, locais como: Paço Imperial, Ilha Fiscal, Musel do Amanhã, Real Gabinete de Língua Portuguesa, Museu Nacional, Maracanã, Confeitaria Colombo, Parque Lage, Arcos da Lapa, AquaRio, Escadaria Selarón, Pedra do Sal...todos estes ficam à uma distância onde da pra percorrer à pé em alguns casos em poucos minutos ...já aqui em Natal são apenas cerca de 10 locais interessantes de se conhecer porém geralmente ficam à muitos quilômetros entre eles.
Pois é.. Muita coisa ainda se faz usando as bikes do itaú... Muito bom de pontos turísticos...
I enjoy your videos 📹 greatly. Rio is awesome. I have been to both the Christ the Redeemer and sugar loaf mountain ⛰. Also I'm a senior citizen and I showed my US passport and I got a 30% discount. I'm looking to stay in Copacabana Beach area but not right on the water will be just fine, I looking for at least a 6 month stay, maybe I can find someone to teach my how to cook Brazilian food. I have also taken the bus 🚌 and the subway. These video bring back a great amount of fond memories for me.

Love you both! Have been watching your vlogs for some time now. I'm living vicariously through your videos. I've missed travelling. It's such a hassle to travel now with all the covid tests that you need to get. We were travelling a lot to Madeira. Every year basically, If you ever get a chance to you, might like it. It's not really a beach destination. Vloggers "Stay Classy" live on the Island now and have uploaded tons of videos. You may know that is part of Portugal. It's a relatively small Island off the coast of Africa. Keep up the good work!

Was hoping you were going to go to Morro de Sao Paulo next, but enjoyed watching your day in Rio. Used to stay in the Atlantico when it was called the Ouro Verde. Great old hotel that was starting to get pretty run down 5 years ago so its good to see that they have fixed it up. Enjoy your videos very much. Parabens!

Eu realmente os admiro, espero que eles fiquem um bom tempo no Brasil (e retornem muitas vezes!!!), há tanto para descobrir (imagino eles viajando pelos Parques Nacionais e Estaduais - há tantos, são tão incríveis!!!), pelo interior do Estado de São Paulo (onde há fazendas coloniais - comida no estilo caipira típico - e pratica de canoagem em rios, balonismo, paraquedismo etc), ou viajando pelo Estado do Paraná (a bela e pequena cidade de Morretes, pegando o trem Curitiba-Morretes para descer/subir a Serra), ou indo à cidade de Bonito e outras, no Mato Grosso do Sul, ou Santa Catarina, o Pantanal, ou o Amazonas (pegando aqueles barcos-hotéis, que fazem paradas pelos rios da Amazônia para banhos em praias de rios e passeios pela Floresta)...Há tanto para descobrir...O Brasil é ESPETACULAR, e isto deve ser dito sempre milhares de vezes!!!
